Every Christian is given at least one spiritual gift to uplift the body of believers. Some do miracles, some teach, some encourage, some impart knowledge or wisdom. Miracle-working is not one of Pastor Jack's spiritual gifts (not that I know of), although any of us can pray to God for miracles and for Him to move in mighty ways. Everything we do comes from God, we can't claim to be great because of what we can do. The fact is, we are *ALL* weak and troubled. The difference is in whether we realise it, and go to the One who *CAN* help us. The popular saying "God helps those who help themselves" is a lie; it's actually "God helps those who admit they can't help themselves". I'm praying that you will come to saving faith in Jesus, first off so you can have eternal life too, and also then perhaps you will understand as the other Christians here understand, why Pastor Jack is beloved among believers - not because of anything he does of his own power that will make him "great", but because He is a born-again child of God who has given himself over in obedience to service for Him, and uses his gift of teaching and wisdom to strengthen the body of believers and speak to unbelievers such as yourself. God promised if you genuinely seek Him, He will be found by you ("ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and the door will be opened to you").
My brother tried to fight his addictions. I didn't have a relationship with my brother before I was saved. After God called led me to his son Yeshua I moved into an apartment and discovered my brother was residing next door to me. I was on fire when I saw my brother and could not help but share my life with Christ. My brother saw the change in me immediately he saw the joy. He tried and try to give up his alcohol addiction and his homosexuality. After a year of his struggling the Lord took him instantaneously. He fell to his death while shopping at stater Brothers. Paramedics could not revive him after a heart attack. Pastor Jack I needed to hear this that God took him home because he loved him. My brother had prayed with me many times and I explained the gospel to him many times he understood it. I've had a close relationship with my lord for 25 years now and it hasn't always been easy. I wouldn't change anything. Hallelujah

Oh Pastor, the same thing happened to my brother...he and I had alcoholic parents. PATRICK STARTED drinking at 14....fought it all his life. He would stop for a few weeks and then he would fall again...parents died at a young age because of alcoholism....so did Patrick! He was 57....and had sirosis of the liver! He loved the Lord! I truly believe God took him home to get him out of his pain. I praise God all the time and thank Him for my brother and for taking him home! Thank you Pastor Jack for your love of God and preaching and teaching God's word!

Dear Pastor Jack, I watched this sermon earlier today & have continued to think on what you’ve said from The Word of God about suicide. This was a very powerful message. I have never heard this instruction from the pulpit in my 60 years of life. I have struggled with recurrent Major Depression since I was a young woman. I was told by someone, (I don’t recall who) that Suicide was the unforgivable Sin. I know that is not true. Your preaching today has caused me to think more deeply about this transgression of suicide. Do I Trust & Obey? I certainly do not want to grieve the Holy Spirit. Do I trust that God will catch me when I fall into despair? Disbelief in The Father/Son/Holy Spirit Is The One Unforgivable Sin. I must trust in Him!!! There is no other way. Sometimes, I just have to rely on Him to make it one more day. Many times throughout my life I have had suicidal ideations, but by the grace of God, have not acted on it. I know that my body does not belong to me, but I have been bought with a price from My Lord Jesus Christ. I have no right to take my life, nor any other for that matter. Your teaching about The Holy Spirit today was so clarifying! You see, when I’ve passed through the valley of the shadow of death, when my heart grieved tremendously over the death of my earthly father first & now my precious mother’s death, The Triune God has sent me The Comforter who is The Holy Spirit. He does not ever leave me alone in my grief. I recognize His Presence & Promise now. Thankfully, HE is present to get me through my grief, sadness & depressive episodes. I repented. I received Christ Jesus’ forgiveness of my sins. My life is is The hands of The Father. And now I recognize just how Blessed i am; that HE has sent to me The Holy Spirit. I look forward to to your next preaching and teaching Pastor Jack. I love how you go verse by verse through The Bible. God has given you such a gift in sharing great understanding of His Word! I know how you feel.I'm so deeply grieved and depression is heavy upon me.I lost my son last month.I'm ok while I'm working..Then I come home to this house without him.I prayed so hard for him to be healed.He died of Covid Pneumonia and kidney failure.I feel so quilty.I work in a Nursing home and had the shots.He didnt.He had alot of medical issues.I feel its my fault.I brought it home.Why couldn't it have been me😟😢

In Christ, you have power and authority over evil spirits. Because of His spilled blood, you can command this heavy spirit to leave you in Jesus’ Name. He has not given a spirit of heaviness but clothes you with a mantle of praise. Don’t let the enemy allow you to fixate on your years of failure and grieving but place your complete confidence in Him and rebuke that evil spirit of depression. Wow. The story of the guy & girl who struggled with alcohol addiction at 35-36mins in...He had the holy spirit and struggled with his alcoholism and God took him home prematurely to save him from himself. WOW. I too battle an addiction to alcohol and have been sober for a length of time. I have relapsed once and it feels absolutely terrible, both physically, emotionally, and mentally. I pray that it never gets to a point to where the Lord saves me from myself and leaves my family and friends in despair about where I am. I know the Lord knows my earthly struggle. What a provoking thought. Thank you for including that example Pastor Jack. I am praying that that is NOT what happens to me.. Lord, help me keep fighting this demon.
Pastor Jack. To choose to be God is suicide. But once t decided to try to choose my death date I thought only I'll wake up in Jesus arms. I lived and Jesus understood. I'm happy on earth now. God forgave me.
I was so sad and tortured with deep hurt I felt there was absolutely no hope of anything getting better. I had no strength to go on. Absolute devastating sorrow. I begged God to forgive me but felt I could not go on. That is what suicide is about. Not being selfish. That has nothing to do with suicide

Thank God , because I have addiction to sleeping pills and anxiety meds! I absolutely hate it so much , I ask God to help me!!! I’ve asked him to help me but benzos are almost impossible to get off of! They never told me they were physically addictive but I was younger and I didn’t know.

