    I am a big fan of the Worx range of tools. As someone who likes some bang for their buck,this product review has sold me. I would only be using it for cleaning my mountain bike,cleaning gardening tools,and I think this would be a great tool for people that like camping. I just love the fact you don't need a dedicated water supply,just a bucket and a nearby stream and you can get the job done. Fantastic!

    Plan to use mine to spray my apple / pear orchard (eight trees). I have no power or water out there. In the past I ran a regular power washer powered using a small 1000 watt generator and put my solution in 5 gallon buckets and ran a small sump pump to feed the solution to the pressure water. It was quite a bulky contraption. I’m hoping with this I can just have an extra battery and a few 5-gallon buckets of fruit tree spray and knock the job out in no time. This way I can spay more often with soapy water also and kill off all those pesky Japanese beetles that get half of my fruit!

    Great honest review. Using it for its intended purpose not as a petrol or electric high pressure cleaner. It’s a pressure cleaner that’s portable to do simple cleaning tasks where there may be no power or water tap to draw from.

    Nice review but interested in why didn’t you use the word soap dispenser as it was so filthy? I got a hydro shot just the other day and it came with one, it’s great for cleaning my work van where there is no hose.

    Any idea how far / high this will push water? I'm considering getting one to spray some flowering crab apple trees with fungicide, and later on with a hormone to stop fruit set. I would mix the product in a bucket and put the siphon hose in the bucket. The spray will need to reach the top of the tree - so about 35 feet vertical and about the same horizontal. Neither my hose-end or pump sprayer reach that far.

      I know they say on there website, that you can't use anything other than water with the unit. I wonder why that is, I don't see how using some soap can mess anything up especially if you clean it after ward by just running some water.

    • @gospos1
      @gospos1 7 лет назад

      Gotallofthem1 ..I actually like it a lot..I think they don't want you to use anything solvent based because what it might do internally..I saw a demo on qvc where the lady said that a little soap in the bucket of water was fine..just be sure to run clean water through it..the idea that you can draw water from any source makes it unique..just don't expect pressure washer power..I even made a hack that you can screw a 64 oz soda bottle to it with a piece of plastic tubing to draw the water out

  • @czellner5894

    Definitely a tool for very specific use. There are definitely times when I would opt for it over my gas or electric washers. It's such a pain to drag out the machine and the water hose. I may have missed it but was that pure water? Does Worx mention using Purple Power type cleaners in the water? Thanks for sharing this one Hank

    • @hanksgarage_
      @hanksgarage_  7 лет назад +1

      +Charlie Zellner yea pure water. Not sure if purple power would be a good idea or if it's ok or not. Big thing would be to run pure water thru after your done if you use regular soap. Not sure if you can mix anything else in the water but I'd be worried about the internals gumming up with old soap left in and not ran out.

      Dmitri Chergibayev Well first of all you need a power washer to power wash siding LOL. Nobody ever called this a power washer. Except for people who don't pay attention to the commercials for this. It is called a "portable power cleaner". See the battery? It says 20 volts. A lot less than a 120 volt powered washer. And way less power than a gas powered washer.

    Great review, no nonsense or foolishness, a straightforward first demonstration with some specs. Next try the that soap accessory on a car and with degreaser on a engine block just to see how much it would take off. Also do you think it would take off caked on grass on under side of a lawnmower deck? Thanks for sharing.

    anyone ever had the idea turning one of these into a flamethrower, buy getting the 2 liter attachment and filling it with gasoline?

    • @hanksgarage_
      @hanksgarage_  7 лет назад +3

      ha probably not the best or safest idea, the whole unit is plastic and would likely melt it

    • @justink-kh3ps
      @justink-kh3ps 7 лет назад +1

      true, but that's why it gets lit about 6 inches away from the nozzle

    • @akaredcrossbow
      @akaredcrossbow 7 лет назад +1

      B1 Battle Droid the gas itself will melt it. Gas will eat through some plastic. If you did this, it is possible the whole thing plus you will go up in flames 🔥. I would recommend strongly to not do it. Some years ago myself and some friends used expensive battery operated squirt guns as a flamethrower. The plastic held up pretty good with the gas, we thought! 10 minutes in having a blast, my friends hands feet and clothes were on fire. He got burned very bad.

    Bought one of these and wasn't impressed. You need a bucket of water to use this, and it has a float that sucks up the water through the hose. Pressure isn't very good and would be okay for light duty. Maybe washing a car or some patio blocks. As far as washing siding, this is not adequate. It will take off the top layer, but not powerful enough to remove the bottom layer that is clinging. Also, it's only as good as how much water you have in your bucket, then you need to fill it up again.

    Not your fault, but the owner's manual that comes with this is the worst I've ever seen. You need to be good at deciphering wordless cartoon pictures to figure it out. And nowhere in the "manual" does it say how to connect this to a regular garden house and pressurized water source, but the official video from WORX (ruclips.net/video/wDMu43U1DIg/видео.html) does tell you how to use it with a pressurized water source and garden hose.
