As i can see here only FB3 controllers are used, is that correct? And also why the switch is used as the computer can be connected directly to the grandMA?

This specific setup uses the FB3 profile to operate. FB3 is a USB based device and require a PC to operate. THis can only be done over ethernet. FB4 can directly be controlled over ethernet.

You can also use QuickShow, however then you are limited to the 16 channel profile. Only BEYOND has advanced DMX server features.

sirguzzi1000 On the PangolinShows Portal we do have a few definitions for GrandMA that can be used to control QuickShow and BEYOND. However the definition files on the portal can be thought of as a starting point. Especially with BEYOND, it can be expanded greatly...