Pastor Jack you can also use the lightbulb. The power inside, the electrical current is the Father; the bulb is the solid form and reflects the same power but is the housing or solid form of the light and then the candensence or the reflecting light emitting from the bulb is the Holy Spirit. Oh Pastor, the same thing happened to my brother...he and I had alcoholic parents. PATRICK STARTED drinking at 14....fought it all his life. He would stop for a few weeks and then he would fall again...parents died at a young age because of alcoholism....so did Patrick! He was 57....and had sirosis of the liver! He loved the Lord! I truly believe God took him home to get him out of his pain. I praise God all the time and thank Him for my brother and for taking him home! Thank you Pastor Jack for your love of God and preaching and teaching God's word!

I watched this sermon earlier today & have continued to think on what you’ve said from The Word of God about suicide.
This was a very powerful message. I have never heard this instruction from the pulpit in my 60 years of life.
I have struggled with recurrent Major Depression since I was a young woman. I was told by someone, (I don’t recall who)
that Suicide was the unforgivable Sin. I know that is not true. Your preaching today has caused me to think more deeply about this transgression of suicide. Do I Trust & Obey?
I certainly do not want to grieve the Holy Spirit. Do I trust that God will catch me when I fall into despair?
Disbelief in The Father/Son/Holy Spirit Is The One Unforgivable Sin.
I must trust in Him!!!
There is no other way.
Sometimes, I just have to rely on Him to make it one more day.
Many times throughout my life I have had suicidal ideations, but by the grace of God, have not acted on it.
I know that my body does not belong to me, but
I have been bought with a price from My Lord Jesus Christ.
I have no right to take my life, nor any other for that matter.
Your teaching about The Holy Spirit today was so clarifying!
You see, when I’ve passed through the valley of the shadow of death, when my heart grieved tremendously over the death of my earthly father first & now my precious mother’s death, The Triune God has sent me The Comforter who is The Holy Spirit. He does not ever leave me alone in my grief. I recognize His Presence & Promise now. Thankfully, HE is present to get me through my grief, sadness & depressive episodes.
I repented. I received Christ Jesus’ forgiveness of my sins. My life is is The hands of The Father. And now I recognize just how Blessed i am; that HE has sent to me The Holy Spirit.
I look forward to to your next preaching and teaching Pastor Jack. I love how you go verse by verse through The Bible. God has given you such a gift in sharing great understanding of His Word! I know how you feel.I'm so deeply grieved and depression is heavy upon me.I lost my son last month.I'm ok while I'm working..Then I come home to this house without him.I prayed so hard for him to be healed.He died of Covid Pneumonia and kidney failure.I feel so quilty.I work in a Nursing home and had the shots.He didnt.He had alot of medical issues.I feel its my fault.I brought it home.Why couldn't it have been me😟😢

In Christ, you have power and authority over evil spirits. Because of His spilled blood, you can command this heavy spirit to leave you in Jesus’ Name. He has not given a spirit of heaviness but clothes you with a mantle of praise. Don’t let the enemy allow you to fixate on your years of failure and grieving but place your complete confidence in Him and rebuke that evil spirit of depression. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His joy. see Isaiah 61 and 1 John 3:8. Also Matthew 28, at the end Jesus is proclaiming His authority. He loves you dear sister. Wow. The story of the guy & girl who struggled with alcohol addiction at 35-36mins in...He had the holy spirit and struggled with his alcoholism and God took him home prematurely to save him from himself. WOW. I too battle an addiction to alcohol and have been sober for a length of time. I have relapsed once and it feels absolutely terrible, both physically, emotionally, and mentally. I pray that it never gets to a point to where the Lord saves me from myself and leaves my family and friends in despair about where I am. I know the Lord knows my earthly struggle. What a provoking thought. Thank you for including that example Pastor Jack. I am praying that that is NOT what happens to me.. Lord, help me keep fighting this demon.
Pastor Jack. To choose to be God is suicide. But once t decided to try to choose my death date I thought only I'll wake up in Jesus arms. I lived and Jesus understood. I'm happy on earth now. God forgave me.

People with no understanding believe that it is an issue of selfishness. I used to. I know better now.

I feel like this world has nothing left for me. All my neighbors attacking me. The church too busy. I cry literally cry to Jesus. I know I am sinning with this depression. I am so very lonely just seeing a home nurse once a week for 15 min
Thank God , because I have addiction to sleeping pills and anxiety meds! I absolutely hate it so much , I ask God to help me!!! I’ve asked him to help me but benzos are almost impossible to get off of! They never told me they were physically addictive but I was younger and I didn’t know.
I like the analogy where I am me... but I'm also a daughter, an aunt and a sister.

Pastor Jack you can also use the lightbulb. The power inside, the electrical current is the Father; the bulb is the solid form and reflects the same power but is the housing or solid form of the light and then the candensence or the reflecting light emitting from the bulb is the Holy Spirit.
