I bought the mascara. I hated it the first time, so I tried it two more times. Yup, still hated it. I returned it. The girl at Ulta was shocked, because she loved it.
This layers well over a thicker, volumizing mascara. For me, in combination with another thicker mascara, it looks fantastic. I get the fake lashes look and I love it! I’ve never achieved that before this product without getting spider lash.
I bought a tiny one at Ulta to try a month ago when it first came out and everyone was raving about it. I HATED it the first two times that I tried it. It gave me 4 really long lashes. So, I tucked it into my drawer and forgot about it for a few weeks. Well, let me tell you that what it really needed was TIME! For some reason, I pulled it out last week and tried it again. I loved it! I wonder if perhaps it thickened up after being open for a few weeks because it seems to be separating my lashes now instead of pulling them together. I will say that my favorite mascara combo now is one coat of Lash Paradise for volume and one of BGB on the top, and one coat of BGB on the bottom lashes. I bought the large tube this weekend at Sephora even though I have not run out of the small tube yet just so that I can open it ahead of time to prepare it before I need it. Also, I haven't had ANY transfer despite being an oily skin girl.
I don’t recommend this to anyone who has oily skin or sweats. It smudges sooooo badly on me. It really stinks because I like the way it looks right after applying. Unfortunately, after 4 hours or so, I start looking like a raccoon. Glad I only got the mini of it. Great review! Thanks Jen 😊
In the last few years I have really struggled with Mascaras transferring on my upper lids & under my eyes. I can only wear waterproof, which is a pain to remove & I end up getting build up. It’s a shame as there’s lots I’ve tried too that make my lashes look fab, but then I have black lines all over my lids within a few hours. The only mascara I have tested recently that wasn’t ‘waterproof’ & didn’t transfer is the It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara!
Great review as always Jen! I got the mini size of this mascara and I really disliked it. I have thick and long lashes and with one coat I got four clumped up lashes. It was both hilarious and horrendous at the same time. I’ll stick to the Benefit Roller Lash mascara which is my favorite. Love your channel, one day again I’ll be able to catch your live stream always miss it☹️

Hi Jen - just my two cents: the background music, in my opinion, is a bit distracting while you're talking. I actually paused the video because I thought that maybe the music was coming from another open tab in my browser, LOL! Again, just my opinion! I do appreciate the extreme close up - I hate when people say "Let me zoom you in" and then I still can't see their technique!! Love your incredibly thorough and thoughtful reviews! xo
Nope, I’m not keen either. I find because of how flexible it is that it transfers onto my lids when I apply it. Similar to how it did on Jen’s in this video. It’s so annoying, especially when I’ve done all my eye makeup 🙄
I'm a full time traveler, last time I had a long flight it was to Argentina in March so it was summer there, I went with a cheaper flight with a layover in Panama, which is extremely hot (yes inside the airport too lol). Before leaving I did my make up at 6pm on Tuesday went out for dinner, drinks, stayed up till my flight slept a little on the plane and didn't get to take it off till Thursday at 3:30am! My mascara was still on 100%. I will admit it did lose some volume but my eyelashes were still dark, and awake and lovely. It gave me pretty good volume and amazing length, i did not have the spider effect and no clumps thankfully. FYI at the time of removal it was not difficult to take off at all! No eyelashes were harmed. It's truly a 36 hr mascara. It doesn't flake at all, at least for me. It lasted!!! I have long curled eyelashes naturally, so I love how flexible and long the brush is. It truly catches the shape of my eye and I have yet to have poked myself lol. I didn't experience any sort of smudging and it applied really nicely to my bottom lashes. I think my favorite part of my body are my eyes lol so having a good mascara is super important to me. My #1 favorite right now is the Elf Volumizing mascara, along with Tarte 4in1, it would be amazing to have Badgal be cruelty free as well :-( Also for those interested in long lasting products, during this trip I used a Physicians Formula BB cream which lasted until 3pm Wednesday and it held on till my last flight to NYC which was super impressive specially for the price and the cruelty free status. It was the #InstaReady filter one... Highly recommend it. When I need things to last I go for Hourglass powder products (bronzer, highlight, blush), I used a flexible concealer by Milk and just an eyebrow gel by PF. All of my face things were on until I washed by face around 330 Wednesday. I noticed some break down of the BB but that's about it, incredibly impressed.

I personally like this mascara. I use it as a topper over maybelline lash sensational. This combo is perfect on me. I bought the mini with a 20% off coupon and will continue to buy it when the coupons go around. Not worth the full size but the mini is worth it for how I use it
I received a sample of this and my first impression was clumpy clumpy clumpy but something about the formula made me try it with another wand. I am a huge original Bad Gal fan, it’s one of my Holy Grails. I switched out my original bad gal lash wand and used it in this mascara and found I like it much better. While this isn’t my most favorite I do like it much more with the other wand.

