From a relavitive, practical standpoint, I agree: If a seeker has a family with young children, they have a responsibility to support them. On the absolute level, there is no freedom of choice. Everyone will do exactly what their karma, their genetic makeup and their social conditioning dictates that they do. Good point, that you dont have to meditate alone in a cave for years. Spiritual practice is possible anywhere and everywhere. A difficult family is an opportunity to practice patience, compassion, selflessness and forgiveness.
