"A rare album, recorded at US Lion Studios in Miami (Florida) by Patrick Hearns, a member of the little-known New York band The Sapians, under the pseudonym Hopney. The mixture of southern rock and psych blues was recorded under the strict guidance of producer Mike Pinera, who previously worked with "Blues Image" and "Iron Butterly".

not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf lately xD
@Dangelo Valentin Yup, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since november myself =)
Back then, in the 70s the only way for most of the country to here different artists was either a concert, collage radio shows, or combing through record bins at the very few record stores that carried something besides pop, or by word of mouth. In the last decade I've heard of more artist from that era than I ever heard of back then. Sad.
It's one of the very few redeeming traits of this new generation. A plethera of music and knowledge in quantities that no mind can begin to calculate. It's both a blessing and a curse.
Can’t believe stuff like this is getting lost to time
JackSheets
It HAS been lost to time..... but it has not been lost to The Best Dream.
This is the channel where you will find great "60s and "70s music rescued from the abyss of lost rock-n-roll records. ☮️
There's a lot of good indie stuff from the 90s that's being lost too!
Can't believe stuff like this managed to be resurrected. :)
In a way, it's been fun to find gems like this. It's like having a time machine and being able to travel back in time to get a hot "new" record that is actually from that era...whichever era that happens to be.
It's not unlike going through my uncles record collection and finding out about artists like Todd Rundgren or Can.
What was once lost is now found
JUST AMAZING. NEVER HEARD OF THEM BEFORE. WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL BAND. THANK YOU, Thebestdream I had, YOU NEVER CEASE TO MAKE ME HAPPY. gelu batir, romania, may, 2021

Класс!ненавязчивая и довольно пристойная гитарная музыка.
Nice one
Woah ... intro sounds like Nirvana... its the "Come as You Are" sound
Indeed ! I thought the same.
I like it. Some of the vocal sounds a little like T-Rex
I'm down for the count but don't count me out.

To the channel owner .
Hi ,are there any Albums that You personally would like to hear uploaded for educational purposes?
There are some that I would love to hear.
If You would list a top ten or twenty , I would do the same. Many of these You just cannot hear anywhere else. And that is a shame. Many of the things one could only hear on college stations as You know . Putting content up for purposes that actually are educational is not an infringement of copywriter especially if it cannot be found as any other source material. You know this as well . I have never put out content yet but would be willing to if there was less legal technicalities. It is ludicrous that we pay for this internet and cell phones and they gather all of our personal information and We do not get paid but they do and then if someone shares something they get strikes. A channel I go to occasionally plays songs for a small audience and he is constantly getting strikes. For that reason , I have not put up music I would share. Please respond , I Am subscribed to You and I ha e no content Yet but maybe sometime . Take Care and Stay Safe.
First of all, thank you for being here and supporting this channel with your subscription.
In essence, I do not disagree anywhere with what you are saying, but I would not like to comment.
Copyright is a master's thesis if you understand me, I know for sure (from my experience) that apart from the recognition of subscribers there is no real profit (in the sense of money) to the owners of the channels.
Thank you again for being here, take care of yourself.
just upload what you have and take down whatever youtube flags before you get a strike. you're absolutely correct that the ruling class plays by different rules, at the very least don't be scared to share music on the internet. if you get a strike no big deal, you need three to get banned and even then just make a new account. I frankly don't give a shit about sleazy copyright lawyers trying to pick my vids over a twenty year disbanded band, let them cry to google. lot's of my videos have been blocked too which is why I don't really upload too much anymore but that's just me.
@@ThebestdreamIhad local government thieves and badges stole Our house and EVERYTHING in it .This was over two years now . Anything We had except for a scant few things are gone. Thank You for Your reply as I just read it now after all the h - ll .

