We are a family farm in central Iowa. There's Papa and Granny, Adam and Jill and 7 children.

Thanks for sharing your farm and family during the winter freeze..it’s really tough out there. But your dinner of summer harvest is a bright spot for sure. We also grow and enjoy summers harvest during winter. And mom canning got me inspired to do some also. Made tomato sauce from whole frozen tomatoes,worked great. Making jam from summer raspberry. Thanks Jill for the inspiration:) We love the drone footage,so pretty!! But we remember your fun times by the pond

Yes we use to grow our own vegetables long time ago when we used to live in Massachusetts three young cows, our place I miss those old days and my profile had a farm I loved it was young 60s and the grandfather. Oh you guys have fun just remember you do have a good life get things done wherever or do see you guys later

Great video! Winter can be hard though I dare say most folks aren’t climbing up a snow and ice covered ladder in minus temps! The food looks yummy. I survive on legumes and other veggies in the winter. Nothing I like better than a pot full of split peas with onions and carrots, lentils over rice or a stew with a variety of tubors including beets, turnips, parsnips, etc. Ok now I am hungry! Giggle

Thanks to Father for today's video It is always informative information when time is limited for daylight and the weather can be hazardous for certain work activities I have the same feelings about winter also and the same issue for summer.

Very interesting about grain marketing strategies. Winter will end followed by spring, summer and fall. It is a great cycle God gives to us by His tilt in the earth axis.

Your family may need vitamin D in winter since you spend so much time outside in the other 3 seasons... vitamin D affects your mood and low levels can make you down and be depressed... just remember that each onch pf snpw will melt and give you water for the fields 😊
Mama makes elderberry syrup and gummies and adds vitamin D to them. Yes, and each day brings us closer to Spring!
