Am I the only one who feels like Dave and Tasha are members of my family???? I just love ya'll. I love the details you share with us - the happy times, the hard and sad times. I truly felt your pain in this video and love that you have brought us along on this journey with you. I'm a single mama and Nashville is an area I have thought about moving to when my kids are out of high school/college and start their own lives. I hope I'll be your neighbor because I'll need a couple of friends!!
Buying a house, moving and having a baby are all big things on their own! There will be ups and downs and then it will all work out. Glad you are taking time to be sad when you need too. It is important! Not to mention the stress of all the legal stuff. You guys got this!
Ahh, seeing Tasha cry is so heartbreaking. As hard as it is at the moment to come to terms with the situation, I believe that when something does not work out it is because something even better is awaiting you. But I know it is hard to look at it that way when you are going through the disappoinment. Guys, big hug and keep looking, your dream home is coming! 😘
😢 Tasha and Dave, the best is yet to come. There is this perfect house just waiting for you to find it. All the blessings of the season for both of you! ❤🎄
Oh I just wanted to give Tasha a hug. My husband and I have been there. Our first house, the seller, backed out two days before closing. Decided not to sell their house. It was heartbreaking.
Feel your pain. The corporate buyers with cash offers suck. Sellers should consider their neighbors. As those homes usually become rental properties and are taken care of the same as an owner would. Wish you three the best on this journey.
THIS! I really wish ppl selling their homes cared about who bought from them. So many houses sit empty / ransacked because it’s owned by an overseas random millionaire, and brings the whole neighborhood value down.
Tasha & Dave do a great job of being organized and comparing home attributes consistently! Your agent seems supportive as well. I hated the whole process alas, oh honey ❤🙏🏻 Tasha
Tasha is exactly right on those rugs, the shoe cubbies, chairs… 😊You chose a wonderful home both inside and out. What a cool idea to have your first home printed on canvas. Dave and his new camera toy - fun!
Ok guys that was so fun to watch and heartbreaking to see you lost the dream house. Not meant to be doesn't always help it hurt less. 🙏❤️🙏 Can't wait to see what you did find.❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is not the end for your perfect home. I know how devastated this must be for you. I too lost my dream home to an error caused by my realtor. I really had spent $1500 with 2 inspections! A structural engineer for foundation checked. Anyway, even had purchased furniture for this unique Santa Fe adobe, charming structured home and lost 😢 it all within minutes due to my realtor cancelling my contract by mistake and a cash buyer scooped it up!! Was totally destroyed and thought I could never find anything else that came close to this perfect home. Anyway, I did find another home that I couldn’t be happier! The many friends I’ve made in this neighborhood are priceless!! Things happen for a reason and it was not meant to be because something better will appear for you! Trust me with saying this in my 61 years, always is the truth!! Better days and choices will come! Hugs 🥰 Bisous. 🇫🇷
We also lost "the" house to an all cash offer and months later found our absolute DREAM home (so so so much better than we could have imagined). We are so extremely grateful that first one fell through. All of those tears were worth it in the end. You'll find something even better!
I lived in Nashville for almost 10 years, before it was cool. 😆 You’re going to love it. It’s changed so much, and that makes me sad for the small town feel it used to have, but that’s just how it goes. I’m happy for y’all. It’s a complex economic situation, because many local residents can no longer afford it, but the prices are right for Californians! It’s a really wonderful place, though…lots of content creators! Also, I’m sorry for your heartbreak, it’s really a tough market and feels so unfair at times. I know you’ll find a place that you’ll make a perfect home!
Do Not Give Up! I just got a house in Hawaii! I was the only one of seven offers that WASN'T cash! The reason the buyer chose my offer, which wasn't above the asking price even, like the others, was because I had no contingencies. The house was only four years old, so I chose not to do an inspection, and, because I put enough down, I didn't need an appraisal. So that made for a very easy sale, and he chose my offer, even though it wasn't cash, over all the others. I took a chance, but I saw it was the only way, and I got a really cool house as a result!!! Good Luck you two. Love these videos! 💕
I'm crying with you! This market has been so tough for first time home buyers. The prices are insane and I have no idea where all of these "cash" buyers are coming from. Thank you for sharing your journey with us...love you guys!
