We used to visit the Rangeley area a lot back when I was a teen (1980s 😮) and it's lovely. In fact my dad took us on a day hike on the AT near there once and all I remember is the flies!
For someone that does not like noise, you voice your thoughts that should be kept to yourself. That’s respectful and mature. She is being herself and should not be ashamed. Don’t listen to her move on to one you prefer.
I am the day hiker you met on Bemis Mountain. No, our trails are not typically muddy, disgusting messes. It has rained so much more than it normally does, so don't judge Maine's trails based on this year :)
It would serve the camp counselors right if bears got all the food. Blueberries, the carrot for hikers. The Maine ponds are indeed special. I'd love to have joined you in the canoe.
I see there is a need for some commenters to spew vomit. So sad they are so miserable. I think they might need some time in nature. In Minnesota the canoe could be used. Swapped maybe not so much. The clue would be whether or not it has current license numbers for 2023 or beyond. So…I wasn’t there and the images of the boats and canoes doesn’t show clearly. Etiquette would be to return where found. Character assassins need to get off their armchairs and go hiking.
Wow..l I can’t believe you took someone’s canoe, left it at another location and then took another and left that at yet a different location. This is why Mainers are Leary of tourist. Sad….sad….
Local fishermen leave their canoes at remote ponds to use for their own personal fishing trips. They don't chain them up because Mainers respect someone elses boat left at a pond. Hopefully you returned the one you used, and the oars, to its original spot. They are not meant to be used by just anyone who happens along. You seemed to think they were put there for AT hikers! Also, w/o life jackets you could have put you and the other lady in danger. Know proper woods etiquette when it come to personal watercraft at remote ponds, they belong to someone. This is the kind of thing that earns visitors the unflattering title 'flatlanders'. Your videos have alot of content where you seem to be always attaching yourself to other hikers and then you're upset or sad when they give you the slip. I would not want someone 'searching' for me, as you did for Irish. As soon as someone said they saw her, you needed to back off. Maybe she just wanted some quiet, peaceful, alone time, on the trail. Personally I dislike screaming, hooting and obnoxious loud celebrating of every molehill, stream or rock on the trail. As soon as you find a new 'partner' , everything you say is 'we're going to do this, we're staying here, we, we, we'. Did you plan on a solo hike or a hike where you just joined up with random people? Just curious.

Good video with some good views, so let's keep on hiking, with some bad water crossing 😮
I was wondering how the creek would be for you as I did watch Taylor’s. Glad it was good.

2:00 Confuses the bears as to why it's so easy to reach and they are suspicious and leave it alone
😊😊😊

You do have a point, I've often thought the same thing.
I hope the author stays curious.
Wow, just wow. Really? Sometimes things are left better unsaid.
I agree, if it's not yours, leave it alone.

Why? Nothing wrong with what was said. You can not just take a canoe because it is there!!! Really??
