Answering a Tough Question on James 3:1

This verse is complex but not as complex as it is difficult to digest and live out. I think, in the world of celebrity pastors and prosperity salespeople, we need to re-assess the implications of this passage. I think Scripture demands that we reflect and feast upon what James 3:1 (and ultimately God) demands of us.
I focus first on the context, then on broader theological themes, then a theological-exegetical analysis of the passage, and then a final exhortation of the wider chapter.
