Completely forgot to mention the one about how "they only load enough fuel to get to the destination," no of course they load more fuel than that, you never know if you're gonna have to circle, go around, etc.
LaMia: 🤣
@@gonzalez_martin true
iirc it is a lot of fuel, something like a missed approach, travel to alternative airport, missed approach there, and then landing, with another 20 minutes of flight.
Might not be exact, but it is something like that.
I tough that the honeytruck was the truck for trasporting honey so I stole a barrel of honey and ate it 😢
or divert... !!!
As a trainee pilot , i hope when i join airlines , they show this video to everyone before taxing out💀
Yeah they should 🗿🗿🗿

good luck btw
Another common term with autopilot is to treat it as a third crew member. You'll still be there monitoring it and making sure that it's flying well. What I wonder though is, are the pilots allowed out of the cockpit (to possibly stretch) one at a time or not at all?
If I remember, on long flights which could take almost a day, Pilots are changed (replaced by a backup Pilot) so the original Pilot can sleep/rest in the crew rest area.
Other than that, I guess you could mention bathroom breaks but maybe not.
@@Lazymotionyes. That brings the question though. On small planes where do they sleep? I've gone through the cabin of small planes in XPlane and it only shows a toilet.
@@AviationWeekly130 Small planes don't have the capacity to fly long haul.
@@Lazymotionthat's a really good point right there. What about the A380?
@@AviationWeekly130 All long haul Planes have Crew rest areas. (incl A380)
think you forgot that cockpit doors are nearly indestructible unless you start to damage the airframe itself to get in
For some reason sometimes rough landings for me feel kinda amazing due to the fact it wakes you up and it gives your heart that headstart but it's unexpected so that's only one thing I hate about rough landings

1:49: It's possible to open the door mid-flight at certain scenarios.
The emergency exit doors of the plane can be opened if
A. There is not enough pressure difference
-At lower altitudes, when the aircraft is not pressurized, and the air pressure equals the inside and outside of the cabin will not hold up the door. (By manufacturer's design most of the doors still can't be opened due to the design of the doors)
B. There is no protection cover from the door lever
-Some emergency exit doors have a hydraulic mechanism if the person intended to do, anyway, the hydraulic mechanism helps push the door outward although it can only be done at lower altitudes. (also note that it depends on the manufacturer's design)
Thank you.
0:51 Nikocado Avocado in the background??? 💀
The whole opening the door mid-flight myth is actually somewhat possible of some MD-80s , which have a tail door exit where there is less pressure pushing on it.
1:46 the metaphor i heard for this was: imagine you suspended a bead in the middle of some jello. you can shake that jello as much as you want and the bead won't fall out, even if it moves around. essentially, turbulence just means the air is moving around, but it's not going to cause the plane to drop out of the sky
It could be the result of accidents such as BOAC flight 911 that led to such a myth.
Love you ice, you are growing fast!!

