  • Ilex guayusa is a tree from the holly family, native to the Amazon, whose leaves, rich in caffeine, are used to prepare a tea with stimulating effects, known as guayusa in Spanish and with variants in indigenous languages such as Kichwa and Shuar. Zumba, on the other hand, is an Ecuadorian city in Zamora Chinchipe, near the border with Peru, with a warm-humid climate, 4,154 inhabitants and an economy based on agriculture and livestock; in addition, it has the La Balsa international bridge as the main connection between both countries in that region.
