Man, I love this series of real-life data analyst jobs. Can you do a data analyst setup? Start from installing the needed software, some wisdom you had along the way on certain software you loved, and things that are important from the data analyst standpoint.
This was awesome. I just finished Chuck Severence's Python For Everybody course and all of the JSON parsing, get requests, and API usage is all pretty fresh in my brain. Super cool to see it applied in a real life example! Great vid!
I really enjoy the length of your videos because it shows your thought process, second guessing, and natural progression of your solution. Thanks for sharing.
Hey , Thank you for the videos. I am trying to switch my career to data analysis and was pretty confused about the tasks that I would do and the tools necessary for the job. Your videos are really helpful in understanding the behind-the-scenes of being a data analyst, and how a data analyst should think and work, most videos out there are not as technical as yours. Also, if you could upload a video on the different types of Data analysis projects you have done and how you did it that would be really great. Anyways enjoying you`re content, do upload more. Thanks
Thanks so much for sharing this wow! I had absolutely no knowledge of data/analytics or coding at all prior to taking a course this semester called biz analytics. Now, Im starting to reconsider my career goals as I'm getting very interested in this field!
It’s incredibly interesting! I also released videos in R if you’re interested. If you get started while in college youll have a big head start in people like me.
man, you're doing remarkable great videos, this one is super duper dud, just keep it up, and I have a small suggestion if it won't bother you of course, if you can in the future create a discord group where we can all meet as Data Analysts, lead by you, helping each other as one community. anyway, thanks a lot for the valuable videos.... keep going buddy....... peace.
Keep these coming! Love everything about this channel so far. question: I’m fresh af in the data analyst world. What’s the best way to get hold of a real life business problem for me to practice my data analyst skills? Should i be going on fiverr and offering free data analyses / come up with my own business problem and get free public data and post on github? What should i do to get experience (or what would you do that’s easy to get a hold of)? P.S. i recommend enlarging the view here and there sometimes Exceptional work! Thank you
I have to be honest. after watching your last video I started to think that I should become one. I does a very similar job but with Excel only and though this would be out of my reach but now I think not only that I can do it but that this is the right path for me. Thank you.
I love this, but can you do other crash courses on stuff like SQL and such? Also, I'd love to watch other 'day in the life' videos with fun 'work along' projects, similar to the ones you already did, I think a combination of these two types of videos would be most useful. Either way, thank you, all this helps out a lot!
Great work Man, you could have entered the str() function into the for loop [For ex. str(i[0])] itself rather than going back and changing your old-vairable's data type without understanding it's impact. Nonetheless, it was fun to learn how to do Geospatial Analysis From you Kudos
Great video, I'd like to get into Python but I can't find any project-oriented resources to help me visualize what coding is useful for. Your channel helps a lot with that. You may have covered this in a previous video, but I found your channel yesterday and this is only the second video I watch. Did you learn all of these skills by yourself, or through online resources / college?
Hey Quentin thank you so much for the view :). I learned everything I know from the internet yes! I graduated with a degree in Chemistry that didn't prepare me to do any of the work I'm doing now. I want to help people coming after me through my courses on my RUclips channel like the Python course and the Tableau course I posted
Awesome videos, you have some very insightful content. I can't help to wonder though, why do you perform multiple API calls for the same square or rectangle? Can't you just perform one call for the whole area (with presumable much bigger circle) and then just filter out the unwanted data in pandas, based on the coordinates?
@@ShashankData actually am facing problem in which columns I have to target for analysis and which one i have to drop down to get a perfect readable data from raw_data.
Being a data Scientist ideally requires a strong understanding of computer science, math, and domain expertise. Data Analysts like myself can usually get away with weaker math skills though.
Hey Ken! I actually am building out a database of data sources for my subscribers at this link. Check the bottom of the page. bit.ly/shashankdatascience
Hey David! About 3-6 months of consistent practice. It is totally worth it especially with a language like Python which lets you do so much very easily. Don't worry if it takes you longer though, we all take our own time on the path but what matters is that you're moving forward.
@@ShashankData What you teach is very interesting to me because I come from an Analytics/Marketing background & primarily picked up Django/Python for Web Dev. However, knowing how much work goes into making Data digestible, your content makes seem the field of data science/analysis immeasurably more interesting!
I really like the LG 35” I am using. It’s 1440p which I recommend in an ultra wide for development purposes as you’ll be reading a lot of text. I got mine at a $100 discount from Costco

@@ShashankData wuhuu that would be AWSOME !
I think for people who knows Python and didn't work yet as analysts, these series are amazing. Explanations are excellent. Nice job!
Thank you so much Mart! I'll keep at it.
You are not the only one who thinks that such type of videos are useful, I do as well, keep going
Thank you so much @Андрей Блинко! I will keep making them.

Hi Shashank, another great explanation.
I've studied data analysis on RUclips and your real-life projects are the best ones!
Finally, this is what I really wanted to know about what data analyst do in action.
Anytime Conorjames! I have a lot more videos coming out to show y'all what else a Data Analyst does on a daily basis.
Incredible video, just walking through with you really makes it easy to understand.
I'm so glad it's helpful! Comments like your's inspire me to keep at it.

This is the type of "day in the life" videos that I want, not some random chick with her moka latté and her 30min of meditation lmao

It sounds simple, but just apply endlessly. I sent in about 90 applications before I landed at my current company.
