thanks for this video. as far as i know there is nothing as provisional patent application in Canada. So what should Canadians do in order to license an idea?
Hi Marc Portney, I have totally enjoyed the videos and advice. Submitting my sell sheets ,emails and calling companies is an out of body experience every time. I hope the feeling goes away.I’ve submitted 1 of 3 of my ideas and the 1st idea was rejected. I’m going to submit my other 2 tonight. I would like to know are my ideas any good.
Hi Bernetta, thanks for watching. I am happy to look at your submissions. The best advice that I can give you is to not take the rejections personally. If it’s not for them, it will certainly be for someone else. You just have to find them. Keep on plugging!!
I agree with the one who said, he won't pay for an evaluation! Not when there is a public, who is willing to tell you how they like and dislike your product, and you have a provisional patent (Even family and friends), don't even pass it off as your own, they can do a friends a favor. They are consumers too!!!
Thanks for all the advice! I have one question. I can't find a video where you talk about method/process inventions. Are these more easily stolen since they are more abstract? Also what are the chances a huge company (Let's say like Apple) is gonna steal your invention after a meeting? (I know you hate hearing this but I'm scared shitless) Lastly, what's your opinion on the entertainment industry? Easy to license or not? Thanks!
First question. Personally I love process patents. They truly have value. Policing them is very difficult. Second question. Tech companies are hard to work with... in fact impossible! Third question. Entertainment industry, you need different tools. Copyright trademark etc.
@@stephenkey3137 Hey Stephen (big fan btw!) thanks for replying! Alright. I'll try to get a patent. Does that mean I shouldn't approach companies until it's granted? (If that happens) Also how can I have negotiating power if I am afraid they can just steal it or workaround it easily since it's a method? I've produced a small sample using said method btw and it really works. There's big benefits to it.
Marc I probably know what your answer is going to be but have to ask anyways. Will you work with somebody that doesn't have a provisional patent or patent on a idea to bring it to market provisional patent so on and so forth? I love this video because you know what I was one of those guys that put out money lost money and got nothing in return. even though the idea is that I put through these companies they both said that they're fantastic what are your thoughts?
@@marcportney7660 oh I learned not the hard way but thank you for that information as soon as I get the provisional patent filed I'll be in touch. Many Thanks for your time to help all of us out.
People may not like the cursing but those same people will curse their ass off when they think their being screwed. I feel more confident with a person who curses, because words only have the power that you give them.
Hi Marc Portney, how fresh of an idea can I present to you? I’m very early on it and I have a patent attorney doing the search on my idea through inventhelp. I went with them to get the ball rolling on my idea then I started watching your guys videos and I’m afraid of dumping money where It’s not gonna benefit me. Inventhelp seems like a license only business and I believe I’d do best to venture my idea but I would like to hear your thoughts on it, as well as your own interest in being apart of it. Please let me know if it’s worth your time to see my idea even though it’s more so just an idea at the moment with a home made prototype. Thank you
he's got 6 pets and I have 6 kids, pretty much the same. lol. oh geez. Everytime I see a video of Marc on InventRightTV it gives me the hope that there's still an opportunity for success with a straight shooter.
Pay it forward....not everyone has money up front, but they do have great inventions. What does it really cost anyone to help other poor inventors? Come on ..have a heart guys. Karma is always good if you help those who need your help. 😉 I'm sure you also needed good advice when you were starting out. Inventors should help each other. 😊
I appreciate all this channel does to steer inventors away from the scammers
Thank you very much for your comment!
Marc says it like it is!! Very fresh to see that there are still some of the good guys out there!!!
Thank you for watching!
I've watched all three of Marc's interviews and now I'm sold! Sending mine in for his evaluation.

What to do if someone do not have any money to invest for his invention? Is there a possibility to achieve or not?
Simple keep watching the videos. You will learned about licensing. Doesn’t require investment. Thanks for watching!
@@stephenkey3137 you mean to get the PPA then licence?Would Mr.Mark Portney able to help this kind of situation?
