Yeah, glad I can post more now. I was also curious about the decision to make her look like a ninja. I’m not gonna lie and say that I’m the biggest Psylocke aficionado, but in the past she didn’t look like a ninja to me. But I can see how with a couple of added ornamentations, you could pull the look off even in her older designs. I think it’s creative, and I’m a fan.
@@Life-Lessons-NCNL I can help to explain: This interpretation of Psylocke is based on Sai from the Demon Days X-men comic book by Peach Momoko.They actually confirmed her identity as Sai, being the 3rd character that isn't from 616 ( Main Marvel Universe. Also those other characters are Doctor Doom 2099 and Penny Parker ) Demon Days in general is an alternative universe in which the Marvel characters gets highly influenced by Japanese myths and folklore. For example, Iron Man is a haunted armor, Red Hulk is an ogre, Thor and Storm are Raijin an Fujin... Now in the case of 616 Psylocke being a Ninja, the short answer is yes, Kwannon ( the current Psylocke) has always been a ninja but, if you want the long answer it gets messy.

@@Life-Lessons-NCNLOkay, so back in 1976 Marvel created Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock twin sister of Brian Braddock (Captain Britain) as part of the cast of the Captain Britain comics. Her powers are telepathy and the ability to create pink/purple psychic weapons ( generally a type of knife). She did a lot on those comics, she was a damsel in distress, she was a model, she was a pilot, she worked for S.T.R.I.K.E. ( England equivallent of S.H.I.E.L.D.) even took her brother role as Captain Britain, but It was short lived after a villain left her blind. She was still able to "see" thanks to her telepathy. Eventually she gets kidnapped by Mojo ( evil entretaiment T.V. producer from space) who gives her some new eyes, names her Psylocke and mindcontrols her to fight the X-men. The X-men were able to break the mindcontrol and took Betsy as a new member, without knowing that Betsy's eyes were also cameras so Mojo could spy them and stream their daily lives as a reality show ( eventually Betsy gets some eyes without cameras inside, so don't worry) Time passes, the X-men were hidden from the public, Betsy gets drifted away to the coasts of Japan where she gets rescued by a couple of assasins Retsuo and Kwannon. By strange coincidences, Kwannon and Betsy have the same powers, they have a psychic conection that would be the begining of why Psylocke's history is messy. Both girls ( Betsy and Kwannon) ended up in an accident that leaved them in a coma state. Retsuo was desperated, so he asked The Mandarin ( Iron Man villain, more interesting in the comics than the movies) to bring Kwannon back. He agreed, with the condition to temporally use her for some business. After Retsuo agreed to the condition, The Mandarin went to contact Spiral ( Mojo's six armed right hand woman) to do the job. Spiral used Betsy's body as a battery to jump start Kwannon. What no one knew, is that both girls minds ( Betsy and Kwannon) were mixing up during the revival so when one of then wokes up would be half Kwannon, half Betsy. Kwannon wokes up but Betsy doesn't, Kwannon in gratitude with The Mandarin decides to whatever task he ask, in this case kill the X-men. Kwannon fights Wolverine, he was able to recognize her smell thinking It was Psylocke but didn't understood why she looked so diferent. When Kwannon stabed her fist as a Psychic dagger to Wolverine's head, all the Betsy's memories flood back to her. Wolverine brought Kwannon to the X-men in which she tooked Betsy's identity ( but for simplicity sake i'll still call her Kwannon ) More time passes and the original Betsy Braddock appears in the Mansion calling Kwannon a faker ( if i have penny every time this type of story happens...) Wolverine was unable to smell a difereance, Professor X couldn't identify who was an imposter, both girls were Psylocke. Sadly Betsy dies because of the legacy virus ( a disease created by Mr. Siniester that only affects Mutants) leaving Kwannon as the only Psylocke. During the 2000's and 2010's some slightly major things happens ( Kwannon dies, she's brought back, Betsy gets revived but evil, she dies again....) but it isn't unltil 2018 that something Big happens, a villain with vampire-like abilties leaves Psylocke dry as a mummy, but through her own willpower she was able to recreate her body as Betsy Braddock. And also Kwannon was able to return by unseen circumstances. Starting with the Krakoa era up to this day, Kwannon still uses Psylocke as a superhero name ( there's not an in-universe of why she's using it, but the closest i can think of is because legacy. When you asked someone, do you know who's Psylocke? Most people think of Kwannon's desing, not Betsy's) meanwhile Betsy is the new Captain Britain. There might be some details i left out but that's the gist of it
