- PSA PSA NEW SERIES HAS ARRIVED!! Y'all asked for it and now I'm delivering. What a ride this first watch was, and the end of episode 3??? Are you kidding?? The sisters are fighting! I'm blown away by the animation, the music, the cinematography, I can't wait to get to the end. OOOF.

From the animation to the voice acting to the story being told Arcane could go down as one of the greatest shows live action or animation of all time imo... it's certainly in the running for best season 1 ever for any show. Can't wait for the rest of your reactions

Also, I normally have to defend Vi because, as the older of the two sisters, a lot of people seem to think that a 14-16 year old who just watched each one of her family members die one after the other should have acted more responsible, yet immediately forgives Powder for murder. No Vi shouldn't have punched her sister, but I agree that Powder caused this for herself. I don't think she's stupid though, Powder needed someone to comfort her and the second Vi wasn't there she latched her bloody fingers onto the closest humanoid, who just so happened to know a thing or two about being betrayed by someone they considered a sibling and could empathize with her.
@@therren9981 Yeah, both sisters have experienced severe trauma from a young age. They are different people and have different coping mechanisms, but they are both affected by their early life experiences. Under the best of circumstances, children (even teenagers) are not known for having great decision making skills, let alone deeply traumatized children with no access to mental health services. I just don’t understand why some viewers feel the need to vilify one sister while totaling excusing the other. I’ve seen it go both ways. They are both troubled and imperfect and I empathize with both characters

Heimerdinger witnessed the Rune Wars. Imagine a world war where every faction has a magical weapon that can do the damage of a nuke, without the radiation.
This. Several civilizations and even landmasses were erased completely by the use of the world runes. The people in the council are weary and they are just the descendants of those who lived through it.
Heimy has the traumas.
Your reaction at the end siding with Vi and sorta blaming Powder just proves this show is a true masterpiece. I’ve seen a lot of people/reactors hating Vi for what she did with Powder and also a lot who understands her just like you. Just shows how this show is a matter of perspective.

Glad to see someone who has empathy for Vi, yes, she made mistakes. But the whole point of the storyline was that everyone made mistakes. But I think there’s a point where when your mistakes unintentionally cause death, or trauma, you have to stop looking at that person to place blame, and instead give empathy. Like you can clearly see both powder and vi already place enough blame on themselves and they didn’t mean the traumatizing outcome. Like you said, their intentions were very very good.
Vi not only made a mistake, she fucked up no less than Powder. Vander must die because of her (because Silco never gives a chance for Piltover put on prison Hero of Zaune). She puts both kids on the Silco trap. She was luckier than Powder, and Vander is a better parent than she is sibling for Powder.

The dude who voices Marcus is Malaysian-Australian and much like in the original games, many of the character models were based on their VAs just with the haircolors sometimes changed to match the game counterparts if they had them . One of the great things about this show is it gives depth to not only the "League of Legends" champions in it but also the new characters so that everyone feels like they are part of this world and a fully fleshed-out human being with flaws,quirks and neuroses that makes sense considering where they come from.
powder is mentally ill already and codependent and the life they live and her sisters mentality don't help matters

JB Blanc who voices Vander was born in France where this show was animated but grew up in England so technically, he`s a French-born Brit.

Powder doesn't know Silco's evil since she hasn't met him yet till ep 3 at the end and she's like 9 pre-timeskip so she's easily influenced that's why she took Silco's side at the end

Thats not why she took his side but sure.
Just saying the very complaints you have about powder making dumb decisions if you look at it in a larger scale Vi just makes even bigger dumb decisions, the whole reason everything happened in the first 3 episodes is because vi decided to go try to steal stuff in Piltover, yeah it appeared she was gonna end up getting them out of trouble before powders bomb went off but Vi dug the hole they were in, in the first place. The only difference is Vi's decisions didn't directly kill Claggor and Milo, Powder's did.

@@everybodylovesrae_ I disagree, Vi set everything in motion by disobeying Vander which required him to weaken his position which created an opportunity for Silco's gang to reach for power and then she just waltzed in to free Vander like they are just leaving him there unguarded lol. If Vi hadn't made like 90 mistakes what Powder did wouldn't have ever happened, also Powder is like 10 and Vi is like 14 one of them should have slightly better judgement than the other just based on age.
@@deardeer5215 Yeah, and above and beyond, Vander has that whole speech where he tells Vi that she's the one that's the leader; that things are on her if they go pear-shaped. Vi is ultimately at fault for Powder's mistakes.

@@deardeer5215 There was plenty of blame to go around. Which I think is kind of the point; everything that happens is a result of multiple characters making bad decisions.
Not just Powder and Vi. Vander bears blame as well, for how he raised the two girls ("you're the one always telling us we have to earn our place in this world" said Vi in episode 1). And obviously Silco as the "bad guy" has some part in what happened. So did the Council of Piltover through their oppression - and Milo in his disparaging comments against Powder.
The whole thing was basically a powderkeg (pun not intended), and all it needed was a spark of a bad choice to go horribly wrong, in one way or another.

I subscribed to your channel to see your reactions to this series and like everyone who made it to the third episode, they have the same face, others break but that's understandable, everything in Arcane has rhyme, two cities and two sisters.
we see two people who protect their people and maintain order in their respective places, Vander and Grayson, both fallen on the same night. Two young students come together in the discovery of something brilliant and two sisters are separated in tragedy and darkness. Jace and Victor associate a scene before Vander and Silco reveal that in the past they were both very close, is it an omen? Piltober now embraces the Hextec era and Sawn will fall into the Shimmer era. I hope you continue to relate some of these issues and the plans also matter as those of the Prologue, and the characters that appear there, a brief spoiler is that nothing that we assume would happen will happen as we expect but rather that they happen a little different.

It's intriguing how the response to Violet and Vander acting aggressively is to approve of it, whereas the response to Marcus being aggressive is to disapprove.
As it turns out, Marcus has a lot to disapprove of, but we didn't know that at the time. It's amazing what framing can do to first impressions.
I mean, Vander and Vi are generally nice people, and Marcus hasn't had a single nice line of dialogue.

Also, Vi is fucked up not less then Powder. She was trying robb in Piltover. Creat problems for Vander. Vander didn't hit her. Because of Vi Vander must go to prison. Because of Vi both kids was in trap (she was on luck to shut doors). I don't saw Vander blame her much and hit her. VI is normal only because Vander is better parent than Vi is sibling.