I have blonde lashes that are long but thin. I really like the wand but didn't like that it's so wet and if you applied after it dried it clumped your lashes together. Just like you experienced. It also flaked on me, something that my other mascaras don't do. Again, just like you, I thought it was best for my lower lashes. I ended up returning it after a couple months because I never reached for it. I don't like keeping products I won't use. I'd rather use that money on a product that works better for me.

I thought I’d hate it since i was cursed with the worse eyelashes but i really likes it! I did a 30 hour test and it was great! I even had a bad dream and cried in my sleep. I’m impressed. I told my hubby it’s the perfect “walk of shame” mascara!!!

See that’s strange, I actually found that this mascara gave me massive volume, to the point they looked too clumpy for me. I had watched a couple of reviews and everyone said the first use can be rather daunting. I’ve used this a couple of times now and I always have to separate my lashes from each other with a spoolie or comb. I just cannot get it to work without it really thickening my lashes. I also find this does transfer onto my lids because of how flexible the wand is. That said I do love it for my lower lashes, but do also find it melts over the day into my under eye concealer regardless of what concealer, powder etc I use. It does lengthen my lashes a bit but not excessively if I’m honest. Great review as always Jen. I absolutely love how thorough u are in your reviews, even when u do things you really don’t like. 😊

Omg i was waiting for your review on this mascara, there is this Spanish beauty blogger and she tested this one and the NYX Worth the hype and they basically almost the same product and half the price!
i bought this and after applying i thought i had found my holy grail mascara.... 1 hour later i looked in the mirror and changed my mind. this lengthened my lashes so well.. but they touch my brow bone and and it TRANSFERS like no other!!!!! i had black smudges all over.. and after having to wipe it all off my eyeshadow blending above the crease was ruined 😭
I love this mascara! I curl my lashes and literally just keep brushing my lashes with the wand, I never dip my wand back into the tube, just use up all the product on the brush! I work at Sephora, haven’t had any returns(at least when I’m there).
I have not tried this because I am stuck on the It Cosmetics SuperHero but that lip color on you is totally gorgeous, I mean that combo is just perfect, love it! XOXO
I do like it! You are right is about preference... No volume but for the look that I want is working for me. I purchased this one at the airport and during my trip i dislike at all, but after 6 days I do lile it.

I bought this when it hit Sephora and I agree, it does a good job to lengthen lashes but nothing for volume. Also, I decided to test out the claim of 36 hours of wear and can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt that THAT claim is untrue. 24 hours and it will flake everywhere and feel super crusty. Not a good look or feel. My Loreal waterproof voluminous carbon back performed much much better for a fraction of the cost. 😉
I love mascara review videos. I haven't seen one in a while, I feel like everyone is all about the fake eyelashes now. But I don't have time for that in my life.
I own this mascara and I do like it, I have naturally long lashes so it gives me a good dramatic effect, is it the best mascara ever ? NO I personally like IT superhero mascara better, benefit roller lash, YSL and a few others a lot better but it’s not bad. I wear it especially on more relaxed comfortable days. I think lash paradise by l’oreal from the drug store is just as good.
Have you tried applying mascaras in different ways? The wiggle, the twirling, a layer from the top, etc. In my own experience I get very different looks with changing the methods.
Hey Jen! Have you noticed if it gets better with time? I mean, sometimes wet formulas get better after a couple of weeks because it gets dryer. Anyway, for the price, I'll stick to drugstore mascaras.
For me top mascaras are the ones that have the best of both worlds ,lengthening AND volume. Plus I don't find the need to pay for a high end one, if I do it will be the travel Size ones which last long enough for me. My favourite one atm is the paradise from maybelline

