    Honestly I wonder why all these companies refuse to just make these strips powered by USB. Really don't need another power brick.
    So far I have only seen one do so that is Cololight.

    I am using Govee light light stripes. I dont see any difference, i prefer Govee app dream view. Nice video informative, i prefer Govee lighting.

    Really nice review 👏I do wish Aqara also released a Thread version of the Lightstrip, but zigbee is also very good. This lightstrip is definitely better than my Yeelight one with more zones and now that the Aqara app can export scenes to HomeKit, automation is much easier with other devices.

      Thanks. I found the Yeelight strip to be difficult to much with, even via the Yeelight app. The Aqara is better for sure, especially with the app.

    Hi , Just a small question here, for the cut pieces , is there anyway i can rejoin them if i have another strip that i would like to extend it?

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  3 месяца назад

      If the strip is also the same model (T1) and it has the controller part connected to the main strip, then you should be able to connect the spare parts you have. You will need to source a suitable connector for it, in lieu of any possible soldering options.

    How flexible are the strips? Could you bend it round the corner of a piece of furniture?

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  Год назад +3

      It’s pretty much the same as most other light strips currently on the market. So you can get them to bend to a certain amount, but you do have to ensure the contacts or LED parts are strained too much that they break or lose contact.

    Fantastic review of another solid Aqara product. I’m a big fan of theirs. The update to their app which allows easier transfer of really lifted lighting products.

      Thanks. I think you’ll be even more impressed with the forthcoming T1 ceiling light. The app update has already made a big difference to how I’m able to control certain devices more efficiently too.

      @@homekitnewsis this T1 ceiling light coming to the US? I’d be interested in that! (Also thanks for this video… Aqara is on a roll and so are you! 🙌).

      @@blakewillard7922 yes, the T1 ceiling light, that is already out in China, will be released internationally. I’m not sure when, but for the worldwide release it’ll be branded as the T1M for some reason. I’ve got two of the China models here and one of the international model, and they’re fantastic. Much cheaper than anything by Philips Hue as well, which sell insanely expensive ceiling lights.

    Has anyone had any luck getting the extension strips to work for the T1? I’ve adjusted the length within the Aqara app but it still doesn’t work.

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  11 месяцев назад

      You might have to remove and reset it. It worked first time for me, so if a reset doesn’t help, it might be a faulty extension.

    i'm w/ u on either zigbee or threadi rather than wifi. i like when you integrate comparisons to other brands. i hate "shorts" but i saw your short on the Aqara ceiling lamp, I bought the Taloya lamp thinking the 2 lights would be seperate, big disappointment. what was the connector for the ceiling mount? I don't know if Taiwan uses a similar twist lock connector as Japan. thanks for your videos and your time.

      I’m not aware of a Taloya lamp or brand. Do you mean Tuya?

    Transitions effect seem to be not smooth as onivs or govee rivals. Though compatibility is great.

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  Год назад

      I think that’s down to the amount of LEDs per zone. Onvis has twice the zones so the colours so blend better.

    Can you set the white temperature on the Aqara strip ? Like 3000k ?

    • @homekitnews
      @homekitnews  Год назад

      Yes, in the Aqara app you can use the slider in the white colour temperature section to adjust it to a specific number.
