Thank you for such a beautiful and timely reflection on Isaiah. I would have never made the connection to the present health crises in the world. You caused me to think more deeply about these two verses. I pray that God’s people do not forget this experience, do not allow themselves to grow from it. I pray that the Holy Spirit lights a fire of conviction and conversion within each of us to be authentically Christian.
As a UK citizen I regret to admit I don't understand the language. I know, of course, the prophet Isaiah is reflected upon by the Taizé Brother Kombo. It's enough to listen to the sublime sonorous tones of the French language. If angels in Heaven speak - surely, they speak French?