These are my favorite types of videos! Especially on a Sunday! Very excited for you two ❤🏡 Edit: feel like I’m watching House Hunters shouting ‘NUMBER 2!!’ 😂
I feel your anxiety Tasha. We just got a new build in SC, moving from NY - and OMG was I nervous. Terrified really. Still am. lol but as Dave said, it doesn’t have to be forever. We don’t move till early spring ( waiting for ny winter to pass) but we closed last month. Happy for both of you!! Here’s to new adventures, and cheaper taxes! Can’t wait to watch your journey
Rewatching this after realizing which house you guys moved into! The lady bug as your talking about it. 🥹 So excited for you Dave and Tasha !! What an exciting next chapter. 🎉❤
I did love this video as far as seeing your search and excitement with the different homes bc I never experienced that since my husband already had a house we made our home. It was absolutely gut wrenching to see Tasha so disappointed and sad. You both are such a positive light and deserve everything you want in life.
@TashaAndDave your beautiful! You are a beautiful crier and from watching yalls vlogs your beautiful inside and out!! That is one lucky baby boy with yall for his parents 💕
This breaks my heart. I can understand.. hang in there, your dream home is out there! New season of like is upon you! Prayers to you all in the next venture of house hunting. ❤
I love watching you two 🫶 we're sending you all the love 💕 Tasha you are so sweet and I love how supportive Dave is ❣️ it is absolutely heartbreaking to not have an offer accepted 💔💔 feel for you guys so much!! 🤍
My heart broke seeing Tasha cry. During my house hunting journey (viewing about 50 homes), I put in offers on 4 houses and lost them all due to cash offers and bidding wars. I was emotionally exhausted. But then I found “my” house, and my offer was accepted. Turns out it was meant to be--not only do I have the greatest neighbors in the world, but those other 4 houses sustained very heavy damage from Hurricane Ian and mine had virtually none. As hard as it is not to get discouraged through this process, don’t lose heart. Love you guys! 😘❤️
I remember going through this when i was pregnant with our first child - there is so much at stake, so its an emotionally powerful time! But just like us, I strongly believe you will find something that will perfectly align for you. Hoping for the best.
Tasha, there is a way better house that you will love so much more. I went through the same thing several times. I promise you will get the most amazing home. I wish I could give you a big hug right now. On one house, we had them accept our offer as a backup offer, so if the offer they accepted fell through, our offer was automatically accepted. Well, it fell through within a couple of weeks, and we immediately went into escrow!
When my husband and I were trying to buy a home back in 2019, we kept getting out bid and we were bidding well over asking and it felt so hopeless. Then I was looking at 8 houses in one day, by myself, and I found the one. I bid exactly asking price and it was $20k less than we would've spent on any of the others, and my husband had to just trust me. It felt like a miracle when we got it and it has turned out to be the perfect home for us. I'm super close friends with my next door neighbor and it's in such a better location for my husband's work and my high school aged step daughter's school. You'll get the "right" house. It doesn't make it less discouraging or less heart breaking, but you'll get the one you need
Awe, I'm so sorry. I'm crying with y'all. Also, I'm sending ((Hugs)) and positive vibes to you both! I believe that #4 was just the trailer, a preview. The main attraction is coming next. Hang on because the ride will be worth it...All the best to you three :).....(ps - that #2 tho! Baybeeeee)
Great video! Thank you for sharing! I feel so sad for Tasha and seeing her cry. I do believe that your home will come soon. Keep looking and stay positive.
