Thank you Father Gomis. One of the greatest movies ever produced I feel, was the old silent film of Saint Anthony of Padua. It is absolutely beautiful.
It is important to consume information that is good for us . I do listen to the Rosary , SSPX Homilies, teachings against modernism , virtue building ; changing faults . Shows like Andy Griffith have a good versus evil or bad choice , moral of thought with encouraging a good . I watch an I Love Lucy for comedy but it shows faults and consequences … and movie I enjoy is something historical or It’s A Wonderful Life a Christmas movie . Your homily of truth is very appreciated! Thank you Father
The Wizard of Heaven (1930s) - black and white, filmed in French with excellent English subtitles, wonderfully made. It's about St. John Vianney and about how he struggled with the devil from the first moment he stepped into Ars. This movie is free to view on RUclips.
Regarding whether the Vatican II Council was Pastoral or Authoritative in its teaching (Dogmatic), Pope Paul VI stated: "But one thing must be noted here, namely, that the teaching authority of the Church, even though not wishing to issue extraordinary dogmatic pronouncements, has made thoroughly known its authoritative teaching on a number of questions". (Address of Pope Paul VI at the Last General Meeting of the Second Vatican Council, 7 December 1965). This being so, a Catholic in good standing cannot withhold assent to the Council's teaching nor refuse submission to its authority.
Maybe we could carefully share some good movies? The Blind Side is very good but unfortunately some unnecessary language. ODDBALL is excellent...clean and no bad language
Thank you Father
