I think that handwritten music said "concertina" up in the corner, so that's probably the instrument it's meant for. Sure would like to know where you got your old papers. LOVELY JOURNAL
Hi LaVon, I have been collecting for years but some good sources are friends, family, antique shops and good old ebay! :) Pam :) !!
OK, I have no words except FANTASTIC!!
Thanks so much, Pam!! :)
Hi Ruthann Amarteifio! Big time blushing here! Thanks so much for your kind words! :) Pam :) !!
Can I know please how much is this majestic journal? I just fell in deep love with it
What a Beauty💕💕!!!
Pam,this is my favorite journal from all I have seen! I envy whoever purchased this as I would have loved to have all the treasures you included. The vintage ephemera is what had me from the very first page! The paper doll and vintage valentines brought back a flood of memories. I really admire your passion for art, paper, books and writing.
When I was young, we couldn't afford paper dolls - yes we were that poor😊. My mom worked at a 5 & Dime store. When they would retire the pattern books for sewing, she would bring one home for me. I'd cut out the pictures of people and use them for paper dolls. I had complete families to play with. Had lots of fun creating long stories of their lives. Somewhere along the way, I did own one paper doll with her clothes ( I think a friend gave her to me because she got a new set). I think I enjoyed the cutouts the most, even though I couldn't change their clothes. Ah the memories...
I love your story Nell! Thanks for sharing it! Yes, those dolls do bring back so many memories! :)
What a beautiful journal. I purchased a turkey to raise for the holidays...he was very small so he needed lots of extra care. Needless to say, I named him Stan and he never became dinner. He was sweet and affectionate and never mean. I had him almost three years. He followed me all over the farm and always gobbled when he saw me. White turkeys do not have a long life span which is sad but we have fun a wonderful life and he gave us so much love. Never world have thought a turkey could be so smart and sweet.
Wow Karen! Thanks for this info! I never knew! Very cool! :) Pam :) !!
Omg.. is the most amazing,beautiful,interesting,journal I ever seen ..I congratulate you..beautiful art .. 👏👏👏❤❤❤😊
Diabetes whiskey LOL
Lol, I know, right.! :) Pam :) !!
The coin is a french one. It is a 20 centimes (cents), 1/5 of 1 french franc. Francs have been replaced by Euros (european money) in 2002. Hope you understand my english. Good prononciation for"Champs Elysées".
Beautiful junk journal full of old treasure papers.
Merci beaucoup! This helps tremendously! Yes, I understand you perfectly! :) Pam :) !!
Love it...where are you getting your Things from overseas? I lived as a child and unfortunately have really not a lot to remember by. I would love to get something from Thailand Philippines...France..Germany....Switzerland...Egypt...Russia.........thank you.
Hi there, my sources are friends, family and ebay! :) :) Pam :) !!
I really enjoyed your flip through of this gorgeous journal, but it cut off before we were at the end of the book. This is the most pretty journal I've ever seen.
Thanks Sandy, there is a part 2: See Part 2 Video: ruclips.net/video/TwHC22ZSq_U/видео.html (shows Enigma Journalette)

The Russian certificate of the sixties is a certificate that gave its owner the right to take part in sporting events, as well as to be a spectator at them. In post-Soviet countries, a huge number of such certificates have been preserved in each family.
Thank you so much! This is so helpful! I really appreciate you taking the time to enlighten all of us about the history here! I find it so fascinating! Pam :) !!
This would be the best valentine gift from a husband to his wife! It is phonominal,
I really appreciate that thank you very much :)
I am enjoying watching this & listening to you while cutting pictures out of an old Martha Stewart holiday book. If how I wish I had vintage paper dolls sets from my childhood. Yes, roosters can be mean. My first memory was when I was about 6 yrs old when I tried to mimic a rooster who was crowning. Don't fo this, they don't like it. I still have the scar on my knee 60+ something years later.
Yikes! My mom had an encounter with a pig once she never forgot either!
Oh my!! That sounds much worse.
The thin typewriter paper was called onion skin if I’m not mistaken. I also remember the milk caps and had Betty & Veronica paper dolls
Brings back so many memories, I am the same way Annette! :) Pam :) !!
Amazing journal!! Your style is unique!
Hugs Marsha
Thanks Marsha! :) Pam :) !!
Beautiful journal with gorgeous, luscious tassel and incredible ephemera! Chicken toenails, radio cards, draw bridges, and diabetes whisky! Only you, Pam! LOL! TFS the chuckles and inspiration and creativity!

Absolutely love this. Where do you get all your old old letters and envelopes etc. I love them! I rushed over to see if I could purchase this.... But I'm guessing some other lucky person bought it.