This is such an emotional journey. I know so many of us following you understand this feeling too well. You put your heart into finding the perfect spot only to find out it’s not the one. It’s out there and it will be better than you could imagine❤️
I feel your pain Tasha - it’s heart breaking when a deal falls through but after the tears you just brush it off and realize - that wasn’t the one. It just makes you that much closer to your dream home ❤ btw - #2 was fabulous imho 😊
Oh my God! The end of this video breaks my heart!! This happened to me twice! I was also pregnant! It was heartbreaking! You will find a great place that you'll love! Just because you heard no this time, might really just mean not yet! Virtual hugs!!!❤
awww, you guys! thank you for taking us along on this journey. i'm so impressed with all that you've accomplished! it seems like just a little while ago that we were along for the ride when you were leaving your little studio apt and looking for your current place...and now you're ready to buy a 3000+ sq ft home! home #4 was beautiful, and it was heartbreaking to see tasha's disappointment when your offer fell thru. but i think that you've since found your dream home, so i'm looking forward to the continuation! :)
Don’t lose hope. Your home is out there. And it will be even better. Moved to Nashville in June. Originally our house went to another offer but the sellers came back 2 weeks later the original offer fell through.
Awww man Dave. This was heartbreaking. So many of us have been there so please know your not alone. I loved this video of real life and being so vulnerable in the lows, its so relatable. Someday, you will look back and think "look at what we have because of what we didn't". God is so good and will provide the perfect house for your family. Hang in there Dave and Tasha!
This is a super tough video to watch but as someone who has spent the last 4 years looking for a house in TN, the market is highly desirable and everything moves QUICKLY. If you see it, like it, you need to move on it is what we learned. We closed on our dream home this summer. It will happen. It just takes time. If it wasn’t this one then the perfect one for you both is still out there. Heartbreaking for sure this time of year. Positive thoughts for you both, always!
This video told the storyso well...I felt like I was with you guys. I also felt your disappointment. I am sorry it didn't work out... but something better is coming your way. I am excited about your journey. Love and light to you both! ❤
Hang in there, ya'll. I know Nashville will bring you the most perfect place it can when the timing is right. I have lived in Gallatin, TN my whole life and this area has so much to offer. Nashville can't wait to see you soon!
I remember 25 years ago we put the offer which was 2k more then cash offer other buyer put in. We lost the house, my husband was furious, but 2 months later we bought the beautiful property & built our dream house, still living in this house & looking back losing the first house was a blessing for us. Good luck in searching.
I'm guessing house #2 is the one you bought. Only because I heard Dave mentioned a big window with an arch and lots of light a fireplace and side office. My Guess Dave's Easter Egg is the thumbnail house is the one you got not lost.
Oh my heart, I understand that grief of dreaming, submitting the offer, mentally moving in, and losing out. Honestly, it's a similar grief to the journey of infertility. The hope we create for our future carries such a heavy grief when plans change. But you get stronger and stronger, and it hurts less with time. You will find the right house for you, and you'll know when it happens. It will be green lights all the way. Chins up, elbows out. You've got this. ❤
I feel you Tasha & i understand the frustration. I was just like you when we were looking too, the ones i loved & put an offer just kept slipping away... finally one of the house that was taken for some reason, didn't close on their offer & it became our home..... your home sweet home will come.
Same thing just happened to us. We have 3 kids and are just stuck in Knoxville limbo in an Air bnb for Christmas. My worst nightmare really 😢 I wanted to give my kids a house for Christmas.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. For sharing a “real” sincere authentic moment. In a world where everything feels so happy go lucky all the time. You forget the people across the screen aren’t characters. I know this must have been tough to post. But thank you to both of you for sharing a vulnerable moment and I more than hopeful we will get to see the both of you look back at this from the inside of your new home and thank god that everything happens for a reason.
