    Tried Stegra out today, Thomas. A test route of 110 km here in Bavaria made by Stegra with 85% of unpaved roads, due to a lot of shaping points that drive the unpaved section upwards. About 8 "no entry" signs and 2 "overgrown bush roads". The rest a blast! Diverse nature, diverse tracks, open land, dense and cool forests, everything in between. Quite the contrary to what I expected from the algorhythm. Stegra is not 100% foolproof in Bavaria. I still have to check a Stegra track, but it is much faster to check than ride by feeling in very junction and have to turn 'round. Thanks for the suggestion, Günter/Nürnberg

      Stegra is that sometimes here in Norway as well, or sometimes it finds itself taking the ferry from Bergen to Ålesund (the west coast) instead of the road up. But every time someone use it, and the constant updates they put out. I guess this will be one of the best tools out there for good adventures in countries you are not that familiar in. Glad you had a good experience with this app. Cheers

      Ooohh it was mate. I transfer my tracks trough the Tread app on my phone and then it sync over to the unit. @@tshansen I’ve found the same. I’m going to Scotland next week with a friend. I planned the route with waypoints and about 150 shaping points. The Garmin just disregarded them and wanted to route directly up the motorway!
      Anyway, my workaround has been to use MyRouteApp, and then transfer the GPX 1.1 file to my XT2 on my Mac with Android File Transfer. A lot more work, and I’ve told Garmin - hopefully they fix it soon!

    • @tshansen
      @tshansen  Год назад +1

      Well, most first aid kit's are quite basic. It all comes down to what knowledge you have. With a certain level of skills and knowledge I would perfect the first aid kit towards that, but this is a sensitive topic I have not yet talked about in any of my videos. Because there is always someone arguing about what is best, better or not great. I have been watching yours and other youtube channels looking for ideas as to where to go. It can be a bit overwhelming trying to fit everything in as I don't want to miss anything on a once in a lifetime trip.

      I know all about how overwhelmed you can be, going trough different channel, search and pictures. And for your trip, you just have to accept that you can't see it all. With that said, send me a email, and I will try to answer you if you can give me a little bit of information, what time of year, how long etc. I will try to help you out. Cheers
