See I would have said the same two years ago, but last year Canucks didn’t blow leads like this, they were finally consistent and where the best team in the league at creating comeback stories! Hopefully this was just due to trying new lines and stuff.

Anthony Mantha played a HUGE role in Calgary Getting back into this Game.
The 3rd period was a riot But Quinn Hughes being the Best Goalie of the evening and making that Pass to TJ Miller to Force Overtime seemed more than appropriate.

Canucks played good for 20 minutes and that's about it. First game of the season is always crazy, but still way too many mistakes that I would like to see get cleaned up asap! Silovs also needs to learn to save those long range shots. Start Lankinen on Friday. Got a single point, but easily should've been two...

I'm at a loss of words after this game. Watching my team blowing a 4-1 lead, and losing in OT to the Flames, on the season opening game. Shameful. First period was just hype, and the last two, a downfall.
I knew this game would be a hell of a show, this was even crazier than the preseason game against the Flames in Calgary.
You know when it's Flames vs. Canucks, chaos will go down. Just like Miller's brutal hit.

Calgary deserved a win there first game back after everything they’ve been through in the off season
I'mma go ahead and say that Calgary's season likely won't be all the doom and gloom I've been hearing from the haters. There's a lot of heart in this team, and they've got some good juju tipping their way.

For both teams I saw a lot of bad goaltending from Silovs/Vladar!

Canucks played absolutely horrendous. And still managed to get a point. Very conflicted feelings. Credit to Calgary. I think they whined too much in the first, but once they just started grinding and playing their game. They were the superior team for the next 40 minutes and change. Just happy hockey season is back.

Nice to actually get to see the end of the game. Since you pay $20/month on Amazon to have the game cut off if it goes into overtime. Ridiculous! I'd say it's a one off mistake but it's not, you do it constantly with Jays games too. Incompetence and/or a disregard for your paying customer.

Horrible loss for the Canucks. You can’t blow a 4-1 lead like that on home ice against a rebuilding flames team.
I despise games like this. Just toss a win away out of laziness and lack of discipline. Canucks got arrogant and cocky thinking they could coast after the 4th goal. I hope Tocchet reamed them out after this one. I can't recall a single game last season where they went for that long a stretch playing like that. I'm sure there were, but last year even when they lost they hardly ever stopped working. They really need to dial up the discipline to the systems play. I get a bit of opening night "rust" but not by the 2nd and 3rd periods. At that point you should be pulling it together and uping the intensity.
It's so easy for teams to lose that work ethic. Canucks better nip this in the bud NOW. Really disappointing.
