I think Waymo cars tend to funnel through 17th Street because of the Caltrain tracks. The freeway underpass at 5:16 is one of the few grade separated crossings. Then once you’re on Mariposa Street, at that point it’s a normal route to take 16th/17th (that’s what Google and Apple maps will usually route).
Btw I should clarify I don’t think they use Google Maps for routing in the car - just saying the Waymo router is in agreement with Google Maps regarding taking 17th
Hi JJ, ive discovered your channel this month when I got into waymo and waiting for the waitlist. Thank you so much for giving all these great and useful information and tips. It is so interesting to watch and man they are expensive but they are very cool though. I used to work across the place where the toland depot is and they've definitively increased and expanded. Only problem is the surge pricing and lack of cars during the day. Keep up with the great videos, you rock!
Mach E might be my favorite looking EV 😅 Even as a Tesla fanboy I think it looks way more sleek than the Model Y, maybe aside from the front grille. Almost as polarizing as the cybertruck you either love it or hate it I guess 😂
Tesla fanatics call Waymo a party trick, or cars on virtual rails. Waymo can only follow routes and turns that have been first driven by human drivers…. I think Waymo excels at unprotected left turns at lights as well as being assertive at stop signs. Teslas are supposed to work anywhere even if the area has not been mapped. I know you don’t have much Tesla experience, but do you have any comments?
So sorry, not sure why the auto generated captions didn't work I tried messing around with whisper a little bit but I just don't have time right now I'm sorry, busy with classes. I can promise you nothing interesting was said

Hey thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
9:33 Yep, a roundabout with a stop sign is more like a safe version of a 4-way stop rather than an efficient roundabout
Omg I remember when this guy made that tracking trains vid, so many memories
Lol hi.
I meant to make more videos in that series but now it's too late. ATCS is all gone
@@JJRicks oh ok

That's fair!
Waymo misidentified a parked car as one in an active lane. And it was stupid because it didn't need to be in the right lane.
But it can go to the right lane so it doesnt have to wait longer
oops it was not waymos turn at 6:20
Good catch
The other car was hesitating quite a bit, I probably would have gone too!
@@AutonomyCentralYeah but it probably shouldn’t have gone since the other car started going before it.
@@BadL_ True, Waymo does like to take advantage of other's hesitation.
Hi trying to catch up with your video 👍🏻😁👍🏿🇨🇦🇵🇭🇺🇸

I do actually have a little bit of v12 experience, but just a little. Not really any comments tbh, I'm just waiting to see what happens
the wheel is perfectly blocking the speedometer :(
Yea.... Sorry about that
I need captions
