Good timing. My E key is broken so if I can't fix it I'll need a good option. What makes it even better is that gunmetal backplate, it's so good looking. Thanks for the video.
I got the Phantom L a couple of weeks ago and it seems like Tecware have stepped up their Quality Control, no coil whine from the RGB, no switches have failed me yet, and I love the low profile even if it could be much lower if they went with a different keycap design. It also improved my WPM by 5-10 words after switching from a full size Corsair K68 mech keyboard. Fingers crossed I didn't jinx myself! Awesome review. -Edit, that gunmetal plate is actual aluminum, underside of the keyboard is plastic ;)
@@Julian-hq9hm I ended up buying the GMMK TKL 6 months after using the Phantom L because I wanted to try out other switches that were not Outemu. Only real negative I had with the Phantom L were the keycaps did shine pretty quickly (3-4 months of use) and because of the low-profile switches, using taller keycaps would not work because they would get stuck when bottoming out. Hope this shed some light on this budget gem.
I have this keyboard I wanted to get the normal phantom but it was out of stock at the time of me needing a new keyboard. I put some hyperx pudding keycaps black version and it looks really nice. It doesn't really even feel like a low profile keybaord with these keycaps. I like how it feels normal and the stabilizers are lubed and they also put a foam pad in it to dampen sound. This keyboard is solid
how did you exactly remove the switches? in my case it is very very hard and i haven't managed to remove any of them. im afraid it will be broken if i use too much force.
I bought this keyboard few weeks ago. Blue switch. I got it at ~32 USD in my country. IMO, this keyboard is amazing for the price. Even without considering its price, this keyboard is still a good one. Of course it can't compete with 300+ USD keyboard, but well... the price is one tenth!
@@HiThere-db3bc That's subjective and I can't really answer that. For me, blue is quite noisy since now I work late into the night. Might want to consider that if you have a roommate/ spouse.
@@Julian-hq9hm Yes, it still works just fine. I'm using it to type this. IIRC they give you 4 spare mechanical keys. Not entirely sure it's 4, I've even forgot where I put the box.
Have the phantom L, better stock up on the low profile key switches.. I've probably used up most of the provided spare switches already over the Covid period.
just got mine for 30$ with shipping, what deal. really happy with it so far. not too much to complain, coming from silver switch with my K65 corsair, pretty good replacement.
I just recently bought this keyboard but I have one major problem with it. The switches just CANNOT be removed for some reason. I watched a lot of videos on how to remove switches for reference but nothing works. Someone please help :(
@Too Much Tech, hi brother, I have the same keyboard but I would like to replace its key caps with the aftermarket key caps. Will it be compatible with any key caps, or only compatible with certain types since this keyboard is a low profile keyboard. Any useful information will be appreciated. Thanks
i have this keyboad with blue switches. actually i loves the red one but it always out of stock in my country. cant find the low profile red swicthes on marketplace too. so i pull out all the snapspring, and it feels linear now lol
i have this keyboard and use cherry profile pbt keycaps on it, and its fine. the only problem is the space key, kinda stuck on the switch, so need to work a bit with a knife on the inside of keycaps. but for oem profile i havent tried for myself yet, but i saw someone put review on marketplace says he can put oem profile on this phantom L
These reds sound really good I currently have the blues on my Phantom 87 But i might buy a bag of red switches and swap em out Never done an upgrade Is it hard?
Any switches with a cross stem is compatible with most keycap set out there i believe so it's not a big problem to be honest :D. Your keycap will wobble but it's really depends on the switch you have and it quality , i have a Leopold Cherry Red switch and it have very little wobble too. The only switch that can reduce wobble that i know is Alps switches and Topre ( very expensive ).
I have this same keyboard and it is a good entry-level keyboard for the price. My only real negative against this keyboard is Tecware's software -- It is a horrible, buggy mess.
Well... depends on how much money you have to spend lol, it’s a situation of do you want to spend half the money or double the money. Or you could wait and preorder a Model O Wireless soon, they will supposedly start to ship in November-December

You need a special type of tweezers to remove a mechanical keyboard switch. Sometimes you need to de-solder them.
Thid model just is very tight, its not a problem with the tweezers
Is this can be used from MACOS, If I customize it from windows(Using Driver)? Please reply me?
Love your vids man!! Have you seen the Model o wireless. I think im going to get it:)
Aye another banger from toomuchkeyboards lol 😂
Amazing video keep up the great work I love these videos
correct me if i'm wrong but i think you can use akko cs switches on this
Which one do you think is better the phantom L or the phantom 87??
Thanks, this vid gives me the confidence to buy this as a gift for my friend who is making the switch to pc
u re such a nice guys dude, the only friend who done this to me is only in my day dream
Hey I was wondering if the matrix mousepad and the Odin mouse pad are similar or they are very different just curious thanks
I would say they are similar, but definitely not the same. The Odin is noticeably better in my opinion.
I have the tecware phantom tkl I think and it's super good. Amazing build quality but hard to get