3:25. Flashbacks from a day in September of 2001...
If the Bermuda Triangle REALLY has supernatural shit going for it, then the Graveyard of the Pacific and the Amazon Rainforest must be fucking hotspots then.
Unfortunate fact: turbulence CAN crash a plane, or well break it in half i guess… BOAC 911 (no it wasnt a hijacking) broke up in mid-air whilst flying near Mount Fuji after extreme, but like VERY EXTREME turbulence. Fortunately, that happened more than 50 years ago on a Boeing 707 so nowadays the chance of something like that happening are extremely low
Also, when smartphones where becoming a thing, pilots reported clicking likely because of the signals from the phone. It doesn’t damage the plane, just annoys the pilots and you.
“Most airlines offer wifi anyway” unless it’s JetBlue you gonna be paying 20 dollars for 1 hour
Ryanair be like…
There is a 1% chance we will butter the bread.
I love this content! Lets give Ice some credit?
i always thought that airplane mode was used to be sure there isnt any interruption when talking to ATC such as static
3:05 "WoOaHhh, A Little bit bumpy" 💀💀💀
Actually, not having airplane mode on has messed with navigation needles, and it can interfere will aircraft calls to ground control and others. It’ll more just be a little ticking, so it’s more annoying than dangerous. Screwing with navigation needles is rare, but has definitely happened, and that is definitely happened
Along with, as he said, being charged in other countries or your phone connecting to international cell towers
I am actually not scared of turbulence at all, in fact with some of the weaker cases of turbulence I actually find it a bit relaxing
1:21 only on spirit
Yeah man, these yt shorts ppl are making us crazy with their myths! Anyways thnx for the vid!
If I hear the breaking Bad theme I would say
"Jesse, we need to fly a plane Jesse"
Well here is not a Myth: Every time you’re in the airport, RUclips will fuck with you with the “Air disaster” algorithm when you’re inside the airport waiting at the gate.
not only is this dude smart, but his humor is so freaking good
This video actually helps weakening my fear of flights. Thanks 👍
1:52 737 MAX 9: *im boutta end this man’s whole career*
But then what DOES auto pilot do?
Obeys what the pilots tell it to. I.e. it keeps the plane in a certain rate of climb, or altitude and speed. It cannot be activated without human input though.
"Autopilot doesn't make the plane fly itself"
L1011: Hold My Beer 🗿
Now you need to bust this myth. «If you eat an airplane, it will stay in your stomach for 7 years»
the bermuda myth...
Myth : the door can’t open mid flight
Asiana passenger : boy I’ll show u how it’s done by a pro
How many times do I have to comment on these replies. Y’all are really stupid. Do some research before you comment. If the aircraft is under 5,000 feet, the door can still be opened. Otherwise, the air pressure would be too strong. That’s a fact.
It's time to STOP!!! 3:04
We need more content like this
Also cellular data in rare occurrences can mess with some instruments in the cockpit but nothing that could bring a plane down
whats the sound effect you use for the Air koryo song meme?
technically it is possible to open doors mid flight, but only at low altitude (check your doors, private pilots)
"pilots are all trained"
PIA: Am I a joke to you?

In August 2001 an A330-300 is heading to Azores island when someone forget to turn on airplane mode. Suddenly the plane engines stopped at the Atlantic Ocean but managed to glide to the airport. The plane landed on its left gear first then the right gear after doing the Ryanair hard landing. This caused the landing gear door to strike the ground.(Air transat flight 236). Luckily the pilot managed to save 300 passengers. The cabinets crew opened his the door until the slide has been deployed. No one brings anything instead the passengers moved form the A330 to the airport😪
I meant from A330 to the airport not form
2: I meant cabin crew not cabinet
Dont forget the common myth that you will have a bad game if you dont thank the bus driver!
1:52 That one asiana airlines passenger: Are you sure about that?
I thing the biggest myth i've heard is that pilots would volontarily dump fuel in middair just to refill the tank with cheaper fuel in another country when landing because they supposedly have too much fuel...
Thanks mate, starting a channel of my own as well... You were my inspiration
:D best of luck mate!
Now my aeroplane fear has gone now, thank you for curing my depression
Sad that the fake news got to you 😣 Be very careful of what’s said online. Happy you finally know the truth.
Its not entirely true that the planes that pass over the Bermuda triangle crash they just dissapear. (or they disintegrate like a flight that i dont remember ghat turn into pieces in mid air and i forgor why- thats why i think)
It's just that some planes don't support wifi so they ask for people to turn airplane mode on, but if you dont it causes disruptions to the cabins communication system.
random guy: “lets turn off airplane mode! what can possibly go wrong?” *plane starts to stall*
the 737 max 9 actually has a feature where it will sometimes automatically open the door mid flight if you ask it nicely.
I found a new myth: Does the new Icelandair livery cause brandamage?
Airplane mode limits the transmitting frequencies your phone outputs because there’s a tiny chance it will interfere with the reception of the vast range of frequencies an airplane receives
What about the doors of the doomed South African 747 that was on fire? It had to lower to a certain altitude, right?

