  • This video is the first in a series called ‘Is anyone listening?’: a tribute to the Icelandic culture of superstition and the belief in elves and ghosts that has through centuries sparked artistic creativity.
Höfdi is one of the most famous houses in Reykjavik mostly because of an event that took place in 1986 when presidents Gorbachev and Reagan had a meeting there which marked the end of the Cold War. Many people have felt like there is something weird going on in this house... doors opening and closing, sounds of footsteps coming from the second floor and some believe that there is a ghost.

There is something about your music that makes me feel it's pushing right inside me. Not through my ears but through my chest. It's everything about it. Not just the notes or the words. When it's over I just feel I love everything.

Listened to your music upon finding it on my trip to Iceland in 2016, the sound of it makes me think of the beautiful wild landscapes, the ice, the moss, stone, fog, snow and sun. Utterly ethereal and organic 💙

....This song. this reminds me Berlin In March 2020. This concert in UDK.
this last song. this rhythm made us get up and dance. damn it was rock. the song of the concert is in my opinion. it was magic and I don't regret having made 1200 kilometers for that. because this moment was priceless.
ps: I also liked all the other titles but this moment will remain engraved in my heart.

Man. I so feel it when reading your comment. I was there with you 😉. I don't know what happened at that moment. I defined it into a "group therapy". Half of the public which remained sat for all the concert and suddenly some people were in need to get up. I have one picture of someone which just stood like he was praying or something on that song! It was crazy!!!
One of the most moving concert moment I've felt too. And Ásgeir did something similar in London in 2014 in a church...
      Ásgeir got it... period! 😀

This live version of Vaðandi þurrt is sooooo good! The voice of the old man at the beginning makes it even more otherworldly!! Just brilliant!
Makes me vibrate from head to toe and I simply can't listen to it at a low volume for some reason.
Thank you guys, this is the kind of hearted music we need in these strange times of Covid.

I woke up from a dream this morning with this song included in my dream and it continued playing in my head while I was awake for a short while. I couldn't place it at first but now I know it was this song. It's a real masterpiece. Thank You for sharing Your fantastic music and blessed voice with us all.
    Best regards from Sweden.

I loved you so much at your concert in Stockholm. Could not stop crying.
I will try to formulate what I like so much about your music, and these are only my own impressions - first, how you find a harmony in breaking a harmony, and second, how you combine energy and masculinity with extreme tenderness and vulnerability

    For those who are curious about the poem at the beginning;
    Höfði í Reykjavík.
Margir franskir fiskimenn fórust hér við landið.
    Stórveldi reisti steingjarnt hús,
    og styrkti tryggðabandið.
    Hið breiða hús við Borgartún
    Bretar keyptu næstir.
Oft var reimt sem aldrei fyrr,
    enda brostu fæstir.
    Höfði ennþá heldur reisn,
    þar heyra má um nætur,
    stirða ganga út og inn,
    ósýnilega fætur.
This is actually dictated by myself, XD so if anyone finds my mistake, let me know!

Fantastic song! Even though it's an upbeat song, the video is hauntingly wonderful with the location and the concept behind the series. Love the idea of playing to invisible audiences. They must have enjoyed the performance :P
