Peter Buck has such a good ear and knows how to articulate what he's listening to.
It's so awesome to see Chicano Batman blowing up. I'm the same way in that I saw their name and thought "Okay, one of the best band names ever" listened to "Black Lipstick" and was immediately hooked. There's no other band like them around right now and their musicianship and passion is unmatched!
This is just brilliant. Two of the most talent people on the music history (Corin and Peter) reunited with some awesome instrumentists (Scott and Kurt, of course) still making a relevant noise in this days. And I can't be more happy to see what they're listen/looking, specially when comes of my country. We love you too here. Cheers from Brazil!

Wow. These are some great ideas of things to check out. I'm really interested in La Luz. I haven't heard of that. And "New Skin for the Old Ceremony," is one of the most underrated Leonard Cohen albums I think.

I once ran into Peter Buck at a record store in Ann Arbor before REM played there on the Monster tour. He bought box sets from Van Morrison and John Coltrane.

Ridiculous tidbit......I saw Peter Buck knock over a chair accidently in a San Fran Mexican restaurant many years ago. I attribute it to that he was wearing his cool black shades while eating. Great musical selections! Gil Scott Heron still rules!!

Peter looks great! I don't think REM weren't into the drug scene that much, if at all. Can someone out there give me the knowledge? They weren't exactly Guns And Roses you know. Peter, could you mix and re-release The Hindu Love Gods album or unreleased recordings? Let's get Mr. Zevon into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame!

Michael Stipe liked heroin, MDMA and LSD. All were into speed. Think Berry was into hash. And I think cocaine entered the picture during the Monster era. But they wisely kept quiet, and traveled globally without suspicion as a result. I think they were all tripping when they wrote Gardening at Night
