Honey, "Mi negra" is an endearing and charming lovename or nickname for women and even men "Mi negro" in Mexico and Latinamerica, for us is something so natural since many people over here is dark skinned or tanned, even we say "negrita" or "negrito" to the ones we love, our children, friend etc.
It's a harmless expression over here and people honestly don't even give it a racist meaning.

Danissa Rivas You’re bringing racism where there is no need too, the singer is Mexican and in Mexico like other Latino Countries have that custom. It wasn’t meant in a negative way, but if it is taken negatively to you and your country then maybe don’t listen to the song if it bothers you so much. My point being that when the lyrics were made for this song originally there was no malicious intent in fact the opposite but the fact that you’re country sees it differently and decides to label it as racist is stupid, go complain about something else and let others enjoy the song, no ones promoting racism, no ones trying to make racist comments people are just listening to the song

There are so many things I have to say.
1) He isn't the original writer od the song.
2) The song loses alot over translation. The translation says "little girl" but in spanish "chamaca"/"muchacha" is a term that refers to a young woman in her late teens/early 20s.
- like "piruli" doesn't really refer to a lollipop face, it is more endearing like sweet face or sweet lips.
3) In Latin countries when anyone is refered to as "nergo"/"negra" it is not a racist term. It is more of a friendly term most commonly used with people you know.

This is and old song from Pedro Infante he was and still is the GOAT despite being death for a long time now, few have dare to make covers of his songs but Fernandez nailed this one big time.
Is a song from a movie called “a toda máquina” and there it had a different meaning since he was singing it to his friend because a practical joke he did to him.
The original song, was with pedro infante back in 1948 its even better.
When he says "negra" it doesn't refer to a racist term.... it's actually refering as a lovely term for a dark skinned girl.... it's a sweet term.... 😁😁😁
