Lovely review of a fantastic kit. Those Monogram Snap trucks really have a very nice level of detail, especially for a 1/32 kit. (as a kid, I had ALL of them!) I would also recommend to anyone starting into big rigs, the 1/25 scale snap kits.
Very neat review and build Doug and excellent improvisation on that passenger door window! It definitely gives the impression that you can see through it. These snap kits in this scale were my introduction to heavy truck modeling! I built their 1/32 Ford Aeromax tractor back in 1998!
Glad you enjoyed it John. We did an Aeromax too. You can see it here ruclips.net/video/F20WdGo5fOQ/видео.html Check out our Big Rig playlist for all of our reviews in that genre. -Doug
These 32nd scale Monogram trucks were my introduction to truck kits when I was a child and I loved them! They are well detailed, go together without any hassle, and the stickers are certainly something I would have appreciated when I was younger because the decals were the trickiest part. Only thing I would do here is a black wash on the grille (the first one I bought which was a Freightliner cabover actually recommended that in the instructions) and on the exhaust stacks.
Just add cargo to the trailer and for realism it should be scratched up inside. I had a new utility truck (propane tech) for one week when a forklift hit it! Scratches and dents add realism.
Thank you so much for the review 💗. Cool kit.
