    Driver side rotor was trashed and needed replacement. Also, always bleed brakes any time you open up the line like that.

    You can turn the wheel to help you get to the back side, it makes it so much easier.

    Thanks good video man I have to do a friend of my wife's Town & Country the only problem I'm gonna have is one of the lug nuts is stripped badly. So I guess I'll start with just seeing if I can get the damn wheel off.

    Your calipers were not damage. Always removed the brake cap to release the airlock which prevents the calipers from reseating themselves.

    Hi great video what type of drill was that or can I use any drill with size 19mm socket?

    • @chuythemobilemechanic
      @chuythemobilemechanic  2 года назад

      It was a Milwaukee drill . To take the tire off you need something with alot of power. You don’t necessarily need a drill. Just get you a breaker bar and brake the tension on all the lugnuts then you can lift up the van and proceed to take off the lugnuts

      @@chuythemobilemechanic I have strong drill but not sure if it has impact settings so that might be a little dangerous right ? Or is there a way around that ?

      @@chuythemobilemechanic very important the old esim has a loose part that moved back and forth the new one didn’t do this. Is it suppose to do that 🙃

      @@chuythemobilemechanic yes so the old one had something inside that moved back and forth when you shack it but didn’t notice the new one doing that.

    That caliper boot was torn bruh! It was leaking!
    Is it good now? I made the same mistake, what’s that you ask?
    Don’t buy a Chrysler!

    You said you won't have to bleed it, but you do have to bleed it.

    • @chuythemobilemechanic
      @chuythemobilemechanic  2 года назад +1

      Yes i had to bleed it. Sorry I didn’t record that part. I do have another video where I replaced the caliper and bleed it. I’ll see if i can add the link. I’m not too good on the technology thing I’m just a mechanic

    Crystler caliper pistons don’t just push in they twist as well. There was nothing wrong with the caliper it just needed the right to to compress the caliper piston. They twist an push at the same timw

    • @TheNine6

      I believe that it just the rears, front push I think

      No they don’t the front calipers push in the rear calipers you need to twist in…

    That first rotor is in very bad condition that’s no good for the people in that truck and the blend you need to do good . No like that

    • @chuythemobilemechanic
      @chuythemobilemechanic  2 года назад

      I told they needed rotors. But they didn’t have any money for it . I was only doing a brake job for $95 dollars that includes parts and labor. Once i took it off I noticed they needed rotors and calipers but they didn’t have money so i was at least able to get the caliper. I told them rotors would be an extra $85 and they said no.
      I can’t force my clients to pay more. Yes I told them it was very unsafe. They didn’t care.I’m just a mobile mechanic. I did bleed them but my phone went dead so I couldn’t record that part.
      I do have other videos that show how to bleed calipers. Just subscribe to my channel.

      I would walk away if that's the case. If the brakes fail and someone gets injured they're going to sue you.

      You obviously didn’t listen to the video😂. It’s not my van. I told my customer they needed to replace the rotor. They couldn’t afford another $85 dollars so I had to put the same one back on. Thanks for watching

      I did. I didn’t record it on this video though.
      I do have a video on how to bleed calipers though. Sorry I’m just a mechanic. I’m not a good cameraman. I can barely edit videos lol.