I got this as a sample on my ipsy bag and I was super excited, this mascara made me feel like I didn't know how to apply mascara! My lid was super smudgy 😬. I think it's just ok; I'm glad for my sample but I won't be getting the full size.... probably ever 🤷🏻♀️ Side note: that was a crazy launch and I don't really think the product lives up to the hype
I have allergies, so my eyes can run water sometimes. This mascara definitely didn't hold up under my watery eyes. It also doesn't hold my curl. I have naturally straight lashes. Even if I curl them, as soon as this hits them, they start to fall. That being said, I do like the look of it, so if I'm having a natural makeup day, and if my eyes aren't bothering me, I still wear it. Also, I don't wear it to church or anywhere else I think I may end up crying LOL
I scrolled down the description to see if you mentioned what lipstick you're wearing (because it's gorgeous), but here you're saying it's wonky! The CCK's in our heads (and in comment sections) have us preemptively apologizing for even the beautiful stuff. 😅
If you like spider lashes, this stuff is great 😂. I didn’t like the clumpiness and how messy it is. I get a lot of transfer on my lids from it. I’ve been using Bad Gal first and then go back over it with Roller Lash and it gives a nice look, but on its own, is a NO from me. Will not repurchase, I’ll stick with Roller Lash, it’s a far superior mascara.
Since my sister works for a beauty retailer, I get a lot of her gratis... glad I didn’t shell out for this one... it clumped up badly on me... I want length and volume, but I like separation, too... there are lots of no name Japanese brands that I end up getting from a local Japanese grocer in my area $5-$7 that are fabulous, but they have fibers, and a lot of people hate those.
I love Bad Gal Bang mascara a lot because my lashes are very short and sparse. I do find the brush difficult because it is so huge. it is a very thick, heavy mascara. I do love it and am wearing it most of the time. I can actually see my lashes! But I wish the brush was smaller.
I need the volume also so I think I would pass on this one. I wonder how it would layer with an actual voluminous mascara. Thanks for taking one for the team 😆😆😆

It probably would’ve been easier just to spray your eyes with a spray bottle instead of pouring water on it LOL! Also when you were putting the mascara on the hair oh my God it was driving me nuts I wanted to wipe it away! Good review though I’ve been thinking about trying that mascara but I won’t now. 😊 xo
There was a mascara I loved that was long and flimsy like this. I'm not sure if it was PUR. -But you could twist the end of it and the brush/wand would tighten smaller and then longer, so you could have whatever size you want :)
I like this more now that it dried out a touch, it was too watery when I first purchased. I only like it when I use my colossal lash mascara as my second coat to separate my lashes, really pretty look with that combo. That being said I don't know if I would repurchase as its expensive to have to use more than just that singular product
Actually, I have small size mascaras that came in my Birchbox and the wand does not look like the same wand as in your video. Maybe if I had the full size, the brush would be better (not so big).
I have blonde short sparse lashes and I just always go back to the Better than Sex mascara its the only one that I can get super full lashes. I really need that big fluffy brush , those thin short wands just don't cut it.
For a 24 hour mascara it should definitely not leave mascara marks on your eyelids. If you still had eyeshadow on, especially a very pale shimmery shade, that can ruin the look. I have tried a few that have wands that do that to me, but my favorite wands don't cause that no matter how quick and sloppy my application is.
I’m curious as to how it would look with a primer like the one from Lancome. I love the Roller Lash with the Lancome primer. I have short straight lashes.

I have fallen love with the Lancôme monsieur big mascara and my love for it has stopped me from buying any other mascara. But I get 3 subscription boxes and they also tend to send me a lot of mascara so I have so many from my boxes that I can't even go out and buy my Lancôme. i bought this and after applying i thought i had found my holy grail mascara.... 1 hour later i looked in the mirror and changed my mind. this lengthened my lashes so well.. but they touch my brow bone and and it TRANSFERS like no other!!!!! i had black smudges all over.. and after having to wipe it all off my eyeshadow blending above the crease was ruined 😭
I love this mascara! I curl my lashes and literally just keep brushing my lashes with the wand, I never dip my wand back into the tube, just use up all the product on the brush! I work at Sephora, haven’t had any returns(at least when I’m there).
I have not tried this because I am stuck on the It Cosmetics SuperHero but that lip color on you is totally gorgeous, I mean that combo is just perfect, love it! XOXO

I do like it! You are right is about preference... No volume but for the look that I want is working for me. I purchased this one at the airport and during my trip i dislike at all, but after 6 days I do lile it.
I also only use it for my lower lash line. Don’t like how it clumps up top but on the bottom it’s amazing.

I love mine I had a sample size thru ipsy and I love it. I usally use urban decay but I think this is my new favorite
I bought this when it hit Sephora and I agree, it does a good job to lengthen lashes but nothing for volume. Also, I decided to test out the claim of 36 hours of wear and can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt that THAT claim is untrue. 24 hours and it will flake everywhere and feel super crusty. Not a good look or feel. My Loreal waterproof voluminous carbon back performed much much better for a fraction of the cost. 😉

I love mascara review videos. I haven't seen one in a while, I feel like everyone is all about the fake eyelashes now. But I don't have time for that in my life.
I own this mascara and I do like it, I have naturally long lashes so it gives me a good dramatic effect, is it the best mascara ever ? NO I personally like IT superhero mascara better, benefit roller lash, YSL and a few others a lot better but it’s not bad. I wear it especially on more relaxed comfortable days. I think lash paradise by l’oreal from the drug store is just as good.
Have you tried applying mascaras in different ways? The wiggle, the twirling, a layer from the top, etc. In my own experience I get very different looks with changing the methods.