Him: the door can’t be opened mid flight!
Meanwhile a random dude on a Asiana flight: *random dude has joined the chat*
Turbulence if exceptionally severe, can break up an aircraft, like Boac 911
2:47: I think with “Plane crashes”, they mean like crashing into the ground at full speed or landing in the water.
"Turbulence doesn't crash the plane"
BOAC 911:
I turned airplane mode on and off and when ended up doing a barrel role
Another scary myth: What if ice711 is our captain in a futuristic 1 pilot plane?
AI copilot will keep him in check
Good video keep up the work
'you need to be the fricking hulk too open the airplane doors
' one of the narrator's of emkay in one of the episodes
1:53 that's subjective, you can open the door mid flight but the plane must fly at low altitude

Air Koryo could be the worst rated airline but for the record it has no single air crash in its aviation history.
Airplane mode is a thing that u need to put on planes but if u don't u might disturb the other passengers nearby
Autopilot is just a bunch of settings that the pilot can turn on, but you still need to make sure autopilot isn’t stupid, you still need to hail atc, it only a does a tiny fraction of the pilots job. It also can’t land the plane (although it could probably do it better than Ryanair pilots if we taught it how to) or take off.
On time, I saved a whole Airline from an old lady who had her airplane mode off.
The bermuda triangle is only called so because more planes fly over it.
Think about it this way: Why isn't the "antarctic parallelogram" a thing? because literally no one flies over it. Hundreds of planes fly over the "bermuda triangle" every day. Therefore, it can be concluded that more planes will crash over it than antarctica. I guess it has worse weather, but I don't see how that's relevant.
in regards to turbulence, no it can actually be quiet severe, a BOAC 707 in the 60s was outright destroyed from severe turbulence, infact it was so severe its been speculated that just prior to the aircraft breaking up it was quiet possible several passengers were already dead due to the rapidly shifting and severe +\-7.5+Gs the jet was subjected to..
though admittedly due to crashes like that we learned what areas to avoid flying in, so the odds of a jet ever encountering such turbulence today are next to zero, i just thought id mention it tho
avaition cheat codes:
7500 - formation flight with fighter jets
7600 - mute ATC
7700 priority landing anywhere
it's also impossible to open the doors midflight bc the flight attendants literally lock the doors, besides the air pressure differential. the pilots also get a cockpit indication when any door is opened.
In the most recent video from mentor pilot he calculates that the pressure differential on a typical door puts around 11 metric tonnes (about 22000 pounds) on the door. Pretty strong!
Edit: at cruise level
When i was flying to SXM, there on American and back on JetBlue, both times I only had turbulence inside the Bermuda Triangle
It’s crazy how attention seeking people would use your comment to say: See??? The Bermuda Triangle legend is real!
Anyways, that’s quite a coincidence.
U just made me less scared of going on a airplane thank u :)
2:07 747s and A380s: 👁👄👁THIS PLACE ABOUT TO BLO-
sometimes, very rarely, the poo that is flushed can fly out and land on the ground. it looks like a big blue blob
Watching this I was screaming “you really thought this. SMH.”
Well if depends on the crash like are you going in nosedive or gonna collide with something
This video makes this weird looking birds look funny
I love this video, also appreciate that it doesn’t actually blow up the engine😂
1:27 lol what they scared off: raynair landings
I've got a question, why do some planes have more than one wheel axle on each side of the rear landing gear?
The bigger the plane the more gear
0:00 WHAT THE HECC WAS THAT😭-
I have a plane myth I heard that if you are in a plane at 3:00am and shit your pants and yell "god is great" in Arabic a shadowy figure wil lappear and fly the plane into some buildings

SAA flight 295:I beg your pardon?
You can open the door, but it’s incredibly hard and can’t be opened like shown in films.
Do you even know what happened on SAA flight 295? People don’t even care to do research before commenting anymore. This is truly the fall of humanity.
@@SirAxel. I know what happened
About 2 weeks ago I turned off my airplane mode to use my mobile data while on a plane that was flying. My mobile data didn’t work while we were flying over the ocean, but it did work but very slowly while we were flying over the lands.
People just say wifi or turn of airplane mode will create sound in communicate with pilot and atc but it does not. It’s just traditional

I live just under an hour away from the nearest international airport, so, statistically, I am more likely to get in a car crash on the way to the airport then have the airplane crash during the flight.
the only thing i learned is that the waste truck is called the honeytruck but still great video