My husband and I put in 2 other offers before finally getting our home. We nearly gave up given the rising interest rates and skyrocketing cost of homes in the Bay Area. Our current home is by far my favorite out of the 3 😊 I look back now grateful that it didn’t work out with the others. So have some hope and a little faith that it’ll work out. You will get your home and you will love it just as much if not more. Wishing you both the best. ❤
Aww! It’s okay to cry! House hunting is hard and the frustration and disappointment can be real. Thanks for sharing this. I love house looking, especially when I am not buying. You two are an awesome couple and the right house is coming your way! ❤
Look at how far you both have come. Those who have been there from the start, like me, watching the channel grow, to your relationship, engaged, married and a new bundle of joy now :) We have all fell in love with Boone too. I have to point out how you started looking in California and those weren't working out and now here is Nashville. Just with what you show us you have been through a lot, even though happy times it still is a lot. It will all work out, maybe not on your time or exactly each nook and cranny to perfection, but it will be perfection for you both to start your family. Thanks for adding on to the vlogs so we can continue to be part of your journey. Truly excited for all that has come your way and continues to ~ Kellly
For the neighborhoods you’re fond of ask your realtor to keep their eye out for properties that come on the market in those areas. You will probably get a call sooner than you think. Another trip but would a good problem that will be! Best wishes!
Wow, moving out of California. We did the move from San Diego to a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia! So glad we did it. We saw many homes before finding ours. You will find it. Best of luck🤩🤩🤩👍
It's so deflating when your offer is not good enough. We looked at 15 houses and put in 3 offers, and finally, our 3rd offer was accepted. We lived in that 1,400 square foot home for almost 8 years, and I loved that sweet house! We sold it and made enough money to purchase 5 acres and build our dream home. The only thing more stressful than buying a house is building one! We love our house but we are never building again! 😂
My heart was breaking for you two, but especially for Tasha, with her tears. 😞Wanting to give you a big hug!! Either something better will come along or maybe the buyers' financing won't go thru. But just remember:- you have each other!!! 🙂
Wow.. I can’t imagine what those homes would be LA, it’s disheartening but I truly believe the interest will go down next year and you will find a home that you will love more and will be cheaper .. gotta believe the right one is around the corner.
I'm leaving California next month for Arkansas. I bought a brand new house that is sup[posed to be ready Jan. 23. I've been at this process almost 6 months and the other two houses I looked at, just weren't right. This is one is! I wish you two all the best! I'm sure you'll enjoy your new home! Thank you for sharing it with us! I'm glad to know im not in it alone! 🥰You guys have to believe you are being protected from something! It will happen!
@@TashaAndDave Seeing Tasha cry made me so sad. But, I totally get why she was emotional! That house was gorgeous! I can't wait to see the perfect one for you!!!
Get a house with a basement if you can find one. Those tornado warnings are freaking scary. I spent many nights sleeping in the master closet with my baby son, totally terrified. When I moved from Murfreesboro to Nashville, my house had a basement, and I felt so much safer during the tornado watches.
@TashaAndDave When I moved there in 1998, it was the first time a tornado had touched down in Nashville in about 30 years. I was at work in downtown Nashville, and it was one of the most frightening moments in my life. I was on the 6th floor, and I looked out the window, and the sky was black. The power went out, and I headed down the stairs. When I got to the main lobby, I looked out the wall of glass doors and saw giant chunks of debris flying down the street. I made my way to the basement where a bunch of people were praying. My whole body was shaking, I was so terrified. After a couple of hours, we were cleared to leave. As I headed out of Nashville on my way home to Murfreesboro, the sky was blue in front of me, and there was a black cloud around Nashville in my review mirror. That first year I lived there, over 200 tornadoes touched down in the Nashville/Davidson area. It officially became part of tornado alley. I definitely felt so much safer when I moved into Nashville and had a basement. You will find that a lot of the older homes, in the neighborhoods close to downtown, do have basements, like in the Belmont area. That's my incredibly long story to explain why homes in the Nashville area weren't originally built with basements. It's like how the homes where I live in Northern California weren't built with A/C. It simply wasn't needed in the past.
