Yeah because Killmonger challenged him. You are not allowed to have the power of the black Panther when fighting for the rite to be king. That’s the only other time he has taken it.

I think the heart shaped herb gives the user both the strength of the black panther and it heals illnesses, so Shuri was probably synthesizing the herb to heal the illness
Chadwick Boseman was supposed to play Black Panther again in this movie, but he died from colon cancer in real life. So marvel had to create a story about how he died in marvel. If he didn’t die in real life, T’Challa would still be alive
Shuri literally says that her brother knew he was sick but didn't say anything until he was dying. you don't need to take the herb multiple times to keep the powers, the only reason he had to take it twice was because he took something that canceled out the herb for the first fight against killmonger.
I don't think he died because he stopped taking the herb, but that since he was without the herb, he must have got some kind of "normal" disease that killed him.
He took the last one (that Nakia snuck out) in the mountains at MBakus village after being found by his people. However it’s explain-able that this herb only healed him from the brink of death…
@@sirslickrock I know that, I watched the movie too... Where in my comment does it imply that I think he didn't take the herb? Actually, the herb didn’t cause illness. They compared it to the real life aspect of Chadwick’s life, where he hid his illness from everyone. But when he finally revealed it, no one could help. It was too late. So in the movie, Shuri, trying to save her brother, but couldn’t because it was too late
Wait a minute …. In the original black panther … if a challenger wants to fight to become the black panther…. Tchalla had to drink something that would make him mortal. Was that drink part of the heart shaped herb as well?

@@TonyWilbourn22 There's also a theory as to why Tony Stark died when he did the snap. There wouldn't have been a plot hole if Disney just did what Chadwick asked and recast him. But Disney couldn't let a tragedy go to waste and had to capitalize on it.

Personally, I think that when t'challa was snap away the effect of the herbe wore off since he was technically dead, but when he got blipped back there was no herbe to help him fight his desease since killmonger burned them all.
I think whenever the situation is of life and death, you can take the heart shaped herb and herb actually heals you It is not necessary. In the first movie, Black Panther, T'Challa was only given the herb(other than the first time to gain the powers) to heal him when he was in the ice. So I don't think it is necessary to continue taking it, it is only required if the person needs to be healed from severe injuries
If the actor of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) Didn’t die of Colon Cancer in real life, they wouldn’t have to kill of his character. But still, Respects to the Legend. 😔
That's cool that they gave him an in-universe explanation as to how his character died when the actor passed away I think of colon cancer couple months after endgame
You need the herb to create the antidote too, so it's possible if you leave it in your system too long without taking the antidote and/or more it may lead to the illness.
No, because she tells Namor that Tchalla was suffering silently from something, and didn’t want to tell anyone. Why do that if the herb can fix him? Tchalla would’ve had her trying to synthesize it years prior since he returned from the snap/blip. Either way, I consider T’Challa’s death circumstances a pothole because he would’ve been trying to find a solution rather than just quietly dying away. In the real world, Chadwick was actually fighting the cancer, but hit the limit of what our technology can do it for him; in the MCU their technology far surpasses ours. Not to mention he could go traveling to find a cure, like to Bruce banner or Doctor Strange. Narratively it would’ve made more sense to make it a sudden tragic accident.
No, he simply died of cancer like illness like real life Chadwik Boseman (RIP). Shuri was trying to synthesis the herb that if he takes it a second time he would recover or she was simply trying to synthesis an antidote.

Meaning whatever form the Stones are in, they still give off that radiation.
And since Reality Stone straight up went through her, she was more than "close" to it.
The Stone's Power was definetly weaker in that state, but it was still highly radioactive.
That said, it would be enough to cause her a cancer.
I don't know if you were confirming what he said or not - I just wanted to clarify the point above.
His father lived a long life
The Black Panther and the King of Wakanda are two separate roles. His father would have survived the explosion if he were still taking the herb.
