The leadership nerf that Bretonnian infantry took to pay for the Grail Knight buffs was always going to come back to bite the faction. People at the time told me it wasn't going to be an issue because the Grail unit buffs were so awesome but then, sure enough, Grail units first got capped in MP, then got hit with the nerfbat, leaving -5 ld for infantry (-6 for polemen) as the actual net result of the rework. Having their ld restored to its previous levels wouldn't make Bret infantry world beaters, but it would put the faction in a much better place than it is now.
A unit that should NOT be on the roster for Daemons or for Chaos, imo. Too versatile, too cost effective, too well packaged for a heavily H2H army and army list.
Absolutely. They are competent skirmisk cav that add range to a roster which otherwise really lacks range. And despite that skiish role, bwtween high charge bonus, bonus vs infantry, frenzy, and high base WS they legitimately hit like shock cav on a clean charge.
ye louen just threw that in the end but that men at arms tech was pretty wonderful to see. i think in the future a brettonia dlc that added mid tier infantry like that, and maybe some robin hood style units would do wonders.
That was almost a perfect comp and fight, geting rid of that archer for another grail relique since they are the same price and having your pegaseus closer to you and i think bretonia wins there, ror can be used to instead of the peasant mobs and upgrading one infantry for it.
they already have foot squires though, the only difference between them and dismounted knights is the lack of style I guess kislev fails to grab the people who wanted heavy infantry for empire and bretonnia
If he brings that RoR Skullcannon that build is deleted in a swift. 2 blunders by the Bretonian player: loosing the grail relique and not getting the support of at the end. How did he loose the caster, didn`t see it.
Khorne gors are so cool. Beastmen have really been the big winners in these monogod dlcs. Pestigors were also great, and Tzangors had a rough start with way too much armor but have settled well in their niche. I am honestly super excited to see what slaangors end up being as I've been thoroughly impressed so far.
Oh my goodness a khorne game without that stupid skullcanon finally. Very interesting strategy here for bretonia! I love how mediocre the foot squires' stats are even at rank 9 lol. Good game!
Even with such a unique build, it ultimately comes down to if Louen and his life mage can carry the game. For some reason Bretonnia specifically has been my most hated faction since 4th edition of tabletop.

Skarbrand upon seeing an army of well fed peasants with little mass to stop him. "Don't mind if I do."
Marauders horsemen are the unsung heroes of Khorne's rooster.
Such a versatile and cost effective unit.

@@lordpappanqui they arent on the Daemon roster... and why would marked horsemen not feature in chaos armies?

Khorne best unit being the skirmish ranged one... How fitting.
Those furies did a huge job in the start of that fight. They prevented the halberds from getting in to defend the Grail Reiquae from Skarbrand.

I'm still in the camp that they need to add dismounted knight units.
bretonia becoming an infantry faction is quite sad though

@@Vahkitauti Ah yes, the peasant unit with mid armor, no damage, no melee stats, and no blessing of the lady. Exactly like knights without the flavor

SKARBRAND and the slaughter guard? As a devout Khorne worshipper we eating good across the replay community 😂
The beastslayers of bastonne are also a great RoR that is hardly ever taken, but they are solid.
They're an autotake for my wife whenever she plays Bret.

Can you try to play a battle with rank 9 peasants its a hilarious idea :D
Maybe with repanse instead of louen and one pegasus knight more

Does anyone know if norca is still viable in multiplayer?
Norsca is fine, they have a solid if limited roster. Their playstyle is effective even if pretty linear and predictable.
It's nice to see Skarbrand spend bitkhorne on CA products.
Khornebeef
