I have three nieces that have done gymnastics for years. They are adults now and no longer do it. They say that everyone FEARS the balance beam. Now, I have to say doing those tricks/moves on the beam are very impressive. But while they were still into it, I challenged them to come work with me framing a house and walking a 2 X12 on edge 20 feet up with a toolbelt on, and they all declined. The balance beam is 4 inches wide and the 2 x is only 1 1/2 inches. Plus the height bothers a lot of people. So, Drew maybe you should find a framing crew and give that a try.
Awesome Drew, Gracie's advice was solid. Since I am a gymnast I know how it feels but through all that training and hardwork I got it!

"Guys do not do a leap for obvious reasons"...Heath Thorpe (Australian National Champ for Men's Artistic Gymnastics) would DISOWN her for saying that...men CAN do leaps!!
They don’t typically compete leaps* you technically are allowed to compete them in men’s gymnastics but judges don’t recognize them as a skill. If the leap has deductions, they just take tenths off it’s not even worth doing them