I moved to Nashville when I was 22. I ended up in Murfreesboro. I worked in downtown Nashville. After one year, I moved to Nashville. The town of Labanon is cute. I love the square with all the antiques. As far as stuff to do, I think it's a little remote. You would be better off in Hermitage, Smyrna, or even Murfreesboro. I absolutely loved living in Nashville. I loved the people I met there and I loved the music and shops and food. I had a hard time with the racism and segregation, but hopefully, it's better now, over 20 years later. If you could afford it, Franklin is the best place to live. While you are there sometime, you absolutely must go to the little town of Bell Buckle.
@TashaAndDave Yes, it's definitely one of the most expensive areas. It's where a lot of the country stars live. They also care very much about maintaining their property values. I remember reading an article about how strict the building codes are. Some areas that are great places to live and more affordable are Bellmont and East Nashville. East Nashville used to be really run down, but it's become a nice, trendy/hip place to live over the years. Belmont/Hillsboro is super close to downtown and is beautiful. I also really enjoyed living in Murfreesboro, and it only took about 30 minutes to get to Nashville. You get a lot more bang for your buck if you are willing to drive 20-30 minutes.
I‘m so sorry, this sucks. We had been searching and outring offers in for 2 years but let me tell you the house we got in the end was sooo worth the eait, best and most perfect one for us! I really hope it will feel the same for you guys once you get your house! I‘ve heard a lot of people having the same experience.
Dave and Tasha, I’m in a suburb of Nashville called Brentwood. Franklin is much more desirable, to me at least. I hope you’ll continue your search in the area. We need more “Lefties” here, though, Nashville is more “liberal” than all of TN, kind of like Austin is to TX. I know you have plenty of resources already, but PM me if you have any questions about the area. Don’t give up! And BTW, not sure when this was filmed, but were you here for the terrible tornadoes last night?

I feel your pain Tasha - it’s heart breaking when a deal falls through but after the tears you just brush it off and realize - that wasn’t the one. It just makes you that much closer to your dream home ❤ btw - #2 was fabulous imho 😊
Oh my God! The end of this video breaks my heart!! This happened to me twice! I was also pregnant! It was heartbreaking! You will find a great place that you'll love! Just because you heard no this time, might really just mean not yet! Virtual hugs!!!❤
Thank you so much!!
House number 2 looked really good. Good luck in the home search. We are also looking, but we are in Utah.
Love you guys! The perfect house is out there for you and will be the best home for you and your growing family. ♥️
Praying for yall! So sorry the offer didn't go through but I know you will find something even better! Best of luck ❤
Your house is coming ❤️ at the right time and place. Love y’all
I love that you noticed the Lady Bug.🐞 It’s a sign to trust you’re on the right path……
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
awww, you guys! thank you for taking us along on this journey. i'm so impressed with all that you've accomplished! it seems like just a little while ago that we were along for the ride when you were leaving your little studio apt and looking for your current place...and now you're ready to buy a 3000+ sq ft home! home #4 was beautiful, and it was heartbreaking to see tasha's disappointment when your offer fell thru. but i think that you've since found your dream home, so i'm looking forward to the continuation! :)
woo hoo all caught up on all your videos!!!! I have enjoyed them! Cant wait to see all these baby/house videos to come
Don’t lose hope. Your home is out there. And it will be even better. Moved to Nashville in June. Originally our house went to another offer but the sellers came back 2 weeks later the original offer fell through.
Awe I'm sorry. I hate when that happens. Another one will come up and be better❤❤I promise just right for you guys
Thank you so much! I truly believe that too!
Love this video. Love you both. Nice choice of score, Dave! ❤
This video told the storyso well...I felt like I was with you guys. I also felt your disappointment. I am sorry it didn't work out... but something better is coming your way. I am excited about your journey. Love and light to you both! ❤
I love this family maybe bc we seemto let our feeling show, hugs tosha❤❤😂😂❤🎉🎉🎉❤😂
I truly believe this no means that your yes is going to be even better and it will all make sense. Thank you for sharing. I cried with you Tasha!
🙏🏼🥹
Ugh, I feel your pain. Been there many times thru the years. Hang in there and trust the process. It will happen.
