This is a great video. The drone footage and the "V" were great. Q: What would happen if you had a bridle tied off at two points on the tender? Would that make it track straighter?
Brilliant, the best word /advice , Experiment!! I’m wanting to go over Morton and Stradbroke islands at Xmas . I have twin engines on a 28 ft Sea Ray Sundancer so I imagine the engine now waves will create a different form . If possible I will love to send you a video of my efforts for stock video. Great video ta . Ernie Queensland Australia
We tow a 14 foot Zodiac with 40 hp outboard to Catalina Island from San Diego behind our Bertram 38 every summer. It makes only small difference in our boat speeds. We do adjust speed for conditions, of course. Having the bigger RIB for our time at the island is awesome. 80 nm each way.
Very nice video. The drone footage really helps to illustrate the proper way to tow the tender. Well done!
Thanks for the feedback

Do keep your outboard motor tilt down or up?
I want to see the snow edition...
Towing a tender must create a huge amount of drag/need extra power/fuel!!
It's actually a leading cause of divorce. Are you really gonna make the missus handle the tow lines each and every time?
That’s a massive tender for a 46ft boat
Once you already have a tender too big for a davit, you mine aswell go all out and get the best one.
What Ft this Dinghy? 20 ft?
6.1m
Do you think a hatteras can tow a 18 foot sea ray bow rider?
Edit: it's a hatteras 52 motor yacht.
I would think the Hatteras would have no trouble at all towing your bowrider.
@@MotoryachtsUnlimited thanks for the quick response. Love the informational videos.
with proper propping, and keeping speeds in check, so as to not overload the engines, you could technically tow another hatteras 52.......
flat out is best trust me, thank me later
