Another option is to use the maptune LED software conversion. I did that to my 2008 2.0L and used Auxito LED lights for the headlights and license plates. No errors and all bulbes were plug and play. I ordered from Swedespeed in the USA. Thanks for your videos they are very informative!
One of my daytime running lights went out this week and I was considering looking into LEDs, so this video couldn't have come at a better time! Thanks for another great video.
Gary, haven't seen your Saab video for a while .... Good to see you're back with some new upgrades ! I'm a lazy person, doing such a big chunk of work, downloading the software, adjusting many things with the PC, buying new PC adaptor etc ... just for the Fog LIght, SOORY I won't do that .... Haha ! Anyway, This video is full of challenge and informative and Thanks for sharing !
I ran into the same problem when I had mine upgraded. I ended up bringing it in to beacon motors, the Saab specialist in Toronto, Canada. I'm forwarding your video to him to have a look at. He had problems with it to but seemed to sort it out, though the 'eyebow' LED aren't consistent. Great job!
FYI, I finally found that Hikari branded error eliminators and their LEDs do not flash and no error codes also on my 08. Though this took some trial and error and your solution is a much better option.
Found them used on Facebook Marketplace. Someone had them on their Chevy Malibu and wanted to get rid of them for cheap. I have a buddy with a powder coating business, so I had him refinish them so they now loom better than new!
On all the tech2 comm port issue. Those cheapy FTDI USB work fine if you don’t want to spring for the more expensive Keyspan. I use them all the time. They will not SPS though. Just to be clear, with the Hirschmann app you don’t need the Canbus Error hardware you installed in Foglight well, right? It will now, no longer tell you anything about the bulbs.
I had nothing but trouble with the cheap adaptors but glad to hear others have had success with them! As for the additional canbus fog light harness, it is not needed with the Hirschmann program. The program will get rid of any light strobing and bulb out alerts.
These wheels are 18x8. The roads are awful where I live and I would destroy anything bigger. Here is a video on my wheels ruclips.net/video/kWaalkmjiGI/видео.htmlsi=FEo-5MYn-FNq0CNR
I did mine using the same software couple of weeks ago, but didn't set UEC and REC Check freq. to OFF, so I am still getting errors in the dashboard, but no flickering. Need to run the program once again 🥱🥱

Hirschmann Koxha is amasing ! Already did 5 cars and was the first one to test it with the Tech2 passthrough
Thanks for an in depth solution,
It's not wasted on us subscribers.
Well done.

How big are the wheels? I am thinking g about swapping my wheels out for 18 or 19 inch wheels but am unsure how wide I want to go.
