  • In this short video I create a test page and add a 'page properties' macro. Inside the page properties macro I add a 3 row table with a 'Heading column' in the first column. Data is added to the table. A label is also assigned to the page and published. The page is then copied 3 times and only the data changes. On the list or report page I add a 'page properties report' macro and add the label I used in the three test pages. The result being an automated list or report that pulls in the three page titles and their data.

I was going crazy because Confluence was reordering my columns alphabetically. Turns it's possible to display the report in a custom column order!
Setting it in the option "Columns to show", e.g.: Name,Date,License

Hi @Mike Bowen, Thanks very much for this!! I followed the specifics from your video head to toe with label changes on my end to cater to what I wanted to see. However, it continues to say 'No content found'. I am on Confluence v7.4.4. Appreciate any pointers or insights. I have tried about 5 times so far with no luck :(

As a long time Confluence user I used to organise all of the company's page using page properties and labels.
Although it is a working solution, I had discovered it is not robust enough and missing some essential capabilities.
This is why we have created Metadata for Confluence Cloud (marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222027/metadata-for-confluence-cloud?)
It breaks the limitations of labels and page properties for organising pages, lets you configure your own fields with various types, input and query them.
Additionally, it includes a few macros to integrate the metadata inside the page.
Give it a try with a free trial :)

Thank you, Mike Is it possible to generate a pdf of the pages indexed by the Macro?

Hi Telwin, yes you can PDF the page although you would have to configure PDF formatting. For my examples where I've used a lot of columns on the page it becomes a little messy, similar to printing a spreadsheet. Pages or parts of pages over multiple pages. It is a formatting thing, but yes it is possible to export to PDF.

@@mikebowen5464 can we print the contents of each of the 3 test pages that are part of the report automatically?

@@telwingeorge I would imagine one would need to visit each of the pages and print. The main report is more of a collection of all the sub-reports.
