    Well explained. I've been researching solar just before and during lockdown. You're on the money. The garden is looking amazing. I'm gutted I can get growing in jamaica as I'm having to work in the Babylon to build slowly over many years. Pray Yahuah I see my dream. Keep up the good work.👊🏾🇬🇧🇯🇲

    Damn, so many buildings have gone up around you in such a short time. Its incredible how there is a global cash crunch but people find the money to build that quickly..

    So glad Ms. Gad graces us with her presence. She was dearly missed and looking lovely as always . Ghana is definitely agreeing with her soul. Congrats to you all for the great achievements you've amounted in a very short period down there. Looks like the sky is only the limit as to how far you can go.

    The explanation of the solar system, was the best l have heard so far. Easy to follow.

    My two cents about solar batteries. I have a 5kw lithium LifePO battery. It's important to know that batteries aren't 100% efficient so you'll loose some of the power through transmission and heating plus the inverter will use some of the power. For an average SMALL house, I'll say 10kw is the minimum for reliable overnight load (minus major appliances). The bigger the battery storage the better cus it can compensate for small solar panel capacity with stored power. And like you mentioned, lithium batteries are the most expensive component

    Great 👍 SOLAR presentation. Can you also go a bit deeper and address SOLAR POWER WALLS ? Not sure if this is accessible in Ghana but I think it would help us make better decisions to upgrade GREEN ENERGY supply for our homes. Thanks 👍

    I really didn't investigate solar power much because I knew it was very expensive to install. I learned a lot here. So my question is. Since the battery's are only guaranteed to last 10 years before replacement might be necessary , can you really save money in that time frame in GHANA?

    • @kingstal90
      @kingstal90  2 года назад

      Good Question
      That need a payback calculation to determine
      If ghana had the economic incentive like some other nations it would be more attractive

      ECG, the power providers, is very expensive and unreliable. Overall, you would have your money's worth. The convenience of having power every day would be worth every dime of your investment

    Does the corn have constant street light exposure? That could mess up with natural photosynthesis making them grow tall but little yield

    Hello there, how about using a backup generator to charge the batteries and run your house when the weather is cloudy and there is not enough sun to run your system, instead of ECG?

    • @kingstal90
      @kingstal90  2 года назад +1

      Of course
      That is possible also
      Just check the cost of fuel vs the tariff from ECG

    so using 400 watt panels, using 60% as the generation number for the panel gives us, 400 X 0.60 = 240 watts. ouch.
    for a 10,000 watt system = 10 kw one would need 10000 / 240 = 41.6 so 42, 400 watt panels.
    say a panel is 1133 mm X 1723 mm = 1.133m X 1.723m = 1.952 square meters. 2 square meters. for 42 panels X 2 square meters, one would need at least 84 square meters?
    hm, I wonder what a system would cost. just for the panels in Ghana.
    with such a system and 10KW of storage batteries, 5 hours on average solar, 5 X 10KWh...
    such a system would fill the batteries in say an hour or so? I wonder is it possible to have batteries that could run the full house, full load for 14 days? what would that look like?
    I'm thinking wrong, right?
    if lots are 100m X 70m a ground mount system would work or elevating the panels would still allow it to fit right. (not placing everything on the roof) 100X70= 7000 sq. meters, 7000 sq. meters - 84 sq. meters = 6910 sq. meters still a lot of space or not?
    I must be miscalculating right?
    very interesting video, very educational.
    hey, would evaporative cooling work in Ghana?