Well... I see the what have you do.... it’s look like fabulous 😊
I remember paper dolls. Anyone remember Betsy McCall paper doll and outfits in their magazines?
My Mom used to make me paper dolls and I would spend hours designing their clothes, it was so much fun…..my childhood was filled with paper fun!
I am in awe..each of your Journals when I view I think to myself thus has to be the mist fabulous journal that you have made! Then you do another one and once again you have exceeded my expectations! My wish is that one day I will have you make me a custom Journal...your workmanship and dedication to each journal is amazing to behold not to mention your vivid imagination. Thank you for sharing
Wow! So much inspiration! I love your style and admire your ability to find so much authentic ephemera to include.
You made laugh about the family with the turkey when you said the little girl didn’t know what was coming. Brought back memories of when we raised all our cows,, chickens and pigs. It was my job the bottle feed the calves and feed the pigs. (I refused to go to the chicken coop to collect eggs). I so got very attached to them. I knew we were raising them for food but I always cried when it was time for them to leave us. I usually refused to eat the meat. My mom and dad “took care” of the chickens when it was time to turn them into food. I was luckily at a horse camp at the time.
I just found your channel! This Yugoslavian money was super cool! My dads side is from Croatia, and my Croatian great aunt actually owned an antique store! The love for vintage runs in the genes!
I’ve not even finished the video and LOVE your ideas!! I was blown away by your lace curtain!! Love it! Going to search for the video where you made it as soon as its over!! Thanks for a great video as always!!
Where can I get post cards and envelopes. I just ordered more from u. I really happy with my order. Thank u so much.
So very beautiful ❤❤❤ Amazing junk journal
I have been watching you for a while I love your work I wish I had the money I would buy it from you I got scammed 3200 to have my roof done .man never showed up to do the work. He was arrested for other charges and was told I can't get blood from a rock so I hope my roof doesn't fall in this winter. but I do have tons of antique laces and trims I started to downsize my whole craft room on my youtube I have to destash more if ever you want to barter please let me know
Hi there! I am so sorry that happened with the roof! I pray your roof holds up a while :) I need to downsize too! I have no idea how all this stuff crept into my craftroom! lol. Gremlins I am sure! Pam :)
You have some amazing ephemera, Pam! Such a fun interactive journal! Love it! ❤️
Thanks Gayle! That means bunches coming from you! :) Pam :) !!
Oh to be able to take a journey through this...whose got it? Pass it around!
Every element in your journal is so great. I love the ephemera and the antique papers.
Hello! :) Thanks! Pam :) !!
Where do you get all the historical documents?💕
Oooooh what a BEAUTY! Of course by now I know the journal will be totally amazing. You're supremely talented. The zine is also awesome! Totally agree with the butter thing (as a former nutritional advisor I just don't allow any margarine in the house - and certainly don't want it inside my body)! I used to play with paper dolls when I was a kid! Even liked just cutting them out. It was such a joy finding them in special ladies magazines. Speaking of Paris, I worked as an au-pair in Paris 1983! I couldn't speak French, so at that time I found the Parisians very rude (I've heard this is no longer the case!)! Did not learn any French either unfortunately, since I worked with Swedish people (Ingrid Bergman's ex husband was my employer. Today the 5-year old boy I took care of, is a 42-year old successful photographer in the States!!). :)
That must have been a fascinating experience! How exciting! I agree on margarine! Blechh!!!! My hubby and I went to Paris for our honeymoon back in 96. I ate way too many chocolate croissants but loved each and every buttery one of them :) I arrived in the USA from Canada in 84. Guess we were both exploring different countries about the same time :) Thanks for who you are Ditte! :)
What A Gorgeous Journal Pam! Did you know you were tagged by Speckled Seahorse to answer the 10 crafty questions - just watched her video and came to see if you had already participated and hoping you will 😘 Also noticed that your channel has totally exploded... only less than 200 'till five thousand subbies!! Amazing - so happy for You.
Hi there! I will check her video out :) Its all you folks out there! I am just sitting here gluing things together. I am forever grateful for all the encouragement and support! :) Thanks! :) Pam :) !!
It’s so mesmerizing to see you flip through all the pages and pulling out all the goodies for the longest time too.
That german writing font you like is called Frakturschrift
I'm german, 32 and when I was a little girl I was so fascinated by my grandma's old books I had her teach me how to read it. German is ridiculous in terms of language, we have two types of cursive (that I know of) and the grammar basically gets changed every couple of years lol
I love that font too, it's so bold and respect-inducing (I think I'm making that combo word up just now) but you get the gist.