@@jelanibyrd5031 Yeah, but he wasn’t becoming sick from not taking it as this video is implying
The people who think of these theorys most of the time dont use their brains
Nah, Coogler said T'Challa died of an unknown illness and since they didn't have the HSH in time, he died.
And they didn't specifically mention what the illness was to not single out one disease.
So that it resonates wit everyone who watches.
So you felt it whether someone you love died from complications of Sickle Cell, MS, Cancer, Diabetes, Dementia, Parkinsons, etc.
😭😭💜Rest in Heavenly Power, Chadwick Bosemen. Also, great theory on a detail the movie should have expounded on in WF.
Wrong
Whatever was killing him had nothing to do with the Herb
He needed the herb to save him from whatever was killing him
He does not need to keep retaking them
That Is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!
Then why shuri was synthesizing the herb.
The effect of the herb was some limited amount of time, and that is why he took it again while fighting with m'baku.
@@bruno1 u both were correct, according to me the herb was needed when the panther gets any disease, so he needed the herb when he got the disease which can be cured by herb like increasing the immunity...so shuri tried to recreate it to save his brother
@@bruno1 he took it again because while fighting with kill monger he should give his powers, and again to get the powers he took it again
@@bruno1 because the herb has healing powers it can heal wounds instantly but doesn’t make you immune to diseases
He probably already had an illness before he even took the heart shaped herb and needed it because it could give him the strength to keep fighting it
The really sad thing is the actor of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) died of an illness, so they not only couldn’t save him in the movie because of the plot, but they couldn’t show T’Challa on-screen because he was dead IRL
RIP Chadwick Boseman 😭🫡😔🪦
King T'Challa & Queen Jazmine Reign Supreme. Wakanda Forever!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
you don't need to take the herb multiple times to keep the powers, the only reason he had to take it twice was because he took something that canceled out the herb for the first fight against killmonger.
He had taken the herb in MBakus village after the cliff fight.
He had taken the herb in MBakus village after the cliff fight.
@@sirslickrock I know that, I watched the movie too... Where in my comment does it imply that I think he didn't take the herb? I'm saying that since the rest of them was destroyed, I'm assuming that the effects of the herb probably slowly go away over time and he has to retake them, that he became "normal" after a while and some form of natural disease like cancer ended his life.
Rest In Peace Chadwick Boseman 💙 ❤️ 🤍 🕊️.
First Wakanda Forever video? I’ve been waiting for this ever since I saw the movie!
**Buzzer Noise** T’challa died of a disease while still having his powers. They needed more of the herb to make a cure.
Writers: oh snap, that makes sense. We should've thought of it.
True ….. true ….. true 👍🏻
Wait a minute …. In the original black panther … if a challenger wants to fight to become the black panther…. Tchalla had to drink something that would make him mortal.
Was that drink part of the heart shaped herb as well?
Nah
Yes.
It was a poison made from mixing the Heart Fruit with other herns, that worked in reverse to the plant itself.
Wakanda Forever❤❤
Thats an unhonourable reason to die. Rest in peace king CHADwick Boseman. 🕊️
M’Baku and the Jabari are the real deal 😂😂
No Shuri even mentions it in the movie. Tchala was sick with something. It wasn't because of the herb
The herb has some toxin in it. In order to maintain a healthy level to use its strength, the user must keep drinking it. So this makes sense
Love how they mcu adapted instead of just replacing the character.
Your super talented!
That asside, look how scared the river tribe guy got when mbaku started he's tribe sounds 🤣
So, basically Black Panther was a Drug Addict.
Lol the whole MCU is just his hallucinations
The heart shaped herb gave him his power but it was also a medicine in wakanda he had an illness and shirk was trying to make the heart shaped herb to cure it
"The prince will know have the strength of the black panther stripped away."
The new movie had me fucking bawling the entire time
Wrong.
He got his illness when he was dusted by Thanos.
He mutated when the gamma radiation from the stones sent him to The Soul Plain.
