Pricing is a much more complex topic than most folks think. How you buy your materials is the first thing to consider: when you buy in bulk, you get greater discounts, so your cost per shirt goes down. The next thing to consider is your time/labor. How long does it take you to create one of these items and if you had an employee, how much would you have to pay that employee to make one of these templates then shirts? Number of rhinestones and how many colors are important to think about, too. The more colors or more sizes of rhinestones a design has, the more it will cost you to make. Not just in the templates you would have to cut, but also in time to cut that extra template and time to brush in those extra rhinestones. And almost everyone forgets to consider their overhead. The vinyl cutter and heat press were not free to you and they both take electricity to run. So, since pricing from one business to the next can fluctuate so much, we created our Ultimate Business Pricing calculator to help you really start seeing what your number are, so that you have a successful, profitable business. One thing we show here that is super helpful: Adding the custom number and position. Figure each of those can easily be a $5-$7 add-on cost, which means more money for your business.