Your books fascinate me. How you manage to price them or even sell them at all is beyond me. They are so valuable that in my opinion no price is high enough. All the effort and just everything going into them... I see why they cost what they do (although I feel they are worth much more), not that I am in a position to buy one but it's nice to just watch you flip through.
Every single one is really a being of its' own. I love that you name them or give them a backstory. Really beautiful work.
One day when we're all dead and long gone, people are gonna find your journals and say "oh this is a pam book...) 😆 you'll be known as being one of the people spearheading the junk journal artistry movement hahaha 😝
LOL, you are a hoot! My hubby's family is from Germany and my step sister is a German teacher. They all tell me what a complex language it is. I think it is a very beautiful language :) Thank you for your very kind words! :) PS: Buying one is one things but making your own i s sooo much better! ;) Nudge nudge ;)
Hi Pam.... Marvelous journal, you put so much beautiful stuff, ephemeras from all over the world, and also the ones you made in your tutorials vidéos.... The 20 centimes money is from France, just before using Euro. I like the funny idea of the paper doll and clothes tucked on page... Your round tabs look cute..... OMG.... I LOVE EVERY THING you put in...
I go and watch the part 2
Hugs.. Kizi
Hello sweet Kizi! Thank you for solving the mystery of the French coin! I was hoping you would spot it! I had a feeling you might know where it was from! And voila! :) Pam :) !!
Hello I am new to your channel and you do fabulous work!!! You so inspire me. But one thing.... extra fabulously tassel please share how you make those with that clip or clamp? Please!!!
Hi Lynn! Here is my video on how to make the spine tassels :) ruclips.net/video/ajgvZJ7kTPQ/видео.html
Wow! WHAT A FANTASTIC JOURNAL. Where do you get all your ephemeras?
Hi Theresa! Thanks! I have been collecting for years. My Main sources, are friends, family, businesses, garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores, antique shops and ebay :)

Hi Terri Hanna! Welcome to the family! I agree, I miss writing a letter :) Thanks for watching! :) Pam :) !!
Oh My Stars! You always do an awesome job! Plus, I get so excited after watching what you've done that I'm actually productive.... well sort of anyway!!!! Now to learn to give my journals away! Hubby man says he'll have to build an addition on the house for my journal "babies " I must learn to let go!!!!!
Hi Carol! That's exactly what happened to me! :) Pam :) !!
WOW! I discovered you 2 days ago and am totally in love with your style. I have been taking notes, soooooooo many new ideas to make for my Journals! Did you sell this Journal on your Etsy? Not there now. May I ask the price of the Journal? With so many original pieces, I wonder. (I have a huge 3 ring binder full of Victorian trading cards and have no place to sell them. So hard to be found on Etsy! )
I am looking forward to watching more of your videos. KEEP ON CRAFTING!
Hi Brenda and welcome to the family! You are very lucky to have so many trade cards! They are such beautiful works of art! May they find happy homes in your journals and beyond :) Yes, it was sold on Etsy. If you go to my page on Etsy ThePaperOutpost look under my company name at the top. You will see a link that says 17 sales. If you click on that it shows you everything that has sold on my site :) :) Pam :) !!
Wow.. Just wow...
Thank you dearest Anushka! Now back to studying :) Pam :)!!
I think just the Tom turkeys are mean
OK, I have to ask, and not trying to be rude AT ALL but why do you refer to a book, even a gorgeous one, as a "she". It's a thing! I've always wondered when I hear people do that. Just seems...? I don't know! At any rate, thought I'd ask. Beautiful book!! LOVE junk journals and making them though I haven't made a whole lot. I've found it interesting that people I'd never have thought would be interested in junk journals seem to be the most interested...guys even. Anyway, thanks for sharing, it gorgeous! PatriciaD
Hi Patricia! I blame it on Disney..once they anthropomorphized brooms back in Fantasia I went down the rabbit hole ;) Pam
love your videos. easy to follow....
Love this! Can’t wait to order some ephemera sometime!! Beautiful journal!
Hi Jen, its a fun rabbit hole to go down! Ive never come out if it! lol :) Pam :) !!
So nice!
I'm not a native english speaker, so I'm confused... why does she refer to the journal using the feminine pronome ("she")?
I'm just curious!
Anyway, good job :)
Thanks Marcella, its a bit of slang. It is common for cars and boats and other cherished items to be referred to by gender pronouns. Example: "She's a beauty!" is a common phrase used to express joy towards one's car. It's not grammatically correct but it happens :) Hope this helps :) Thanks for asking! Your questions are always welcomed ! :)
@@ThePaperOutpost Thank you very much, now I've learned something more!
I found it lovely, by the way!
So nice interacting with you, you're extremely kind :)
