It's hard to not comparing a penhold player with Xu Xin and by seeing Peifeng's game, it makes me realize again why Xu Xin is the best penholder in the current era
Zheng Peifeng serves are illegal, he blocks the vision of the ball which is obviously in slow motion (1/4 speed) 3:08 when he start serving, you can see it. Though, if Steger is so frustrated with the illegal serves, maybe he should call the head refree instead.
Steger has been in the game for a long time, he's nearly as old as Boll. Sure, he can play, he has a strong backhand. Many thought he would be a top player when he was young, but his career hasn't been as expected. The explanation could be his anger and his lack of focus.

I don't know. It's a different thing each time. Sometimes it's serve, sometimes it's just salt when he's losing... At the start of the video you see him looking at his bat when he misses. Could be that too.
He moans about Zhengs serve to the umpire, than the umpire jugde service fault to Zheng. Nothing serious, just the way Steger Act everytime. But still love His Game
Every time when I watch Steger playing, I have a feeling of vomiting. Monotonous skill and tactics as well as poor mentality. It is stupid thing to let him represent Germany Team which has wasted chance to groom up new generation. Germany Team is facing serious ageing problem.
