Honestly for f2p or low spenders i think going for 5 stars is a mistake cause its gonna take 84 year to upgrade it.i think its better to buy cheap 1 stars from market and upgrade 1 star and 2 stars that we want.5 stars are for whales in this game thats a fact
Game is not supposed to be rushed, that’s what people don’t understand. If you can get 20k plat per week. That’s 80k plat a month. With a bit of luck from weekly legendary crests, you can afford to use some of the bigger gems in the game. Just take it slow and try to have fun, no one is chasing you.
And if you are a low spender, you can easily afford 3/5 or 4/5 gems. At least up to rank 5. If you plan on taking it to rank 10 that’s a different story. If by any chance you get lucky and drop a 5/5, you can sell for tons of plat, and use the plat to upgrade/improve your existing gems. 5/5 is an overkill unless you plan on fighting big whales in the long run.
I consider myself a low spender, I have 3 4/5 gems rank 5 so far, I do pretty much everything in the game, pretty easily. And I don’t plan on upgrading my gems past rank 5.
@@plankton383 im completely f2p so getting 5 stars takes a long time for me even if i get them i cant upgrade them past rank 4.so its really discouraging to invest in them or save my plat to buy them so im just slowly upgrading my 1 and 2 stars.ofcourse I'd love to have 5 stars but you see how it is
@@persian118 I understand! The easiest/fastest way to get them is to invest some money. My friend yesterday, for example, got super lucky. He hit P85 and bought the prodigy path, which gave him a total of 20 leg crests. We ran two rifts and he dropped 2 4/5 stars. While I’ve trying so many times and got nothing. It depends on your luck.
But as a completely f2p player, you’d have to be patient and hope to get extremely lucky. My advice don’t give up on 5 stars gems. Unless you want to get your 1 star gems to rank 10 to awaken your items, I’d recommend focusing on getting 5 star gems. Even full rank 3/4 ?/5-star gems is better in power than full rank 10 1-star gems.
1-2k resonance is way enough to do most content with ease, assuming you have good gear.
And it’s not a race, just take your time and enjoy the game.

I have made 40k plat this way. But now I wonder if I should buy the gem I want or wait until the price goes down more. Thoughts?
Yeah same but I earn almost 30k but on my server Prices crazy rise up like 30% on every legendary gem even
I've been selling skill stones with at least 2 meta skills for same class on them for 2400 plat. takes long but worth it

Deym the only gems that sell in my server are the tourmaline and sapphires. Everyone else sells the other ones for the minimum 100 and even the higher ranks are set to minimum price and they don't sell or take days to sell. You're obviously on a more quiet server since the prices are really high compared to the server I'm on. Sadge
Ok but where to get gems that you can sell in market, because you can't sell gems that you get from instances ?
The ones that drop from group farming are sellable.
Method is good but It doesnt drop that much gem and thats a fact , maybe it does for u and ur team but it doesnt for most people
It's not a fact, it's a personal experience. The fact is that you'll get 12 normal gem drops per day from group farming, assuming you're farming for 2-3 hours. That will net you, along with skill stone selling every few days, 4k plat per day.
My average is closer to 250 per gem. 12 a day is still 3k a day 21k a week. Add skill stones and daily plat and your nearly able to afford some of the lower costing 2/5 star gems in 1 week free to play.

Waiting for diablo 4. this shit is stupid. Paying for a chance to get an item has to be the most idiotic thing blizz has implemented ever.
Activision enforces blizzard to do it like they do all their other games. Call of Duty, Diablo and WoW never had that stuff till EA and Activision figured it all out and started forcing it down their dev’s throats. Probably would have eventually started anyways but geesh lol

You do realize that both the rank 1 gems and rank 2 gems are taxed.
There's no such thing as F2P in this game everyone quit it's all whales this game is only played by p2w people lol
