Daniel Johnston - Some Things Last A Long Time - Baltimore, MD. April 2008

I had the great pleasure of playing with Daniel Johnston at the Ottobar in Baltimore, MD. The first time we played with Daniel was back in May of 2007. This was our second time performing with him and playing his songs. I was fortunate enough to be able to select what songs we'd play with Daniel that night. I chose "Somethings Last A Long Time" because I knew Daniel rarely performs it. As I understand it, Daniel's only other performance of this song in 2008 was in London. This also was the first time I had ever played piano in front of an audience. Thanks for watching.

This is a very beautiful song and Daniel doesn´t play it often! What impress me is that the lyrics from this song are from Jad Fair and they´re so Daniel Johnston´s kind of lyrics. This shows the strong connection between both on that time.
