- What a crazy week! I sure am glad to be home. Finally settled in and ready to get back to work.
This video is a compilation of some snippets I captured over my 5 days in Las Vegas for the 2023 SEMA Show.
I got a invitation from Autoline Pro to help work the booth during the show and I had a blast!
There was so much to see, I had nowhere near enough time to get through it all, especially while working at the booth full time, but we got to meet some amazing people, see some new tools, and get a couple shots of the place.
It was a pleasure to meet everyone that came by the booth.
Its not much, but I hope you enjoy a glimpse of my perspective during the madness they call SEMA.

Awesome little smoke machines! I’ve seen use them on RUclips and so much troubleshooting can be done by the correct use of them. Engines can have an incredible number of vacuum lines, connectors, clamps and nipples. Growing up in Los Angeles during the days of heavy air pollution and ozone, rubber parts would harden and crack. My 1982 Honda Accord was an awesome car and I never had any troubles, but I sold most of my cars after 5 or 6 years so I never had to deal with all of those lines disintegrating from their ozone exposure.
theyre such a great tool! Glad I can have a strong relationship with these guys, I reached out to them when I first started my channel. Bought one of their products off amazon to diagnose a vacuum leak on my E46.
Yeah these 20+ year old cars are really starting to fail due to all the aging plastics and rubber
Alec I'm really happy that you got to experience Sema. Funny how you mentioned Jackery because this winter I'm converting my e46 Xi wagon over to a solo camping wagon. I am so happy things are starting to pick up for you and your heading in the right direction. I knew when I saw your channel for the 1st time way back when that you were going to be a success! Glad you went to Sema. The car industry has really exploded in popularity. Awesome opportunities for content and connections. E46 platform is ripe with 3 generation owners wanting to learn. Did you video your fishing trip?

@@DayOffDIY Thr last part of October it got broke. Tomm I get a temp cast so I can go back to work. I’m excited about it.

How’d you like the model y? We love ours. People ask me “how can you be a car guy and like EV’s?” I say, how can you be a car guy and not? Instant torque all day every day. Tons of cool tech. Fun to drive. Awesome daily.

Ya know, I’m in your boat when it comes to the Tesla, I’m all about it! The torque is incredible. When I can afford some newer cars I will no doubt pick one up.

@@DayOffDIY I would have no idea, but it seems that wall calendars are pretty cheap or something that people expect for free.
Really enjoy the vlog type videos! Slightly unrelated.. but my wife and I just travelled through the USA (we are from New Zealand), and for all the shit it gets, we thought Vegas was an absolute blast and had a ton of fun. What hotel were you staying in? We wound up at the Excalibur and thought it was pretty reasonable for the price, but I do wish I had splashed out on something a bit more fancy and closer to the strip.
Awesome! Glad to hear you had a good time. It’s a pretty awesome place, the culinary scene is next level. Really good restaurants, just spendy.
I stayed at treasure island on the strip, never stayed on the strip like that before, so not sure where it ranks in terms of quality. I’d like to go back just to explore the food, I don’t have much for restaurants where I live and I’m a big foodie.

@@DayOffDIY Hell yeah! The food was definitely good, though we were pretty lazy and went to Popeyes and Raising Canes a lot since we don't have them back home lol. Will definitely be going back. We also visited CA and stayed in Santa Monica, and on our way back to NZ from Europe, we even went back because we loved California so much. Super jealous.
If you get a chance, N.Z is a nice place to visit, just very expensive lol.
I’d love to come visit. Always wanted to! Next time you’re out in CA you let me know! I used to live in SoCal in orange county, now I’m up at the tippy top just below the Oregon border
@@DayOffDIY Definitely! We took a few roadies while we were there, went to San Diego etc. but never had a chance to go up the top of CA. I'll for sure let you know, it'll just be a matter of 'when' not 'if'!
I remember being in Las Vegas when I was 16.. with my parents. Fond memories of walking down the street and prostitutes giving me their business cards. Haha, I miss the 90s..
I went back in 2011 when I was 18 and they were still doing that 😂

Lololol I remember the same thing! Growing up me and my brothers had a gallon ziplock bag filled with all of the old hooker cards 😂😂😂
There are no cards on the strip anymore, that era is over sadly lol
