It’s the same when people get overly preachy in religion. They tell themselves and believe they’re making a positive difference, when it’s actually pushing people away
Let the working dogs out and have them take care of that!
My dad used to say get with the program.
If they want to change society, invent alternatives, get elected or do something that boosts the abilty for others to get an education so they can change the world.

I think it’s mostly people who have come to a point of intense fear due to the extremely bad situation our climate systems are in. It’s not about saving dogs. It’s about pointing out that there are no dogs on a dead planet, a fact you probably haven’t thought about today.

There are many who are watching this conflict - that are silent. Why do you suppose they are silent? And what happens once you leave the room? Do you think people are silent then? Fear? Look at history. Why did whaling die out? What did the industrial revolution change? Work within the society, work with people instead of against them- it will be more productive.

I'm not saying this ppl at the dog show did it the right way... but protesting conventionally doesn't seem to yield the desired results. People still don't care even if they protest conventionally. It's no wonder they resort to more extreme methods
@@SageLakshmi petitions have always been a good solution. Also politics. Get as many signatures as you possibly can and send it to some authority so they can deal with it. Or vote in someone who shares your vision.
This video isnt showing an "extreme method", it's just disruptive. It's the same vibe as streakers on a football pitch. It doesnt actually get a point across, it just draws attention to the people themselves.

Think of all the times in history when protests actually did make a difference and brought about change. If you can't think of one I'll give you an example. Imagine telling protestors at a woman's suffrage march that they're attention whoring. I promise you they didn't do it out vain reasons and neither are any of the people in this video

Why aren’t they protesting large sports events? Why aren’t they outside of Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, Costco, Shopping malls? Why aren’t they educating the public that large corporations are the problem and we should be pushing back at corporations for their contribution to the climate crises and also change our spending habits? That’s my whole issue with this style of protest, it isn’t justified to risk the safety of the dogs.
@awalkingsong I guess they felt that they could alarm dog lovers at the venue and those watching from the US, Canada, etc. They targeted a bigger audience than they would standing in front of glazed eye shoppers trying to get into a busy store to get a long list of items.
Dog lovers care about other species and nature as well.
But no one wanted to have their fun spoiled by those do-gooders.

Good point. I'll offer one caveat though re protests that disrupt traffic. That tactic has the potential to delay first responders and possibly cost lives.

They're absolutely right, though. Dogs are killed in every climate disaster, right along with us. Cancer is rampant in dogs these days, far more so than when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's. I've lost seven to cancer in the last fifteen years, two were only ten years old, and one was just four and a half. A toxic environment shortens their lives, too.

Just look at the diffrent weird looking dogs out there. I suspect their DNA has been ruined with all the breeding and that and the poisonous food they make for animals is the real reason for animals getting sick. At least the veterinarian make a good living.

I spend about 6 hours cleaning up trash around where I live. It still looks good after a year. Put in the time to clean up, and trust me, you will feel much better. Every little bit counts. Then, if you can do something, make sure to vote and pay attention to who is in office. You cannot do everything, no. I say protest by cleaning up. My classmate did something similar. A restaurant said they recycled, but they were throwing everything away. She went about it the wrong way like this. Cops were called. As a class, we had to prepare for the damage she caused. They agreed to stop lying, but my classmate was banned for life.
