I received a bracelet when I was in ROTC in 1993. It is permitted wear while in uniform even on active duty. I wore my bracelet for 17 years, until we repatriated the remains of my fallen Airman. I was deployed when he was returned with honor so I sent the bracelet with a letter expressing my gratitude for his service, to his family and welcoming him home. It was an honor to wear it.
I see that this is old footage but let me just say that this sixty-three year old man cried watching this. I remember the bracelets. I remember the planes landing and the POWs exiting the planes to be reunited with their loved ones.
God Bless Kathy Strong and the James Morland family, Who waited and waited and waited. It is sad that the story that did not have a happy ending, but the devotion of the family and Kathy to never give up hope, is a reminded to all of us. It is something that you can not put a price on or justify..... It is something we do for our fellow man. It has meaning only in the heart and mind.
Truly an amazing story of faith and hope and believing in the American soldier. Pretty much made my week. Seeing how horribly "we" treated our military members returning from Vietnam, I am so glad for and so proud of Kathy Strong. Thank you for being an amazing soul.
Everyone had those bracelets back then,I also wore one, until the boy I knew can back...We also wore St.Christopher metals for them....to touch and say a prayer...

Undying love for a person that she never knew.
Now that's dedication. That is something you just don't hear about these days.

Dedication to our troops not just in words or on a bumper sticker but in action. And we all know actions speak louder than words!!
Am crying

Oh my God. I'm speechless.
I’m Canadian so I can’t relate with the bracelet wearing and whatnot. But that women should be proud of herself.

They don't make women like they used to
