Obviously not there and do not know what they tried... But We've always dug around the tracks of a tracked machine in mud to help break the suction... before pulling it out... It does wonders... Believe it or not mud has an amazing amount of suction...
drag tree or mat in front of the tracks- need 2 big chains bout 5 ft long with hook on each end- put hook of chain over each side of same pad on each track-twist chain until tight then clevis a cable off each track over log to middle of dozer blade pushed in the ground-take stuck trackhoe bucket an start pushing tree under tracks and drive it out-tree will keep it up and pick up each side and spin each track backwards to save chains when on top of tree or mat. its crazy they didn't dip water and mud with other hoe to keep motor alive.i recovered linkbelt 330 last week as bad with its own power pulling off the middle of d65 komatsu blade just had to drag dozer out when i was out. this works good and i hate that i have had alot of practice. not a know it all just know what works -hope it helps
Looks like some rocks are needed to bone things up a bit. Dry concrete also stiffens things up. Its almost time, though to build a coffer dam and pump out the water. Either that or get the big machine to dig around the little machine and bury it right there.
Surely a ramp formed between the machine and the dozer is needed initially, and stronger chains or wire ropes. Is there a video showing the actual recovery which is essential?
Hmm ! never experienced that as extreme, as that, but i´ve been pretty close. Guess they should have started right away to dig some dirt away from the front so the machine wouldnt have to come up at such a steep angle. But when it´s mud you have to be there to know ! just my guess, dig a path out of it !
in april 2012 i spent time on a offroad meeting with have dry mud. a jeep had stuck in it so hard that not even a 25to wheel loader could have pulled it out from dry soilunder its tyres!!you`re right. the only method is to dig and reduce the suctionbut nearly all of those guys are to lazy for doing this, prefering to tore winh ropes and filling mud into cat engines
@dragata1 you have obviously never worked in a bog before, when you do that you end up pushing your counterweight and engine area into the mud more thus making the situation ten times as worse.
Guys near us actually had to dig around one and drain the water out of the swamp by digging a drain trench. Not always enough of a grade around to drain a large hole though. Took all day
While the dozer was pulling it, could the other excavator not push from behind on the counter weight as it seem to be within distance to do so..............
word. spoken like some who operates equipment and doesn't just sit in the machine and pull levers! I know I've been places like that! I do a lot of ditch reconstruction and in the spring time I amaze even myself with the places i find the fat ass of my 345C sitting lol
I am a operator...... I have spent hours getting myself out without help...... I also know to keep a eye on my ground on sitting on and if it sinking to move over or something just dont keep sinking and yes i know its a job thats got to be done but u dont have to be a smart ass not to keep from tearing up your equipment
Im not an expert but I would have dug a sump next to and a bit deeper than the one its stuck in, so that the liquid mud could flow out of one sumpinto the next. All you experts out there might be able to tell me if Im talking bollocks
Wow! Hard to watch these newbies...1. dig out in front of tracks first with other hoe 2. Remove debris and slop from 90 degrees of stuck hoe working away from than closer to hoe so mud and water will flow away from machine 3. Use dozer and winch machine out! Result of operator not knowing when to call for help and causing unnecessary machine damage.
no kidding,,i espectially like in these situation how everybody on site is all of a sudden an expert, 3 guys waving there arms yelling, then of course you got the guy who just has to text someone
FYI - hoes are designed to pull themselves out. All it needs is something to grab with the bucket, like a dozer blade or another bucket. That way it can lift and pull at the same time without messing up the ground all around itself..
shouldn't have got in this spot to begin with, but after you are stuck the best thing is to not compound the problem. i would have shut it down and hired a heavy recovery outfit to get it out.
I can see why the motor gave out. I wouldn't be running that thing with the motor that far in the mud. Shut her down and dig around it for a while and then hook it up and try to pull it out. At least get a pump going
@johanj81 dig some dirt away from the front so the machine wouldnt have to come up at such a steep angle. That's what I was going to say, but since you already did.......
@@timz7171 Wow, this is a first for me, I think: A comment over a decade old seeing some action. hehe They say the ol' hoe is still stuck and trying to wallow out sideways.
That's when you need a winch so you can just drag it out with as much force as you need. Drag it out and all the mud around it if need be. Or a big ass excavator that could just scoop it up and remove it.
best idea here is have big backhoe behind the other backhoe while the dozer is pulling the backhoe out.... it better to have another help from behind and give it a shove ...... it wont do any damage at all.... just an advice for next time

I do believe you! Mud has a giant amount of suction.
So, Is there a sequel. How does it turn out?
Hmm ! never experienced that as extreme, as that, but i´ve been pretty close. Guess they should have started right away to dig some dirt away from the front so the machine wouldnt have to come up at such a steep angle.

