I literally started yesterday and I'm sucked in and went to get some tips. and BOOM, you posted this yesterday! Thanks mate, this was great and made a huge difference for me!
Creatures ABSOLUTELY hear you. If you walk near one while it is sleeping, you will wake it. If you run anywhere close to one, it will chase you. Always crouch when close to an enemy you want to sneak attack, or it will call for help the moment you get near melee distance.
Getting some distance between you and your drop pod when you first land is a good idea too. Some people camp the coasts for fresh drops and head right for them.
The generators are low key banger. Already getting close to 1k/hr for the kmarks. The hideout upgrades in this game are cool and effective. I also like the amount of levels they have.
I played it for the first time today. Got tasked of getting a certain item and went to the Water Facility. While I was there, I heard gunshots so I thought it was another player. I saw a monster coming after him so I shoot the thing down to help. Maybe that's when he knew that I was in the same area so he started shooting at me and I died, man 💀
Today I played for my first time. I had one game where I shot at someone and he replied with "hey quit it im busy looting" and other guy camping in a bush scared I almost instantly killed him but he yelled out "please don't kill me" I showed both encounters mercy because it's more fun that way in my opinion for both parties involved🤣
I started the tutorial today and literally 2 minutes later it started an almost 5-10 minute storm (No idea how long, i just kept running) with no idea of what was going on and unable to evac cause of it XD Yay tutorial showing the high stress situations ahead!
i played this game the 1st day in beta and played for about a week and got about 70 hours. this game has alot of potential to be something. im just hoping they dont look at tarkov for every move they make.
Well said, I have over 1000 hours in Tarkov, but due to life I just don't have the time and mental energy to sink into that game anymore. However The Cycle I feel is nice cause its that loop but with alot more quality of life in terms of progression and not demanding as much of your time. Which that is a philosophy they need to take, yes their base is Tarkov no question, but they are lined up to be the more casual spin on the extraction shooter genre that people have been wanting, they just need to seize that and like you said not base every move off of how tarkov does stuff.
Never played Tarkov. In my first game i only brought a pistol and bag, literally. i got some minerals for a quest and then underestimated the npc mobs and got chased down bc i brought no meds. second game i brought a pdw and stims and ended up getting the drop on a player and killed them and freaked out looting a full green bag not knowing what any of it was. shat myself running to the nearest evac and made out with about 8k of stuff including a fully modded gun. one of the mst fun gaming moments for me in a long time
There are multiple instances of each map though, and I would consider a round being your time between station visits, Ive stayed through 2 storms once because the evac was so far and major opposition would appear at choke points.
Insurance is almost ALWAYS worth it. The ONLY time where insurance is a net loss is if you plan on selling the gun (or if you plan on not dying until the next reset 😜)
0:03 sorry to complain so early in the video, but i wouldnt call this game a "tarkov knockoff" just because you lose your gear on death and you extract to keep it. its an extraction shooter.
have to say, every time i had meet humans on the map they had tried to kill me but one, he was like he never get a gun out and when he managed to escape from me i think he used the voice chat to tell me "what the hell, man" other than that i had died not even knowing where the heck my enemy was, i had killed people that tried to kill me. i wish there was a way to actually tell people you dont arent hostile, at least on the beginin when im still trying to complete these missions. once i got crushed by the evac ship :D
If you hold Alt it will appear a wheel of voice commands I usually use the DONT SHOOT!! to make friendlys I even make a guy help me in one of the puzzles i was working and shared the loot and he even called a evac ship for me... What a nice guy
@@erzengeldc646 you are so lucky, like i said most of the times i got shot from my back so there isnt even a reason they shot at me, so now, whenever i see somebody even if they hadnt noticed me i just try to kill em because i dont know if they will try to do the same later on. like one of my last runs, i just got down the ship, i mean just spawning on map and i got shot by i guess a sniper rifle, i barely managed to scape, but damn that guy was spawn camping xD
You can talk out in the open without seeing people and strike up conversations that way. "Hellooo is anyone out there!?" "Anyone near [Insert map location]?" You can hear the ALT wheel voice from a pretty good distance too.
Yeah I was about to say that lol. A beginner's guide should consist of all the things you have to LEARN with experience. So you can skip time learning yourself and just understand what you need to know from 1 video. Not the things that are covered in the damn tutorial.
I’ve honestly not had a difficult time adjusting to the combat, and I’ve got some pointers: 1. Overall, stay away from shotguns for pvp, their range is not ideal for it, but take one if you need to complete a PvE kill quest 2. If you can aim it, the scrapper might be one of the best early game weapons for it’s DPS, that being said it has some beefy recoil, and a low ammo capacity so shot placement will help you 3. Snipers are perfect for opening engagement due to the range and damage, you won’t need anything higher power than 3x in my opinion 4. Have a plan for where you move, if you want to get quests done, think out your route 5. Loot caches can be found around the map and usually can spawn a rusty version of the grey weapons and ammo for it, dealing less damage, but hey it’s free, and a good way to gear up if you got nothing
Apparently shotguns are OP right now, and they do really good damage if you ADS with them, the spread physics on it is a bit weird from what I've heard
Ive only played about 3 hours of this game, and it seems interesting but im undecided if I want to really get into it or not. Would you say its worth it? I'd say Apex legends is my favourite shooter, but I like how the pace of this game is like.. the opposite of Apex, I like how its very survival based, u can't really pop 20 shields and med kits for 10 mins haha
Why not melee rattlers? Better then shooting and letting your location known to your immediate vicinity, idc if I'm not heard half way around the map, they are far. I'm worried about my neighbors, the ones where I'm going or coming to me. Two person, one infront one behind and hes dead in 4 heavy hits?
Disagree, most of my kills are from hearing people shoot NPC's, and I watch them with a binocular to get a better position and kill them. Could just be my headphones, but mine don't seal very well(on-ears), so if I can hear them.. you should too
Does my old acc progress migrate? I've played this game before the steam version was released on epic. Think I had a lot of currencies and stuff, and guns unlocked
@@Kilioh15 It wasn't a battle royale. It was the same as Frontier but with different mechanics. There are multiple instances of each map though, and I would consider a round being your time between station visits, Ive stayed through 2 storms once because the evac was so far and major opposition would appear at choke points.
Technically when the storm is over, the server opens up to new players, so many will land at the same time following a storm.
You can open the map on the drop if you open your objectives first.
