Other birds do come to the defense of birds being attacked by sparrowhawks. Hippos have been known to save deer from crocodile attacks. Monkeys have been known to save other animals from cheetah attacks. So, if she wants to help then that's in her nature to do so, and we're apart of nature. It wouldn't work anyway, the sparrowhawk would fly off with the prey.