You need drastic ideas to save it. water bomber and a chinook. loosen the mud, then lift is out and take it straight to the junk yard?

get out before it gets that bad stupid

P
It looks like a dinosaur dying.
Is it economical to rebuild the engine? Or find a replacement engine?
Dig around the machine to break the suction. Then pull.
While the dozer was pulling it, could the other excavator not push from behind on the counter weight as it seem to be within distance to do so..............

Did it ever get unstuck?
dirty job but some bodys got to do it .just bad luck.hope the machine was ok after that
COME ON MAN!!!! You gotta post the rest of it.I know they didn't just leave it in the hole, blown motor or not. Where was this anyway?
So did they get it out? Or did they burn it up and just say fuck it and let it sink out of sight?
Well, did they ever get it out?
I am a operator...... I have spent hours getting myself out without help...... I also know to keep a eye on my ground on sitting on and if it sinking to move over or something just dont keep sinking and yes i know its a job thats got to be done but u dont have to be a smart ass not to keep from tearing up your equipment
That is wild. I would really like to know how they got it out. I image it HAD to be removed. You cant just leave something like that there.
Im not an expert but I would have dug a sump next to and a bit deeper than the one its stuck in, so that the liquid mud could flow out of one sumpinto the next. All you experts out there might be able to tell me if Im talking bollocks
labyonnette you would just get more water as it flows to the path of least resistance
Where is the next video of them finally getting it out. They must have got it out eventually.
They're still working on it
These guys effing around. Every move when you're stuck has to count
there is no happy end ?

so true was thinking the same thing myself very painfull to watch
no kidding,,i espectially like in these situation how everybody on site is all of a sudden an expert, 3 guys waving there arms yelling, then of course you got the guy who just has to text someone

They are Not designed to be in that much mud
Oh, it looks a bit wet here but i think i will be ok?
That's what the buckets for in front of that machine dig it out
You don't know much by your comment. When you can't pull on solid ground, you won't go anywhere.
shouldn't have got in this spot to begin with, but after you are stuck the best thing is to not compound the problem. i would have shut it down and hired a heavy recovery outfit to get it out.

My, my, my, they do get ‘emselves in a pickle, don’t they?
I think the pickle has entered them
I can see why the motor gave out. I wouldn't be running that thing with the motor that far in the mud. Shut her down and dig around it for a while and then hook it up and try to pull it out. At least get a pump going
Where the hell is this surprised anyone would put that equipment any where near that slop.
@johanj81 dig some dirt away from the front so the machine wouldnt have to come up at such a steep angle.
That's what I was going to say, but since you already did.......
bingo move the second excavator in front and dig the front end out and ramp it up.
@@timz7171 Wow, this is a first for me, I think: A comment over a decade old seeing some action. hehe
They say the ol' hoe is still stuck and trying to wallow out sideways.
did ye eva get the machine out
amatuers theres drivers and and operators a big difference!!!!
Can we have an update please!
Ideas en 5 minutos
Think, how reliable these mashines are. Engine is still running, think what,if not!
Ran your CAT out drop blade and spin your tracks down to anchor cat. The Hyster winch has more pull
..
That's when you need a winch so you can just drag it out with as much force as you need. Drag it out and all the mud around it if need be. Or a big ass excavator that could just scoop it up and remove it.
Wonder if they tried pulling the dozer with the (free) excavator while it was pulling the stuck excavator? (I haven't read all of the thread)
Finally, it was decided to put the backhoe in its muddy grave.
how...?
Stuck is an understatement...
What the suck that big boom at the right side othe screen was doing???? It could have pushed from behind in tandem wit caterpillar in front.
Off right of way, 2 checks boys

Stick a inflatable under it. A pump it up!!. Yeh I not every can think like me.
u get it under it.
Its needs a spade inflatable. using the same machine. ramp it self out.
IF I was operating that machine in that situation, I would have had it sunk out of sight in no time.
Don't play around in a swamp..Just saying
Release the suction
Mom dont waitme awake tonight!! :)
push trees under tracks and push down to break suction
In the morning, when the land was lost, the people lost their lives
Thiếu nữ miền tây is that some sort of cryptic complaint about the environment?
Wtf?
There was no bottom, couldn't push out of it.
Matt’s. Anyone. Matt’s. !!!???
A Chinook Helicopter would pull this right out.
IQ is worrying. Such a big bulldozer has not been pulled out. Steel cable traction excavator, excavator's own bucket buckle on the ground
This is what happened to the dinosaurs
Damn that would suck.
Thương lắm luôn

Muy interesante yinstructibo

Yep
Rookies, people always say I am an operator.. Bullshit
Fired!

I bet you lost money on this one. Looks like you may have reated you equipment. And there is way you can make money hung in the mud.