@@Alan-zj5fz oh man, are you in Europe? I know the "measures" got really restrictive over there, I'm sorry they did that to you. medical tyranny was implemented on a global scale and everyone is just fine with it. the amount of cognitive dissonance in the average person is dystopian, and we cannot let something like this ever happen again to say the least. glad to talk to some sane people every now and then. thanks for the sub, ill hit ya right back!
It's not that you went wrong it's just that others did not want to listen because it what was classified as weird times.
Not bad.
Doesn´t the singer sings a little out of tune?
This was cool and deserves some attention.
Never heard of this. The first track immediatly made me think of Cream - White Room!
That guitar knows how to tell a story... Damn it's good rock n roll history!!!🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟✌️✌️
Yes, Maximiliano, Hopney Patrick Hearns really knows how to make his guitar talk...wonderful band , never heard from them before
@@gelubatir9794 Patrick J. Hearns aka Hopney guitarist of The Sapiens died October 31st 2016 R.I.P. This album gets bad press in quite a few reviews but I love it. Goofy in the right way as per the late great Ronn Goedert from White Witch.
RUclips, this has educational purposes. It is a rock-n-roll history lesson. Its like going to a library and looking up info the old-fashioned way.
Babis, I'm always at the ready to rock out with you.
This guy knew how to make his guitar talk. I've got this puppy cranked to just below distortion levels. Great LP. Thanks, bro.
How are things in Pireas ? Is the vaccine readily available ?
Thank you again for your kind words. With regard to vaccinations now, there is generally progress with the main priority being the vulnerable groups of the population, followed by the rest by age criteria.
I am going to do both doses of the vaccine in June, until then I am subject to repeated vaccination self-tests.
Everything is fine so far and I hope it stays that way for me and for the whole world if possible.
Be very careful and at some point we will say it up close.

Thanks for hitting" me back... and as always, thanks for the underground music. Your collection is phenomenal.
We went through the phases, here in Chicago. I just received my first dose of Moderna vaccine. One more to go.
Babis, it's crazy. The vaccine is readily available and people aren't getting vaccinated. The life saver is here and people are turning their backs to it. That's Insanity !!!
My friend, when you receive your dose, or doses of vaccine, you're gonna feel like a new man.
I wouldn't know if you're a religious man, but I thank God.
I know within time, a relatively short time, The USA will be helping out other countries of the world.
☮️, ♥️ and health to us all.
By the way, if we were ever to meet, I'd talk your ears off about music, perhaps over libations of your choice.
luckilly there are still people in USA that don't watch television
Как страшно сейчас читать такие комментарии о том что люди ищут варианты где найти вакцину и быстрее уколоться. Жуть. Обманутый мир.
One more overlooked gem that would have deserved to be popular. At least side One, the Second is more uneven. Diverse, inspired and much more relevant today that many of its more successful contemporaries. Sad that the cover sleeve was so crappy. Is it the one that was issued in 1977? Thanks once more for making this music still lives in posting it here.
Excelente trabajo limpio y claro de este muchacho en la guitarra... It worth it! Gran producción de Mike Pinera! Gracias 1000★ tbdih
amazing opening track classic for starters
Love the guitar sounds.
yep! good ole vintage sound!
Had one great producer
Enjoyed this one. "Is There A Doctor in the House"? Good question.
Cool lead breaks.

This rocks so hard!
Should have had a better vocalist.
Like who, Steve Perry or Jeff Scott Soto? Come on now, that’s part of the charm.
Too bad Jim Morrison was already dead, so they couldn't get him.
@@yippeeyokai5750 They could try my stoned hippy cousin who thinks he's Jim Morrison?
@@buddhull I agree. The vocals to me are spot on. I think this guy could have come off like a crooner if he wanted, but he was performing the vocals like a character in a play or movie. His delivery seems appropriate to his message. A David Lee Roth yelp or scream would be wrong. Paul Rogers' serious gravitas would be wrong. I can't imagine anyone else singing these songs.
Well dude is playing Lead, too. Pay another guy? Nah..
Another case of hire a vocalist?
great stuff! very enjoyable!
Nice.
Well, he certainly went for it. Credit for that.
Voice sounds like a mixture of Richard Hell and Jim Morrison.
Is this 1970s androgynous stuff?
