A general problem i have with any smaller pack is shoulder straps. It depends on what your carrying. But when you stretch a 25 to 39 litres, there's double capacity, which translates to weight. I've been looking at one of these because you CAN change out the straps for a more cushioned version if you're doubling your weight. I could see this being the only pack you need
@mikebox I've followed this one carefully a lot of reviews. Not heard a bad thing about it. I've got a Berghause Centurio 45, a few ex Brit packs similar, an Alice I got TT shoulder straps for. All the same issue weight and padding. We used to have in last khaki issue era, packs in Australia. They were good straps. Foam and loaded with cotton waste ( good for several yrs of use everything wears out) tbh it spoilt me chasing that strap comfort. Even IF this was a dog of a pack it's easy to detach and try other straps. I like it. It's going to be my next pack for sure. I'm just deciding on 15 or 25 and which to stretch size out on. I can see buy some cordura make a add on. Basically think akin to a 20lt dry bag shape. Fastens to strap buckles, stap at bottom to secure to the pack. Basically a sack on top going down the bag to extend its range. I'm a bit over having several packs and want a one size fits all that's LBE compatible.
I own this pack and the Jääkäri M quoted as 30L ... In my opinion it's way bigger .. I'd say it would hold all that kit inside before you even add side pockets .. you can also clip on the Hatka 12L.. obviously the more you lump on it weight wise the more you push to he comfort of the carrying system. I love Savotta kit they are beautifully made ... I like the Kahaka 25L but I keep it uncomplicated without pouches added because it has no ventilation on the back... Because it's designed to be worn over body armour
I have the 15L. So the problem with the noice of the pouches, clip the rings and put cord on it. Should fix the noice problem. The bag is also made out of 1000D cordura... Very strong material, only the backsite is 500D for a good feel on the back. The zippers are not ykk, but are actually another strong brand of zippers made in Belgium europe. Savotta is made to endure. If i was you i should have took the big hip pack instead of the two pouches. You could have used it in camp and would be easy to take off on the bag with the g hooks.
Ce qui est bien sur ce sac, quand tu mets une gourde dans une des poches sur le cotés, ça ne prend pas de place à l'intérieur du compartiment principale . Le camo M05 me fait penser un peu au nouveau camo Suisse, pas toi ?
I would be honored to have one of these.
I suggest you get one. Really great pack. Does what’s on the label
Excellent pack, i love Savotta quality, i have the jääkäri XL pack and its near bombproof I'll picking this up very soon.
Savotta is very nice indeed!
Indeed
There's a hydration/antennae port on each side, lining up with the top of the backpack straps. Haha I forgot to point it out too
Hey Tim, I had a deeper look. I don’t use the antenna nor the hydration systems. So I wasn’t looking for it.

Totally agree. I’d. It carry more weight in most packs. But this one seems to be able to handle it

The side pouches are perfect. They are on the outside and don’t cause any problems with the items inside