Hey Jen! Have you noticed if it gets better with time? I mean, sometimes wet formulas get better after a couple of weeks because it gets dryer.
Anyway, for the price, I'll stick to drugstore mascaras.
For me top mascaras are the ones that have the best of both worlds ,lengthening AND volume. Plus I don't find the need to pay for a high end one, if I do it will be the travel Size ones which last long enough for me. My favourite one atm is the paradise from maybelline

I got this as a sample on my ipsy bag and I was super excited, this mascara made me feel like I didn't know how to apply mascara! My lid was super smudgy 😬. I think it's just ok; I'm glad for my sample but I won't be getting the full size.... probably ever 🤷🏻♀️
Side note: that was a crazy launch and I don't really think the product lives up to the hype

I have allergies, so my eyes can run water sometimes. This mascara definitely didn't hold up under my watery eyes. It also doesn't hold my curl. I have naturally straight lashes. Even if I curl them, as soon as this hits them, they start to fall. That being said, I do like the look of it, so if I'm having a natural makeup day, and if my eyes aren't bothering me, I still wear it. Also, I don't wear it to church or anywhere else I think I may end up crying LOL
I bought that and returned it before I even opened it because of reviews. I like my rollerlash.

This mascara was just ok for me. It works but it isn’t amazing. I think it would be better to save your money and buy the roller lash. It’s so good!!

If you like spider lashes, this stuff is great 😂. I didn’t like the clumpiness and how messy it is. I get a lot of transfer on my lids from it. I’ve been using Bad Gal first and then go back over it with Roller Lash and it gives a nice look, but on its own, is a NO from me. Will not repurchase, I’ll stick with Roller Lash, it’s a far superior mascara.

Since my sister works for a beauty retailer, I get a lot of her gratis... glad I didn’t shell out for this one... it clumped up badly on me... I want length and volume, but I like separation, too... there are lots of no name Japanese brands that I end up getting from a local Japanese grocer in my area $5-$7 that are fabulous, but they have fibers, and a lot of people hate those.
I love Bad Gal Bang mascara a lot because my lashes are very short and sparse. I do find the brush difficult because it is so huge. it is a very thick, heavy mascara. I do love it and am wearing it most of the time. I can actually see my lashes! But I wish the brush was smaller.
I need the volume also so I think I would pass on this one. I wonder how it would layer with an actual voluminous mascara. Thanks for taking one for the team 😆😆😆

It probably would’ve been easier just to spray your eyes with a spray bottle instead of pouring water on it LOL! Also when you were putting the mascara on the hair oh my God it was driving me nuts I wanted to wipe it away! Good review though I’ve been thinking about trying that mascara but I won’t now. 😊 xo
There was a mascara I loved that was long and flimsy like this. I'm not sure if it was PUR. -But you could twist the end of it and the brush/wand would tighten smaller and then longer, so you could have whatever size you want :)

I like this more now that it dried out a touch, it was too watery when I first purchased. I only like it when I use my colossal lash mascara as my second coat to separate my lashes, really pretty look with that combo. That being said I don't know if I would repurchase as its expensive to have to use more than just that singular product

Actually, I have small size mascaras that came in my Birchbox and the wand does not look like the same wand as in your video. Maybe if I had the full size, the brush would be better (not so big).

I have blonde short sparse lashes and I just always go back to the Better than Sex mascara its the only one that I can get super full lashes. I really need that big fluffy brush , those thin short wands just don't cut it.
I'm not crazy about it...it makes my lashes clumpy, thank goodness I only bought the small one!

I do like this mascara but do agree it doesn’t Volumise.
My lashes looked like yours. Rapid lash (thinly)top and bottom fixed that! They are fluffy.
For a 24 hour mascara it should definitely not leave mascara marks on your eyelids. If you still had eyeshadow on, especially a very pale shimmery shade, that can ruin the look. I have tried a few that have wands that do that to me, but my favorite wands don't cause that no matter how quick and sloppy my application is.
I’m curious as to how it would look with a primer like the one from Lancome. I love the Roller Lash with the Lancome primer. I have short straight lashes.
I love the look of it, but smudges like crazy on me!

Its not just the subs or notification issue, sooo many times on ur page other pages I hit like....revist page later and its not liked, I'll have to like 2 or 3 xs
I have fallen love with the Lancôme monsieur big mascara and my love for it has stopped me from buying any other mascara. But I get 3 subscription boxes and they also tend to send me a lot of mascara so I have so many from my boxes that I can't even go out and buy my Lancôme. Mine is expiring and I keep catching myself grabbing for it so I'm going to have to suck it up and buy another one lol.
