i believe the roof frame curb is not sitting flush with the inside. when they will do drywall inside, it will be zigzag. or is there another soultion to fix that ?
Good video but I have to issue you with a STOP card and ask you to take a TOFS...there is more slack in your safety line than the height of the roof meaning you will simply go SPLAT (technical term from oil industry)...

There is a time ( in an experiencied carpenters thoughts ) when so called " safety equipment " can trip you up and send you off the roof.... not keep you safe...... and people need to use their heads at times .
Never seen the code call for screws on hangers.... Also, what sense does it make to have hangers on single joists when the new double joists they're nailed to doesn't use hangers?

I can just about bet you that most roofers don't take the time to do this leak proofing. One of my brand new sky lights covered the dining room table this morning with rain water.

It fascinates me the difference in other countries. It must be a warm location with the thickness of the insulation in that roof which would be around 80mm here. It must be a very high-performance board for that thickness. Also, any kerbs where I'm from need a min of 25mm insulation as there's nothing preventing cold bridging and that 45-degree edge also made from insulation as opposed to that piece of timber to prevent the same thing. And any flat roof lights require a 3-degree pitch.

Please do not apply sealant to the skylight lens. How do you suppose someone to take it off? It has a rubber seal inside the lens. Also you say in the video "it doesn't say to do this"

What an embarrassment this show is for young men today ! I understand having a safety rope when working on a MAYBE 6/12 pitch and above but give me a break ! Guys walking on a nearly flat surface....... and moving the rope out of their way to work. Safety is important but they dont show how much time was spent connecting two ropes before they begin. When I was young I roofed a 4 way hip on the second story..... when it began to snow. That was a situation where we needed it. Today guys are unsure just what sex they are.... are told to act more like what used to be seen from ladies.... and install a safty rope when they walk down a street that goes slightly down hill. For one thing you couldnt make much money installing and carrying ropes and other " safety " items. Man up men ! Now if you wear a little purple foam hat when you ride your bike.... you,ve been eating too many Estrogen infused foods in my opinion. When you think that " Following the rules " is a sensible thing we should all do...... you need to take a closer look into who has come up with these rules..... and who REALLY benefits from us keeping on track with them all. Before you all start crying let me remind you that this stuff has become much more prohibitive to finishing our work in a timely manner since I was out there..... imagine ( if you let them ) how much more it will control your work down the road a bit ! Nope. It isn’t necessary as the dimensional lumber if rubber applied tight, is a good enough insulator to avoid frost or condensation.

It's because those doubles they were nailed to are sitting on top of load bearing walls. They don't need any hangers.

I think it's optional rather than code. Structural screws. I prefer them to nails in many cases.

I only do skylights on shingle roofs... I always passed on flat roof installs...I've done too many repairs from other peoples installations...

The activator is a catalyst chemical that activates the glue on the non cured rubber to make it stronger and more adherent to the existing epdm roof.

As a roofer, It is actually easier and safer(leakage wise) to do it the way they did in the video. It is a huge pain to lay new rubber around curbs.
But as the roofer, wouldn't you have rather done the job. Because you'll get the blame when it leaks? That is the inevitable weak spot, correct?

I was always told to use nails in hangers and not screws and there not as strong. Can anyone tell me which is correct?
Nails take the friction in , screws just break cause they are way harder . Nails it is .
