Great video, well curated. I’m reaching for a checked and slightly oversized jacket, Breton stripe merino sweater and high wasted jeans with a slight seventies flare. Enjoy laying everyone.

I try to buy wardrobe items to wear for life, or for as long as possible. So, that means the most classic, timeless styles and very best quality, fit and comfort I can get. It’s pretty crazy how we Americans have been “trained” by brands, designers and social media to nearly replace our wardrobes every season. No one else does this, we are the world’s largest apparel market but far from the greatest population. The amount of our clothing that goes to landfills is a disgrace, even charities landfill the vast majority of items they receive. Europeans tend to buy better and wear their items a lot longer, and mostly, they look ultra-chic. No one does this better than French women. If we analyze their wardrobes, they’re much smaller, more classic and much better quality than the average American woman’s. I only buy natural-fiber fabrics and materials. They’re harder to find a good selection in and much more expensive, but I don’t really have a choice as I can’t wear any plastics, even in blends*. If an item doesn’t work out for me, I resell it, natural-fiber clothing/accessories in good condition will always be wanted by others, they have intrinsic value. But, no one will want a secondhand polyester top, they can buy a new one for not much more. All-natural fibers are also fully recyclable and biodegradable. We don’t know if the plastic ones will ever break down in a reasonable period of time in landfills, they’ve only been around a century and don’t show much sign of it yet * Skin allergies to plastics, a condition becoming increasingly common because of our excessive exposure to these petrochemical-based materials in our daily lives.
Agree with your perspective on building a wardrobe that is meant to last. Investing in timeless, high-quality pieces that provide both comfort and excellent fit is not only practical but also much more sustainable!
Are we wearing straw bags this fall?
if the weather is not so cold, then why not? :)
Knit dresses are autumn/winter staples in my wardrobe. They’re so comfy, and I love them with tights, knee-high leather boots and a wool blazer or coat. Both your writing and your delivery should be practiced to improve your videos.🙂
Thanks Kimberly for your comment and advice! I'll def make my videos better, thanks again!
