The slow speed is a compromise taking into account the power available to the site and the shock load the machine can handle. That is; can you get enough amps into it and will the cutters smash off the rollers.

The shredder in the second part of the video is a hammermill which will shred cars mush faster.
That's what I want to see crank up the RPMs. And lob in some heavy duty coil springs while there at it.
@@lorenzomaximo1818 Shear shredders can't be run run at high speed because the metallurgy isn't suitable for high impact. The hardened steel will undergo brittle fracturing at higher speeds.