Hang in there, ya'll. I know Nashville will bring you the most perfect place it can when the timing is right. I have lived in Gallatin, TN my whole life and this area has so much to offer. Nashville can't wait to see you soon!
So sweet, I’m sorry y’all.
I remember 25 years ago we put the offer which was 2k more then cash offer other buyer put in. We lost the house, my husband was furious, but 2 months later we bought the beautiful property & built our dream house, still living in this house & looking back losing the first house was a blessing for us. Good luck in searching.
Also, I beg of you to blog the moving in/decorating/house tour process. I’m so obsessed with those kind of videos LOL
Absolutely plan on it!!
Enjoyed the video so much, thank you!!❤❤❤
I'm guessing house #2 is the one you bought. Only because I heard Dave mentioned a big window with an arch and lots of light a fireplace and side office. My Guess Dave's Easter Egg is the thumbnail house is the one you got not lost.
The thumbnail house is just a generic google image “Nashville” house. But hopefully we’ll have good news to share on our new home soon! 🤞🏼
All the best in house hunting Dave and Tasha. You'll find the right one, don't worry. 🤗
I love how sweet you are to your wife. That says a lot about who you are. Your new home is waiting for you . ❤️
Ah I’m sorry my son and daughter in law just went through the same thing stay strong you will get your dream home
I adore y'all so very much 💓 It broke my heart seeing Tasha cry 😢.
Just remember, everything happens for a reason! Lots of love to y'all 🥰
Awww you’re making me cry!😢
I feel you Tasha & i understand the frustration. I was just like you when we were looking too, the ones i loved & put an offer just kept slipping away... finally one of the house that was taken for some reason, didn't close on their offer & it became our home..... your home sweet home will come.
Thanks for sharing!!
So sorry your 1st choice fell though. But you did get a wonderful home after all. Still no Christmas tree.🎄😔
Beautiful homes!
Same thing just happened to us. We have 3 kids and are just stuck in Knoxville limbo in an Air bnb for Christmas. My worst nightmare really 😢 I wanted to give my kids a house for Christmas.
Thanks for sharing your many adventures with us! So happy for you both!
So sorry for Tasha but Dave is staying strong for Tasha. So sweet. A better home will come along for you both.
Thank you. Thank you.
Hugs. I know this hurts. The right house will come along. Every house we have bought came about unexpectedly.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Bless you both! You will find your perfect home. ❤ But, my heart was heavy seeing you both so sad. The right house at the right time. It will happen.
I have had offers fail too only to find a better home. I believe your perfect home is out there!
I think so too!
Love you guys - you will find your dream home, I promise 🙏🏡💕
So sorry your dream home didn’t work out! Hopefully the right one has already found you guys ❤🎉😊
I hope so too! 🤗🙏🏼
She is so pretty!!! :))
Absolutely! We keep telling ourselves there’s a reason when things don’t work out 💕 a better option is right around the corner
@@TashaAndDave Seeing Tasha cry made me so sad. But, I totally get why she was emotional! That house was gorgeous! I can't wait to see the perfect one for you!!!
Franklin is more $ however has the best schools. Something to consider with your growing family.
Get a house with a basement if you can find one. Those tornado warnings are freaking scary. I spent many nights sleeping in the master closet with my baby son, totally terrified. When I moved from Murfreesboro to Nashville, my house had a basement, and I felt so much safer during the tornado watches.
Yes, especially after yesterday's outbreak of tornadoes in the mid south.
I was surprised how many of the houses we toured didn’t have a basement! I would’ve thought that would be standard there!
Franklin is pretty expensive based on what we looked at! Popular neighborhood!
I moved here in June & love Nashville 🎉 Im in Smyrna & it's a fantastic, growing location. Quick 30 min to DT & 20 to airport too.
House number 2!!!
ok!!
No we weren’t there for the tornados - were there a couple weeks ago - just happened to post this video today! Hope you all are doing okay!!
Really crossing my fingers you find the perfect one ❤
Sorry Dave and Tasha...the right door will open at just the right time. Good things come to those who wait❤❤