Then how come no one else got ill? Ik it's bc chadwick is dead, but if t'challa got ill, then you will think other marvel characters that got snaped will get ill.
@@TonyWilbourn22 the others didn't have the flower's in their system.
@@dadladtv8321 I guess that makes sense
@@TonyWilbourn22 There's also a theory as to why Tony Stark died when he did the snap.
When they did the Time Heist, the stones were technically from their own separate lines, so weren't an actual true set.
Each stone from each timeline would have been out of sync with the others, so they wouldn't have worked the same way that Thanos' set did, as his were all from the same timeline.
"Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh"
-M'Baku, circa 2023.
Mbaku and the jabari were one of the highlights
There wouldn't have been a plot hole if Disney just did what Chadwick asked and recast him. But Disney couldn't let a tragedy go to waste and had to capitalize on it.
Yes. My thoughts on the movie was like this. They were making money out of the death of him and exploiting the emotion
YES!! Exactly this!! It's a total disrespect to Chadwick's wishes and people are praising Disney for it
Bro people aren't going to just recast people just because someone died😂you got to be the worst character or just the worst human possibly to get recasted to them recasting someone else as black panther wouldve been far more disrespectful then just doing what they did
@@marcellusedwards8278 he shouldn't be recast. That's not the point. The entire movie was based on the following idea that "now Chadwick boseman is dead. Let's make some money by exploiting peoples emotion by showing old scenes portraying him and all". Thus resulting in a movie with least effort put into story line. I really wanted this movie to be a nice one.
@@marcellusedwards8278 Except Chadwick and his family wanted him to be recast after his death. This was specifically said by him and his family, but they ignored a dying man's last request so they could make money off the tragedy. No that is disrespectful.
Damn I guess I might as well watch it again since it’s out on D+
The illness was unknown. The heart shaped herb is like a cure-all
Personally, I think that when t'challa was snap away the effect of the herbe wore off since he was technically dead, but when he got blipped back there was no herbe to help him fight his desease since killmonger burned them all.
Bozeman was such a fantastic actor. They couldn't replace him. So his charecter had to die. But there are other universes.
RIP Chadwick Bosman Wakanda forever
Really said why he ain’t keep taking it 🤦🏿♂️
I think whenever the situation is of life and death, you can take the heart shaped herb and herb actually heals you
It is not necessary. In the first movie, Black Panther, T'Challa was only given the herb(other than the first time to gain the powers) to heal him when he was in the ice. So I don't think it is necessary to continue taking it, it is only required if the person needs to be healed from severe injuries
"Why didn't he kept taking it" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂💀☠️💀☠️💀☠️💀☠️
mbaku making such sound with a straight face must be really hard....😂
"Watch yo tone mfer"
"🐺 🐺 🐺 🐺"
If the actor of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) Didn’t die of Colon Cancer in real life, they wouldn’t have to kill of his character. But still, Respects to the Legend. 😔
Rest in Peace for Chadwick Boseman because he died.
Its Not because of the movie
I always laugh every time he makes that funny sound.. uuhh uuuhh uuhh.. it reminds me of that meme song..
Shuri in the last scene was probably like “Males🙄” 😂😂😂
That's cool that they gave him an in-universe explanation as to how his character died when the actor passed away I think of colon cancer couple months after endgame
At the end of this I thought it was going to be a musical battle 😂😂
You need the herb to create the antidote too, so it's possible if you leave it in your system too long without taking the antidote and/or more it may lead to the illness.
Heart shaped herb is additive .
"oo..oo.OO..OO..OO"
- a higher power
No, he simply died of cancer like illness like real life Chadwik Boseman (RIP). Shuri was trying to synthesis the herb that if he takes it a second time he would recover or she was simply trying to synthesis an antidote.
Watch your tone jabari " oou oou oou"
Killmonfer wouldn't burn all the herbs if that would be true, because he also took one
